Barcode scanner is free — something competitors charge a subscription for

Product lookup by barcode is free with no caps; users cite it as the top reason to pick this over MyFitnessPal

For a free app, it's perfect! you can scan foods in with bar codes, enter your own custom recipes and foods, track calories, carbs, cholesterol, and protein, as well as track your progress. A subscription is not required for the app to be effective or easy to use, but let's you access community recipes and posts, plus giving you a bit more feedback in other smaller ways

easy to use ,good recipes, big library of food macros and barcode scanner. my go to carb / macro counting app.

this is a fabulous ap. even random foods, the bar code scanner finds them. really user friendly. sometimes for a reason I cant figure out, it wont load but a few hours later it works again. thats all good though, its a great ap and I just use the free one. if I was going to continue I would be really tempted to pay for the extras cos they look cool but I am more just trialing this way of eating at

carb manager is great! I was shocked how off my macros. their easy charts and ease of entering your meals has helped me on my nutrition journey. my favorite is the Challenges and gaming the activity with others. it helps keep me accountable.

It allows me to log and track many different food macros, including calories. If you can't find something in the database then you build it yourself in the recipe builder.

Recipe builder calculates macros for home-cooked meals from their ingredients

If it's not in the database, you can build it yourself — calculates carbs and calories using the specific ingredient brands you use

Easy to use and I like how you can scan items to log in and while you are making your own recipes.

love this app, and I only have the free version!!

So far, I'm just using the free side of the app and I love how it helps me keep track of protein, fats and cards, along with water.

Users link the app to real weight loss and improved lab results

Many report significant weight loss — from tens to hundreds of pounds — and lower blood glucose levels

so far in 6 months, I lowered my Glucose level by 0.6 point, all because I am tracking carbs

love this app. lost 10 lbs so far

Great user friendly approach, I have found an effective and happy medium in losing weight.

Useful for diabetics — tracks carbs and protein; premium adds glucose and ketones

Focuses on carbs and protein rather than just calories; paid tier adds glucose and ketone logging

I'm diabetic so naturally I don't like to dive a good review

so far in 6 months, I lowered my Glucose level by 0.6 point, all because I am tracking carbs

as a diabetic I searched everywhere for an app that would let me track my carbs and protein over calories and fat. this is that app. I LOVE all the features, sleek and easy to understand.

Goals are flexible for any diet, but the keto framing is pushed on everyone

Macros and targets can be tuned for keto, carnivore, calorie deficit, or the Zone diet

Love this app as I continue my carnivore journey!

It locks up frequently on my Samsung. (the 4-star)Plus, I know it's for low carb but I want to use it for regular eating and the keto presence is overwhelming. .

I keep coming back not doing Keto anymore now I'm doing a calorie deficit but so far this app is really good when it comes to easy understanding and input a new food trust me I tried MFP and it was so confusing with the servings.

Direct sync with Samsung Health and Google Health Connect is missing

Apple Health, Fitbit, and Garmin connect and merge activity with nutrition

Great app, but please allow to connect to Samsung Health.

Ive been using this app for 5 months. I like the premium recipes and the saved food favorites. Its pretty straight forward to use if you have ever used a calorie or food tracking app. Also has integration with my formerly known as "Fitbit" now "Google Health" watch. you can track weight and ketones.

Great app. Would be 5 stars if nutrition data was shared with Health Connect.

Android users want a home-screen widget for quick food logging

Power users log meals and find foods quickly straight from the main screen

***Another year and no widget*** try some of the other popular apps. this has great features, but no widgets means less usability for quick entry. *** Update *** A year later and still no widgets for android .......................................... This sucks. Love the app, but the fact that Android users can't get a widget on the home screen is a pretty big oversight. This alone will garuntee I

Been using it on and off for about 5 years.. The only thing missing now is a widget. Im pretty sure there used to be one before??

this app makes it easy to track my intake right from my home screen on my phone. very helpful!

Weekly reports, milestones, and reminders keep users on track

Nutrition summary emails, progress milestones, and reminders build accountability and help people stick with it

carb manager is great! I was shocked how off my macros. their easy charts and ease of entering your meals has helped me on my nutrition journey. my favorite is the Challenges and gaming the activity with others. it helps keep me accountable.

I love this app for tracking carbohydrates. But wait, there's more! It tracks everything I want to track. I like the emailed reports on your nutrition. Download it and give it a try.

great for getting the weight off! tracking food intake keeps me accountable. it works!!

Newcomers find the interface overwhelming; veterans find it clear

Most users find food logging easy and the design clean and pleasant

hard to use

not user friendly. Hard to understand.

What users hate

Food data is user-submitted — riddled with errors and duplicates

The same food appears with different carb counts, there's no validation on entries, reported errors go unfixed for years, and totals sometimes don't add up — a custom recipe can show more carbs than the sum of its ingredients. Reliable tracking means building your own verified entries

was great now not a single thing I enter has the same nutrients as what's on the label, the whole app seems off. exiting menus to enter other or simply going back is also frustrating. was a great app, but not good anymore

incorrect info supplied by idiots, so macro numbers could be off

Imperial units and US brands only — everyone else does the math manually

Weights in ounces and cups, heavy emphasis on US brands and packaged foods; international users and anyone cooking from scratch have to convert to grams and enter everything by hand

the app is not bad but a major hole is that the calculations are incorrect. it says I only have 24 calories left in my budget for the day, but it also says I have 20 g of protein, 5 grams of fat, and 2 g of carbs left which comes out to way more than 24 Cal. it's unfortunate but I can't trust any of the calculations after seeing that.

Can't set metric option have to edit from imperial. Based on US foods, brands & nutritional data unhelpful due as Australian nutritional 'carb' value is Net carbs as fibre and sugar are displayed separately. You can enter Australian brands & manually adjust the nutritional values but it is so tedious & time consuming. can't rely on data entered by other members as I have had seen multiple options

It takes forever to enter food because measuring units are idiotic. Sorry, the only weight is ounces, not grams, but litres are available for solid foods. So all the super computing AI dribble, I have to go out the app and convert grams to oz myself.

The exercise section is thinner than expected

Limited exercise library, no workout plans, calorie-burn estimates are inaccurate, and adding a workout can create a duplicate entry

I like it, but when you create a workout, it enters twice. when you delete one, both are deleted. also when creating another, the time and calories burned are the same as the created workout entered before. I won't do premium until this is fixed. EDIT PER DEVELOPER RESPONSE: they responded within a day and gave me some options to engage with more specifics. Regardless of the eventual resolution, a

3.5 out of 5. Been using this for 7 months now and am a premium member. It works but is missing features and buggy, and I haven't seen any updates and no indication that it's going to be updated anytime soon. It's just a stripped down browser that displays their website were all the magic happens. It lacks the ability to create workout plans. Their javascript frequently hangs causing a restart of

Meal-plan generator and AI assistant both disappoint

Auto-generating a plan to hit target macros often fails, and the built-in assistant just forwards you to support, where you can wait days for a reply

have to downgrade to three stars, from 5: their so-called AI helper usually fails, referring me to emailed support. furthermore the failed bought states that a reply will arrive in 24 hours, it's been 48 to 72 hours, still no reply. Previous review: very nice app, makes it easy to track everything I eat. easily recognizes the vast majority of foods' barcodes I scan.

I instantly loved the app after I first installed it, but 2 of the main functions for me - intermittent fasting and meal planning - were part of the premium offer. I didn't think about it very long and paid for premium. Unfortunately, these two functions are underwhelming. For meal planning I need to be able to see an overview for the week in a single screen and - most importantly - be able to ski

Frustrating! This app is not able to generate meal plans according to your desired/required macros. There is a false feature that suggests you can, but this doesn't work. It often fails leaving the user to do all the work. There is no point in paying for an app that is counterproductive and a huge waste of time. Their AI helper is also no help. So disappointed!

Onboarding forces account creation and a calorie goal before you can do anything

First launch pushes mandatory sign-up and a calorie target, even if you just came to count carbs — some users delete the app right there

Tried it months ago; just tried it again. I get by the "pick which things are made by humans" verification, but then match the things that are most alike won't EVER verify me & let me log into the account I created. So I don't know if the app is actually good or not since I can't access my own account. Won't try again; will try to find one that's actually accessable.

The first 9 (of 9) recipes I opened, which happened to be the first 9 entrees presented in the app, were all "Premium"/paid subscription recipes, so I have no way to rate this anything other than a "1" as I unable to view any of the recipes. Moreover, the app forces you to create a "plan" on first use, which I have no interest in. Uninstalled immediately after experiencing those two things as noth

I find it so tacky that this is a carb tracking app and when you open it up the first thing they do is have you set up a calorie goal and the app is set up as though you can somehow calculate your calorie deficit. The whole entire point of low carb diets is to lower insulin or blood sugar. Its so unhealthy to restrict carbs and calories at the same time, and it should be up to the user to set thei
