What users love
Shared family calendar: one person adds it, everyone sees it instantly
Anyone in the family adds an event and it shows up for everyone right away — no more "I didn't know about that"
Great app shared with family members to keep everyone informed.
No one can say they did know something was on the schedule!!
I've been using this calendar for around 10 years now to manage my side business, family, and youth sports schedules. Love it. Easy to separate "what's what" for everyone accessing. You can add people to the birthday calendar which gives you reminders and their age. My favorite feature actually has nothing to do with the actual calendar. We use a lot of shared lists that give you the ability to sh
A color per person: you know whose event it is at a glance
Each family member gets their own color, so the calendar makes it immediately clear who owns which event

Been using this app for years. Today I spent a long time adding items. Then I opened the app this evening and I saw all the items I added throughout multiple sessions during the day. Then they disappeared. Only the checked items remained. very frustrating and a great waste of my time.
Terrible Android interface. Looks fine on Apple, dont use this app if you and your family use different phone ecosystems.
Shared shopping list: add from home, cross off at the store
Anyone can add items from home; whoever's at the store sees the live list and checks things off — no calls, texts, or fridge photos needed
Why can you swipe to delete?? I've been using this app for YEARS & heavily rely on it for grocery shopping and packing when traveling. However, when there's an app that exists for you to add checklists and then click a separate button to actually say "delete all" when you then get a "yes" or "no" to confirm you really want to delete all, WOULD YOU GIVE US THE OPTION TO SWIPE TO DELETE??? great app, prefect for our use to keep track of appointments between the family etc, also the recipe section is good, should try them some time.
like the app. Easy to use.
Bridges iPhone and Android households where standard calendars fail
Brings spouses on different phones into one shared calendar and list, where native cross-platform scheduling between Apple and Android breaks down
Best app I've found to share calendars, shared To-Do-Lists, and shared shopping lists. Makes it easier for my wife and I to add things to lists and calendar on the fly. Also works seamlessly between my Android and her iPhone.
great for keeping active lists shared by my wife and myself. would be invaluable for a busy family.
very useful.
Meal planning and recipes with ingredients pushed straight to the shopping list
Plan dinners for the week, load a recipe by URL, and send its ingredients directly to the shared shopping list
love this app
easy to share with the family. use for grocery lists and meal planning.
this is one of the best apps an we've been with them more than 15 years ....
Yearly reminders for birthdays and anniversaries with automatic age tracking
Enter a date once and the app reminds you every year, automatically calculating the current age
like the app. Easy to use.
Great way to stay organized with others on the plan. Ability to have multiple lists and an anniversary/birthday tracker. have used this for years!
great calendar
A lifeline for ADHD users and large busy families who need everything in one place
The calendar and lists help people who struggle to keep track mentally, and make juggling schedules across large families manageable
I've been using Cozi since 2004. Having an app to use on my mobile makes it even simpler to use. I love it [edited 04/2017 rvw+ update] Still using calendar daily. Cozi was a sanity saver when I had children in high school, K-8th, & day-care, while I attended school toomwith an alternating schedule. The ability to easily create repeating schedules, along with adding outside schedules simplified ti
We've been using Cozi for years and it has been the base of our family staying organized. The app's API taps into many different devices for easy syncing of multiple calendars. It can only get better from here for one of the most used apps by our family.
Super helpful!! As someone with adhd who has a hard time keeping track of complex tasks the calender and todo lists were great! I do wish more things were free but there wasn't many ads and the core parts of the app weren't paid
Simple, approachable interface — even older relatives can figure it out
Easy enough for non-technical and elderly family members to get started; the whole household can use it
I use it for work scheduling, it's actually pretty helpful and easy to use!
Easy to use!
like the app. Easy to use.
Coordinates multiple households, caregivers, and eldercare routines
Works well for syncing schedules across multiple homes and caregivers — especially for medical appointments, caring for parents, and childcare
Its is really nice because I can see everyone's schedule but there are a lot of tabs and different sections that are confusing to work around. I think it would be easier if I didn't see all the items I would have to pay for (and less confusing to explain to elders). I mostly got this app to help manage my schedule with my grandmother and she is not good with technology but we are trying.
Great as a family planner!
Great tool for keeping track of 4 grandkids.
One shared family password instead of individual logins
The shared account is convenient — everyone sees the same up-to-date data
We had been using Cozi as a family for many years, but in the last month, it has almost become unworkable. The biggest problem has been items disappearing from shared lists, which has been awful for grocery shopping. Also annoying has been the "last list used" used to be the default in the home screen, but now we have to go in and search for the grocery list every time. We'll be looking for a new
spent half hour just trying to create an account and get help to no avail. If creating an account is this hard , app is not for me.
helpful organization tool
What users hate
The look is stuck in the 2010s, no dark mode
The design looks a decade out of date — no dark mode, no modern aesthetic, clearly overdue for a visual refresh
I subscribed for the updated ai version of Cozi but I've been unable to use it. I tried to use the menu planner with it but can't. I won't subscribe again because I've found better apps. I use to love Cozi but it isn't as good as it use to be.
App is getting worse as time goes on to force you to upgrade to the paid version. I'm probably going to drop it and move to a new one that isn't as annoying pushing an upgrade and paywalling super basic features. UPDATE dropped stars down to 1. App is bugged to hell, items get randomly deleted, lists move around without my permission, ads load in just as you tap the screen and take you out of the
incredibly useful for our family! we love it!
Android version is noticeably weaker than iOS
On Android (especially Samsung) dates appear below event info instead of above, and the month view lacks color coding — the iOS version handles both correctly
the color coding for Month on the Samsung galaxy tab 11+ DOES NOT WORK. the color coding works for the agenda and 3 day tab.
my only complaint is the Android version puts the calendar dates across the bottom instead of at the top like other calendars (Google). This at quick glance, causes confusion on what activity is scheduled for which day. The apple version's display is "normal... numbers across the top.
the concept is great but the layout and display for android just isn't there. My wife is on IOS and loves it, but it's basically unusable for me. Color codes on the calendar is the biggest gap
Accidental deletions: a swipe removes items with no confirmation
A light tap or swipe deletes a list item with no prompt, and in a long list you often can't remember what just vanished

Ads were giant and too easy to accidentally tap.
It's a good app for the free version. After reading reviews from subscribers I would definitely NOT pay to subscribe. The swipe to delete an item from your shopping list without any confirmation is useless and stupid. Whoever was in charge of adding it is stupid and and should be fired.
Lists rearrange themselves and items drift to the bottom
Items jump between categories, new items land at the bottom instead of the top, and the main list scrolls to the very end of the page
wish it would quit logging me out and rearranging my lists in no particular order. at least alphabetize if not leave the most recent at the top
my lists keep rearranging themselves
It was a usable app. It is now a pure annoyance with the amount of new bugs in the last few months. Not to mention the UX "choices" made. A circular progress indicator after every single edit, really? Seriously? Only to then show list in the wrong order, too. If I were to make a guess: Congrats on switching to vibe coding. Do y'all check it at all or whatever, push to prod without looking?
No alphabetical sort, no search, no way to send checked items back to the top
Missing: alphabetical ordering, in-list search, a "hide checked" option instead of delete, and a way to move purchased items back up
wish it would quit logging me out and rearranging my lists in no particular order. at least alphabetize if not leave the most recent at the top
reinstall does not solve this issue. my partner always clean the grocery list when they open it and everything that is Younger than a certain date has to be all over again. this means that the grocery list is useless
been using it with my wife for a couple of years.... its great! the only thing that bugs us both is the inability to sort the groceries alphabetically either as a while or within sub groups. would love that ability 😀 keep up.the great work folks!
No flexible recurrence and no reminders for tasks; time is always required
Only preset intervals (daily/weekly/monthly) — "every 2 weeks" isn't an option; every event requires a time; household tasks and chores get no reminders
Doesn't have key features that we need! 1) You can't customize repeatability (you can't set up events for "every 2 weeks or every 5th day"). You can only use their built in periodicity such as daily, weekly, monthly. 2) You are forced to fill out time blocks for every event. So within 2 mins of downloading, I found out I can't put my work schedule in the app with out typing in every week separatel
no option for repeating chores
Great way to manage family schedule. simple and to the point. paid version not outlandishly expensive. you can sync to other Google calendars or import data.
No real two-way sync with Google or Outlook
Google and Outlook integration either doesn't work as documented or is read-only — you can't edit in both directions
Great for keeping all the calendar entries for all the different members in the house. Room for improvement ideas....better app option for the PC.....print option on the mobile app....ability to sync with Google and Outlook calendars that reads AND edits both directions and not just readable. I depend on my email calendars for other issues (work/school) that require those particular calendars. I g
can't get into my calendar. can't change the password. can't contact anyone at cozi. request won't go through. very unhappy that I'm wasting time trying to access something that I pay for.
very slow
Month view shows no event details and is tiny on large screens
The month view hides event details, today's date is hard to spot, and on tablets and large phones everything is too small to read
the color coding for Month on the Samsung galaxy tab 11+ DOES NOT WORK. the color coding works for the agenda and 3 day tab.
my only complaint is the Android version puts the calendar dates across the bottom instead of at the top like other calendars (Google). This at quick glance, causes confusion on what activity is scheduled for which day. The apple version's display is "normal... numbers across the top.
it does not do a good job of syncing multiple people.
Pushy AI buttons and AI-tier ads shown even to paid Gold subscribers
Large new smart-add and event-import buttons take up space and advertise the AI tier even to subscribers; AI-generated recipes often appear in the wrong language

You need to alphabetize the grocery list and add search.
Cozi has many great options but be careful who you grant access to. Every email that's added has full admin access and they can delete everything you've saved with no ability to recover.
