Podcasts and religious content are a distinct draw
Part of the audience comes for the full Quran with every reciter and for educational, including religious, podcasts — something rivals lack, and it keeps niche users around.
The podcasts are so educative...especially the religious podcasts, being that I'm a Theology student
all quraan is there with all the readers .. fantastic
listening to podcasts is dreadful. audio just disappears every 30 seconds or so

You pick a song and it plays a «recommendation» instead
The single most common complaint: pick a specific track and the app diverts you to «similar» or «cool» recommended songs, refusing to let you hear the one you actually chose. Many quit over exactly this.
why tf u keep playing songs I dont like when I choose a specific song and ur like " we're playing some recommended songs u may like"
Horrible app literally the worst app for songs ever doesn't even play the song you click on !!!! They always divert you to other trashy songs!!!
If I choose a song I do NOT want recommended songs first. Let people listen to the song they choose
Playback stops on its own and the app crashes
After recent updates the music cuts out when switching to other apps, opening the lock screen, or getting a notification, and the app crashes constantly — for some this has dragged on for years.

The library is shrinking: songs vanish from likes and playlists
It reads like losing licences from major labels: whole albums disappear (The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Drake) and hundreds of saved tracks vanish straight from playlists and likes. People cancel their subscription specifically over this.
now they deleting over 500 songs.

Too many ads, even in basic scenarios
On the free tier ads run after every song, and basics like lyrics, repeat, rewind and playing in order are locked behind a subscription. For many it builds up until they uninstall.

Search is weak: it misses even an exact title
The search engine is outdated and has no smart ranking: it surfaces unofficial covers instead of the original even when you type the exact title, and sometimes returns no results at all for a favourite artist.

Opaque charges and unwanted billing
Money gets deducted for a subscription the user never signed up for, renewals happen with no warning, and support doesn't respond. It escalates to threats of legal action over unauthorized charges.
I never subscribed to Anghami, yet AED 21 was deducted from my phone bill every month for the past 3 months plus the coming bill.
I did not authorize any renewal. Failing to provide prior notice by email or in‑app alert is a clear breach of consumer rights.
i purchased anghami plus gift for 3 months ,money already deducted from my card, but once i try to send the gift it says "failed to prepare share link"
Regional blocks cut access to the catalog
A paid subscription doesn't guarantee access: songs play for only 30 seconds as if «not Arabic», new Amr Diab albums are unavailable outside MENA, and users in Syria and elsewhere lose half their library entirely.
All the Arabic songs for Amr Diab, Tul8te, Bahaa Sultan, and many play for only 30 seconds as if they are not Arabic!!

I can't access the new albums because I am not in the MENA region ! I live in the United States and I only subscribed to be able to listen to Arabic music
Lyrics view «swipes» you to the next track
Trying to scroll the lyrics, the slightest deviation from a straight line is read as a swipe to the next song — making it impossible to calmly read along or skip between lyric sections.
The lyrics UX is horrible every time i slightly not scroll in a straight line it detects it as a swipe to the next song
when i swipe the lyrics it swipe the next song. it's really annoying please add the feature that i can turn it off.
