I specifically use it for my kids so that they can have 35 minutes of YouTube per day, but they can have unlimited Podcast access and Skype access. The unlimited access works so that it does not count against their general allotment time of one hour per day.
it let's my kid have access to only the things I want when I want and allows the safety apps even after bedtime just in case
This app is great! It monitors all of my teens text, app usage & screen time. Love that I am able to control alot of the settings while still giving privacy.

I have used most all parent monitoring/control apps over the last 5 years. All have their strengths and weaknesses. I have been using Boomerang for the last 3 weeks and can say so far it outshines all the others I've tried. Sure there are a few things that could be better, but so far I'd say this is the BEST one out there. At least for Android.
After having Boomerang since 2021, I can tell you this is the best parental monitoring app ever! Thank you! As my kids grow, I can adjust the settings.

App capabilities are great... when they are working. When I "extend time" or apply a "time-out", the circle just keeps turning and it doesn't actually register.
I have set time limits on my daughter's apps such as snap chat and blocked clash of clans but I noticed that she was still able to be on both apps for 6 hours per app!
Schedules don't work and hours seem to be completely off.

I installed it as my child found a way to hack family-link and use unlimited screen time. My child hacked Boomerang in 2 days
Boomerang Accessibility permission can be switched off by a child at any time, making the app almost useless.

The refresh is really behind a lot. Over an hour lag. Not very helpful if you're trying to find someone or keep them safes from online predators
location isn't ever accurate or accurate within 2-3 hours. More of an annoyance than anything, for everyone using it.
