Huge catalog: Bravo, WWE, Telemundo, sports and favorite shows in one place
The main reason people stay: a rich mix of classics and new releases, Bravo reality, sports (motocross, baseball, the Olympics), Telemundo. Many call it their favorite streaming service.

For many it comes bundled with their ISP or a Walmart+/Instacart membership, and the ~19.99 annual price is praised as excellent value. Free or cheap access is a genuine plus.
How can you go wrong with a complimentary subscription just for having Xfinity?
I love peacock. Yes there are ads but they're not long ads and you get what you pay for like 19.99 for a year is excellent pay.

Ads keep playing even on the premium plan you paid extra for
People buy the top tier specifically to kill ads — yet the ads keep coming: several per episode, 45 to 190 seconds long, sometimes right before the final scene. It feels like being charged for nothing.
App still has commercials in its PREMIUM offering. you need premium PLUS in order to watch without adds.
"Premium" plan and I'm watching 3 one minute ads each 20 minute episode. And they literally place one ad right before de very last scene, so you have to watch an ad just for 5 seconds of the show.

You pay, then it instantly demands an upgrade before you can watch anything
The classic trap: you buy a plan for a specific match or show, open it, and the app demands an upgrade to a pricier tier. It hits World Cup subscribers especially hard.
installed and paid for the app so that I can watch the US Open golf. I go to watch the golf and get informed that I have to upgrade to do so.
asking to upgrade my plan everytime I want to watch a movie. my payment isn't past due and I have the highest plan available
big scam !! I pay $ 10.99 for premium Membership for one month so I can watch the world cup at Telemundo. i watch one game only and now is asking again to upgrade to a plam of $16.99 if I want to keep watching.
You paid, but the app doesn't recognize the subscription and locks you out
Money is charged (often twice), Google shows the payment, the TV works — but the phone app insists there's no subscription and pushes you to pick a plan again. Money gone, no access.
paid $11 for upgrade and it says I have upgrade but for some reason I can't watch shows. they say because I purchased it through 3rd party but there's no way to confirm payment so I can watch what I paid for so Im just out of $11

The app lags, buffers, and crashes — especially on TV
Endless spinning circle, freezes, black screens, random crashes. Users with fast internet say Peacock is the only app that behaves this way.
THE SLOWEST APP TO EVER EXIST. peacock is slow on mobile and slow on my television. I have to plan opening the app on my TV or my phone, and walk away while it loads to get a snack or something.
it's a garbage app for the phone, tablet, and TV. constant clipping while streaming or load screens that freeze. I promise it's not poor internet, I get 250Mbps, and no other streaming app has these issues.
Doesn't load half the time and when it does it sits there and spins forever! Don't have this problem with any other streaming service. So tired of seeing the something went wrong screen!
It can't remember which episode or spot you stopped at
"Continue watching" throws you back to episodes you've finished or to the start, and fixing it means scrubbing forward through even more ads. A double punishment for the player's bug.
It sucks at keeping track of what episode I left it on. I'll be on episode 5 and out of nowhere it'll say im on episode 2 and it does it 4 times out of five.
won't save place in episode and keeps going back to beginning. to try and find your place you have to watch endless ads over and over
Worst auto play feature ever. Why would you put me on episode 1 of a show I've seen every episode of???
World Cup and matches stream in Spanish only, with no English audio
US viewers pay for the broadcasts, yet matches (especially the 2026 World Cup) are Spanish-only with no way to switch language. For many it's the deciding reason to cancel.
I will never understand why I have a subscription and have to watch the Brazil game in Spanish in the United States of America.
video streaming is good but why does livestream of FIFA World cup games are on Spanish audio. Please give option for english as well.

There's effectively no support — just AI bots and refusals to refund
When you're charged with no access, there's nowhere to turn: live chat is broken, social channels go silent, only AI "agents" reply. Google cites a no-refund policy. The customer is left out of pocket and unhelped.
Worst service ever! No customer support! I paid for their premium plan to watch the world cup, robbed my money and gave me error message, missing out the games with no customer support to get, live chat on their website is broken, they don't reply on Facebook
charged me even after i canceled my account and now cant get refund because you have no way of contacting them
you can only talk to AI "agents" with peacock, my bank won't let me dispute it because I authorized the purchase despite not receiving the service I paid for.
Disturbing, aggressive ads during kids' and sports content
Horror trailers, aggressive and pharma ads pop up during soccer or kids' shows, and the ad volume is jarringly loud. Children get scared, parents are furious.
they play horror movie and scary TV commercials during sporting events. had this issue during the Olympics and now the world cup. My small children love soccer but get so scared with this horrible commercials!
Keeps showing terrible ads (horror, agressive) while showing kids or sport events.
AD VOLUME OUT OF CONTROL. Cant watch at night or while trying to fall asleep because ads are EXTREMELY LOUD!! SHAME!!!
Charges after cancellation and for subscriptions never signed up for
Double charges, billing for an already-cancelled plan, mystery installs by the provider. It reads as hidden fees and fraud.

Too many ads for a paid service — ad breaks eat half the episode
Even on ad-supported tiers the load is extreme: 5 to 6 minutes of ads per 22–30 minute episode, and pausing now gets covered by an ad. People compare it to regular TV and leave for free Tubi/Pluto.
The ads have become unbearable. You get at least 5 minutes of ads for 23-30 minutes shows.
"Pause" is RUINED. I can no longer pause to read what's on the screen because it blocks it with an ad while it's paused! As if there aren't enough ads! Horrible app!
biggest rip off I've ever seen. Pay $80 to watch a 25 min show with 6 minute plus commercial breaks!?!? Greedy company.
