Those who like the service value the breadth of the catalog: lots of movies and shows, new releases and old favorites, everything gathered in one place, including kids' content.
FOUND: Streaming service WHERE I can find EVERYTHING! All the subs in ONE place. thank goodness. also has endless movie options. Actual,quality movies... never ending. WORTH IT!

Even with a paid subscription, much of the catalog — especially new releases and old films — is locked behind separate rental or purchase fees. Users feel the subscription buys them nothing.
Now they are selling every movie. Even old movies are on rent. Their is nothing prime now a days. I will not purchase again

Why the hell should anyone pay for an annual subscription if there's a need to rent movies to watch.
Rewinding forces you to watch ads all over again
The player handles ads atrociously: rewind a few seconds and the ads replay, sometimes several in a row. People get stuck in an ad loop just trying to find the spot they left off.
Hope you like ads ads ads. Wanna rewind? Chances are you'll get an ad for it.

Black screen: the audio plays but the picture is gone
A widespread bug: the video doesn't show, only audio plays, and the screen stays black. Often only rebooting the phone helps, which makes the app borderline unusable.
Every single time I pause a video and lock my phone, unlocking it gives me a completely black screen. The audio plays, but the video stays pitch black. The only way to get it working again is to reboot the device.
The video doesn't appear and sometimes only audio works and the screen remains black. I have faced this issue 10+ times.

Constant lag, freezing and buffering
The app is sluggish: endless loading, stuttering playback, freezes even on flagship phones. Users note that pirate sites run smoother than this paid service.
Prime Video needs to improve. This is a very slow application. Loading, loading, loading 👎👎
The app lags constantly, stutters during playback, and is riddled with bugs. It’s genuinely embarrassing that pirated streaming sites provide a smoother, more stable experience than a premium paid service. Fix your app.

Full-screen mode and on-screen buttons are broken
Core player elements fail: video won't go full-screen on the first tap, the control buttons won't disappear, X-Ray and the status bar bleed over the video. A fundamental part of the video player is broken.
Too many ad, the video doesn't go full-screen. You actually have to hit the full screen button twice to for it to go full-screen. It shows the x-ray details on the first tap. Even when it does go full-screen, the status bar is not hidden. How have they broken such a fundamental part of a video player?
The toggle buttons at the bottom are not dissapearing whole watching any content in full screen mode. This bug is very irritating kindly improve this ASAP and resolve this error.
this app constantly has issues: buttons not working, on screen displays not going away, caching even though the video is playing. always having to clear cache and storage to get it to work properly. what a joke amazon.
Subtitles are clumsy and out of sync
Subtitles are a pain to manage: presets were removed, you can't set size or style, the text with a black background covers a quarter of the screen, and captions go out of sync or stop working after you leave the app.
Very badly optimised app. Subtitles are way out of sync. The player is always crashing. They have removed the option of selecting the available preset and it makes the subtitles to cover almost a quarter of the screen with a default black background.
subtitles are ridiculously difficult to manage or change. Half the time, changing subtitle settings is a headache
You can't adjust the subtitle style. If you exit the app for some reason and return the subtitles stop working. Toggling them on amd off does nothing.
No gestures for brightness, volume or playback speed
The player lacks things that are basic in 2026: no gesture sliders for brightness and volume, no playback-speed control, no proper next-episode autoplay. Competitors solved this long ago.
basic features such as seamless next-episode autoplay, gesture-based brightness controls, and on-screen volume controls should be standard. The lack of these features makes binge-watching less convenient
the worst user interface.. brightness gets adjusted automatically when a notification comes .. can't watch in landscape mode easily..there is no volume or brightness slider
Hey it's good but I guess there is a feature that's missing and everyone needs it i.e. playback speed controller so that we can adjust the speed of the shows according to our choice

People pay, yet the app insists there's no subscription; support promises a fix within an hour and vanishes. Money taken, no access — it's perceived as outright fraud.

I have taken subscription of 1400 rupee but still they are showing that I have not subscribe, I have contacted to customer team they told ki within an hour either my payment would get written to me or my subscription will start but nothing happened

Locked out over the device limit
The service complains about too many devices even when only one is logged in, and locks you out for a month instead of a soft cap. The account suddenly drops from one device while staying on another.
Kept telling me I was using more than allowed devices logged on at one time when I only had one streaming device logged on.
i get message for getting locked on for 1 month. at least, Apple services are better than yours, where it freezes other devices usages rather than doing a permanent lock.
I was enjoying this app with all the movies and shows but all of a sudden it kick me out of my wife prime. I have prime on tv but not my cell phone which is very suspicious.
Dated interface and broken search
Navigation is clumsy: search returns the wrong films, sub-genre filters are gone, and reaching the right season takes a dozen clicks. The interface feels like 2003 next to Netflix.
Worst UX I have ever seen in my life. The movies and series are superb, great download and caption options too, but the interface is so 2003.

Filters in the search are non existent. The app used to let you select sub-genres, rating, included with prime, etc. Now it gives you no more control than clicking on the presets on the home page.
Doesn't remember where you stopped
The «Continue watching» section works poorly: favorite shows vanish from it, episodes restart from the beginning, and Alexa forgets your progress. Every time you have to hunt for your spot again.
My 3 favorite shows keep disappearing from my "continue watching" section it's very annoying to have to search them up each time.

Alexa isn't very well linked with prime video. it never remembers where I finished watching series and restarts previous episodes from the beginning
Bad sound mix and out-of-sync dubbing
The audio is unbalanced: gunshots are deafening while dialogue is a whisper at the same volume. Lips don't match the dub, and dubbing tracks from neighboring episodes get mixed up.
This app does not know how to regulate sound. Worst auditory experience of my life. I change sound options on the TV but it still happens. Gun shots are deafening while someone talking sounds like a whisper at the same volume setting.

Downloaded videos won't play offline
Downloads break: background downloading doesn't stop when paused and re-downloads what you already have, a download_persistence error appears, and offline clips demand internet or simply won't open.
download_persistence_not_readable error. this happened once before and it took a few days to work again. it happened again. still not working. can't stream on wifi. can't watch downloaded videos. can't switch profiles. the app isn't working.
Even if you pause a download, the background download doesn't stop, which makes your phone slow. The worst part is that it starts downloading items in the background that you've already downloaded.
downloaded video required 5g speed to load.
