One of the best email providers in terms of it's security and privacy. The app also is very polished and the experience keeps improving.
I have had a great time using proton, I use almost their entire family of apps and essentially removed Google from my day to day use

Proton Mail Plus is very good for an email system for yourself. For about AU$77 pa. you get 15Gb Cloud storage which is ample, use of the free versions of their passport manager, VPN, calendar, Docs, Sheets.
Been using Proton for a few months now, after 20+ years of Gmail. So far I haven't lacked anything, as their suite of apps covers my needs.

Капча и "connectivity issues" при регистрации

Tried making a new account but won't let me passed the catcha puzzle. keeps saying connectivity issues.
Became unusable before I was even able to make an account. I tried doing the capcha, "something went wrong", did it again, same thing. Used the email verification instead, "something went wrong", did it again, same issue.

Lost my device and couldn't locate the password I used for the account so I did a password reset. now my old emails are encrypted and because the recovery methods are "use a prior device or remember your old password or upload a recovery key/file" i now cannot access my old emails

I love it! for some reason I am not getting notifications and have tried everything but for me to see new emails I have to open the app
Notifications don't work properly. I have to constantly open the app in order to see them, not really comfortable
In March 2026, the app stopped displaying new mail push notifications on Android 11. It's like it goes to sleep now, when not used.

After much more than a decade it's still not possible to search your mail in the app (only in the web app after downloading for hours or even days)!
good app, will be a great app at some point. searching in content and title is still a major point to improve. not interested in scrolling down 12k of mails to find what i'm looking for
A search option that includes all your files (on mobile) would be nice.
