Sleep sounds and sleep content are what people genuinely love
Despite all the negativity, fans praise the actual sleep help: soothing sounds, meditations, stories and music genuinely help them fall asleep faster and rest more calmly. For many it's a favorite app they've kept for years.
I use it every night, it helps me to fall asleep fast and stay asleep.

The "7-day free trial" charges you immediately
The single most common complaint: people start the trial and get billed the same day or within 24 hours, sometimes tens of dollars. The charges land without clear consent, and cancelling the trial doesn't stop them.
tried to do free trial but it charged me 32 dollars for the year anyways
barely 24 hours later I was charged, $63.99
7 day free trial that costs 20.99????? its a con.
Sleep tracking is systematically wrong: "didn't sleep" after a full night
The app routinely reports zero or a couple of hours of sleep after a full night — or the reverse, logging "deep sleep" while the phone was in a car or the owner was at work. The numbers can't be trusted.
I slept 10 hours last night but it says I didn't sleep any
I left my phone in my car for a night and apparently it had 4hours deep sleep

Sound recordings confuse snoring, footsteps and a fan — the labels are meaningless
The headline feature — telling you what you do in your sleep — fails. A fan or white noise gets read as snoring or talking, footsteps as speech, and vice versa. The "snore / talk / steps / animal" labels are basically random.
it can't tell the difference of a bed creaking from footsteps, flatulence, snoring, talking, or teeth grinding
It has a hard time telling various noises apart. Most of my recordings are just random white noise from a fan

They keep charging months after you cancel and uninstall
People cancel the subscription, delete the app, and still find charges months — or even a year and a half — later. Cancellation "takes effect" next year while the money leaves now.
If you cancel, they WILL still charge you $32 a year and a half after you canceled
I deleted it months ago and today I receive a charge!
I deleted this app back in mar 2025 cause I found it too expensive. today mar 9 2026 you took over $40.00 out of my account
Refunds refused and support unreachable
When someone asks for a refund, they get bounced between Google and the developer, with no real person or working email — just a bot or a "full" inbox. Refunds are nearly impossible to get.
The app store keep referring me back to the app makers, who say go to the app store. Seems to be no way to get my money back
they charged me $9.99 immediately and I cancelled it almost immediately

Everything paywalled: you can't even hear your own recording without subscribing
The app records you all night, then asks you to pay to hear it back. Without a subscription you can't preview a single sound sample or see meaningful stats. People feel trapped: the data exists, but behind a paywall.

Recordings vanish and the app crashes overnight
Even for paying users, the app stops recording after a while: it greets you each morning with a "shut down unexpectedly" error, sessions disappear, and a night's data is lost. Sometimes it crashes ten times in a row on launch.

it keeps crashing in the background and when im trying to activate at night, it crashes multiple times
Advertised as "free" — actually a mandatory paid subscription
Ads and the listing promise a free app, but after install it turns out it does almost nothing without a yearly subscription. Many feel it belongs in the paid section, not under "free".
in promotion it says it is free. after downloading u get to know you need to pay for this.
Misleading... Advertised as free. No. IT IS NOT.
Dishonest. Should be under paid apps. The service is a paid subscription.
A long questionnaire and pushy paywalls before they ever name a price
Before you can start, you're forced through a long questionnaire and then hit with a subscription screen — money mentioned last. Some describe a "spin-to-win" wheel with a fake jackpot discount and a fake playback sound as tricks to push the sale.
the first thing it does is trying hard to look so serious via long questionare then, shove you a payment sign up
they show a fake wheel that lands on a jack pot to pretend you are getting a special discount
Makes you jump through hoops and then hits you with a subscription notice. START WITH THAT!!!!
Pricey: the subscription feels overpriced for what it delivers
Even setting aside the deception claims, many find the price unjustified — especially given the faulty data. They compare it to Netflix, to free Samsung watch features, and find cheaper, more accurate alternatives.
This app is over priced for it's results.
I don't do subscriptions, especially if they cost more than Netflix!
