The standout reason users love it: a deep blue-purple, witchy, celestial look instead of the tired bright pink. Moon-phase ties, hormone graphs, and a genuinely pretty interface make it an app people actually want to open.

A signature delight: daily push notes written with humor and slang about your cycle phase. Users laugh at them, look forward to them, and compare the app to a big sister or friend who reassures them on a rough day.

Many are won over by gender-neutral language, trans inclusivity, and the fact that it's built and run by women — it reads as genuine care. But some users bristle at "menstruating people" instead of "woman."

The single most common complaint: after an update or a new phone, the app spins the Stardust logo forever and never lets users reach their data. Reinstalling, restarting, and clearing cache don't help — Android and Samsung users hit it hardest.

A fresh, widespread bug: trying to mark a period that started today triggers "We do not allow logging into future." Users sarcastically point out that today isn't the future, and the tracker's core function breaks.

Logging frequently misfires: entered symptoms land on the previous day, jumble across the calendar, or simply don't save. It guts the very feature people installed the app for.

The app adds random period days, stretches cycles into weeks, and refuses to let users remove them. The inability to correct dates makes the tracker unreliable — and risky for anyone tracking fertility.

A paradox: for regular cycles, predictions are praised as accurate, but with PCOS, endometriosis, or a long cycle the app clings to 28 days, claims a two-week "period," and won't let you adjust the length. For the people who need a tracker precisely because they're irregular, it's useless.

Sharing a cycle with a partner or friends is exactly why many install it (couples and lesbians especially). But adding a partner has failed for years: requests don't go through, cycles don't sync, and you have to email support just to make the feature work.

A serious trust blow: users cite a class-action lawsuit in the making over selling supposedly encrypted data to third parties, forced Google sign-in despite privacy claims, and the app "snitching" to a partner whenever you check.

A mixed feeling: many praise that you can track your cycle ad-free without a subscription and the app doesn't nag for upgrades. But others resent that symptom definitions, stats, and the "encyclopedia" sit behind a paywall — women's health, they argue, should be free.

After a few months the app turns slow and unstable: blank screen on open, icons that take ages to load, and in the worst cases a full phone reboot (Samsung Galaxy especially). The Android build is noticeably worse than iOS.

An especially painful failure: the app logs users out on its own, signs into a new empty account under a different email, or deletes data on reinstall — and years of cycle history vanish. It stings further that letting a subscription lapse wipes everything too.
