What users love

A lifeline for disabled and elderly shoppers

The warmest praise: door delivery for people recovering from surgery, with disabilities, without a car, or in nursing homes — literally what spares them an exhausting trip to the store.

For someone who is disabled, this is FABULOUS!

I have ordered from Walmart delivery weekly for the last two years since knee surgery they deliver to my door.

I don't drive anymore so home delivery is a senior citizens best friend.

When it works — convenient, cheap, and faster than Amazon

The core strength: easy ordering, free and often same-day delivery, competitive prices and a broad selection — many say outright they're switching from Amazon to Walmart.

huge selection , great prices and free shipping with membership!

fast easier. Item was less expensive than Amazon.

Easy ordering. Free same day delivery for some items!

Weak spots

What users hate

The app freezes and crashes right at checkout

The single most common complaint: the app locks up, closes itself and drops connection exactly at checkout, forcing a fresh start and often losing the reserved delivery slot.

keeps crashing while trying to check out, then warns time is almost up to reserve! try again, round and round!!!

This App continually freezes up, especially when trying to check out before the deadline hits for your reservation time. 3 times I've had to reschedule because the stupid thing locks up and I have to start over.

crashes constantly... I can't complete an order without it crashing three or four times.

The card gets declined right at the final payment step

A full cart and chosen slot get killed by a "card not accepted" message — even though the bank confirms the problem isn't on their end; switching and saving cards also keep failing.

We fill our cart, set up pick up or delivery, select our time then try to check out only to be told that the card we are using isn't accepted. We have dealt with our card issuer and it is NOT an issue with them.

entering bank card info was not savings and kept re-entering server times 😑

card ALWAYS has a problem no matter what

You pay for Walmart+ and still get hit with a fee for orders under $35

Subscribers are furious that after paying for the membership they're still charged $6.99 on orders under $35 — and the fee only appears after the order is submitted, which feels like a bait-and-switch.

so i pay for the subscription to use the app. pay to have delivery. and then bc my order was under 35 dollars yall wanna charge me 8 bucks? greedy mfs

it included a Father's Day gift and I am appalled at Walmart's deceptive behavior. I used to work there

even as a walmart+ customer if I want any small thing it'll be a $6.99 delivery charge unless I order over $35 worth of stuff. no longer worth being a walmart+ customer.

They removed the shipping option — now everything is delivery only

An update removed the ship and in-store pickup options: even items that can only be shipped get labeled as delivery, and the app itself can't tell what's actually available in the store.

walmart removed the shipping option. all online purchases are delivery now.

where did the shipping button in the app go? you only get pickup or delivery even if an item can only he shipped it still says delivery. fix it asap please.

they removed the shipping option. everything has to be delivery now.

The app no longer shows where an item is located in the store

It used to show the aisle and in-store availability; now the app hides that, pushes delivery, and even when you search "in store now" won't let you buy without shipping.

The app no longer tells me the location for the items in my selected store. It only gives me the chance to either buy them for delivery or pickup.

Even when the search specifies "In Store Now" the majority of items cannot be purchased without delivery or shipping.

if i say in store that means in store I do not want to order it but this app cannot fathom that.

Relentless Walmart+ upsells and a flood of in-app ads

Shoppers are worn down by the membership pitch nearly every time they open the app and dozens of pop-ups at checkout, plus in-app ads that get in the way of simply placing an order.

Accosted with an offer for Walmart+ nearly every time I open the app. I've had it before. I didn't use it. I don't want it. I've declined it dozens of times. Just let me use the app please and thank you.

The checkout experience asks you for joining Walmart+, various offers and money, cards and donations at least 10 times. It's very harrowing. I don't like it.

Too much interruptions from pop up ads on the app. Soooooo frustrating 😡

Money is taken instantly, but refunds drag on and you have to fight for them

Cancellations and order errors turn into 7–10-day-plus holds; getting money back means disputing with the bank or chasing it yourself, especially painful for baby formula and prescription orders.

I do not get refunded when the app makes a mistake, I have to dispute my bank.

They canceled my order for baby formula and won't refund the money. Can't feed my baby until they do.

had my order canceled and it was for over 500$ then had my money held on a temporary hold for over 7 days.

Deliveries arrive wrong, incomplete, late, or at the wrong address entirely

Late windows, missing items with no price adjustment, other people's orders, and drop-offs at the wrong address — drivers swap items without approval and don't notify when an order is delivered.

Often delivers the wrong items. I have even received the entire order that belongs to someone else and didn't receive mine

I ordered a microwave and received a plastic organizer bin...not worth the hassle until they fix who does deliveries

I never get All the items I ordered, and the total isn't adjusted. Screenshot your order.

EBT and gift cards work intermittently and break the order

The EBT balance check was removed, EBT won't cover eligible items and demands cash on top, and redeeming gift cards reliably rejects the order.

you took away the option to check EBT balance, This is not acceptable.

Won't let me just use my EBT. Always expects me to use cash in order to use my EBT. I have EBT because I DON'T HAVE CASH!! Do better.

Every time you go to redeem a gift card, it rejects the order. very piss poor system.

Privacy concerns: data handed to third parties without consent

Users accuse the app of harvesting data while ignoring privacy requests, complain about a foisted OnePay wallet handed their cards and contacts, and a 45-day data-deletion wait.

Its a data harvesting app, that ignores privacy request.

Turns out Walmart gave my phone number, email address, 2 debit cards and 2 credit cards to an outside company.

Why can anyone access my account information?
