The new «WhatsApp: name» notification format irritates and hides the sender
After the update, notifications now read «WhatsApp: sender name» — the extra logo and word push out what matters, and it's harder to see at a glance who messaged.

Aggressive voice-message compression strips out audio detail, and users explicitly ask for the same «HD» toggle already given to photos and videos.

After an update the connection keeps dropping — no calls and no «last seen»; toggling Wi-Fi no longer helps and only a phone reboot does.
again constsntly loose network connection. Can't make calls and can't see the "last seen"

this app is not easy to update
Getting logged out on its own and losing access to files
Users get suddenly logged out without doing anything, and after logging back in files won't download or the backup only restores to an old date — losing important photos.
I was automatically logged out of WhatsApp. I had to log in again, and all files cannot be downloaded
message "you have logged out of whatsapp" appears which was never done

On smartwatches the sync fails with «something went wrong» and a prompt to update, yet no update exists in the store — leaving a freshly bought watch useless.

Saying I need to update in the app but no update available. I just wasted money on buying this watch
The chats, channels and Status UI is long overdue for cleanup
Archived chats stay pinned on top, channels have no tab of their own, groups aren't separated from normal chats, and Status has emojis you tap by accident — small things that pile into frustration.
Why cant it have groups separate from normal chats? Why do archived chats stay on top?

Built-in UPI/payments exist but are raw and nearly useless
The payments module basically only does mobile recharge: no paying by UPI ID, no balance check, no utility bills — users feel Meta failed to build even a simple payment app.
There is no option to pay directly using a UPI ID, check bank balance, or pay utility bills
Currently, only mobile recharge is available
