Looses data. Avoid if you want to actually keep your data. I’ve been using this app for years to come back and find all my old data is gone. At some point app decided to keep only 3 years worth of data. Junk
- ★★★★★support does not respond or resolve the issue
Not good not happy with it everyday it reset. I put my vehicle miles and info. Also my own personal picture car. Then 2 days later everything is gone. I have to re do all again, put my tags my registration, insurance, even my reminders for service do , my tires information and how many miles on them , my fuel info to keep the track and how many miles , and next day every the it tuck me like 30 or 40 minutes to set is gone. And all that fuel trip examples the is all ready in the app is annoying. We want to keep track of our vehicle not the ones all ready there. This is really frustrating app DO NOT BUY. not recommended at all. I all ready contacted the developer and give me instructions how what I all ready did. And I told him that and never responded back. I’m tired on having to keep putting the info all the time. I still haven’t had the chance to calculate then miles trip on each fuel tank. Because it keeps erasing. And it was the main point why I bought it for. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
- ★★★★★a needed feature is missing
The iPad version should be FREE. The iPad version, Road Trip HD, should be FREE! When you buy this $7 app. $5 more for the iPad version???? For the app itself, I've only logged 2 full fill ups but I like how much data entry and analysis there is. I have something very similar on a massive excel spreadsheet for the life my trucks. Having a mobile version makes it a lot more convenient than waiting to get home to enter data. I wish it was backwards compatible with my current excel spreadsheet.

Horrible. It claims to have reminders of services but you can only add expenses not services. Severely disappointed! What a scam app.

Was great. It has not synced between two iPhone 16 pros since the phones were purchased in November 2024. I have tried syncing to both iCloud and Dropbox and the phones will sync to the cloud but not with each other. Fix this and it is all good.

v17.2 time/date entry interface is clunky. Suggestions: 1.) Now button should be above calendar, at top-right because it is commonly used. 2.) Time | Date toggle button should be removed. 3.) In place of Time | Date toggle button, bring back the Rolodex style time entry interface. Very clunky to have to tap the time field to access it when user could previously interface with it on the front-most layer.
- ★★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data
Back to a Spreadsheet. For fuel entries, the app allows you to enter odometer -OR- trip meter mileage. Because of this, you either get incorrect mpg (by using odometer) or incorrect total vehicle mileage (by using trip meter). The mileage feature really only works if you buy a car with 0 miles on it and never miss a fill-up. I couldn’t find a remedy to this in the help file, which consists of FAQs. Update: The developer’s response seems to confirm this either - or option. As I mentioned, unless you never miss logging a fill up, your mpg will be incorrect if based on odometer mileage, or your odometer mileage will be incorrect based on trip meter mileage.

Last update made it harder to use. I would have given this app 5 stars until the last update made it a pain to use. Previous versions allowed user to enter current mileage and the app computed the miles driven. The latest version requires user to keep track of the mileage. I might as well just go back to Excel.

Good but…. I have a motorcycle and, although there is an option that suppose to track front and back tires, it is not working… I can’t insert the rear tires details… making that option completely useless. Besides that, I have been using the app since 2011 and I love it! But only fully working if you have a car… Please fix that issue for motorcycles! So I can give this app a 5stars again!

updates kill family sharing. i really like this app, but it seems as if it kills family sharing when it goes through an update. it kills my wife’s app and trashes her road trip history. really aggravating behavior. when i select family sharing again on the app icon & forward to her iphone, it won’t let her download unless she pays for it - not the way family sharing is supposed to work

Layout is good. Data is off.. The app is good if you want something simple to look at. The data displayed is off. Says you did less miles per day than you actually did. The cost per day is off. Adding the equivalent of at or above a month more to create total.

Glitch or just me?. I'm not entirely sure if it's just me, but I can't quite figure out why when I enter some Service done to my car, it considers it a daily expense. According to the app, I'm spending $700 per day based on a few things I've done to my car. Changing the category doesn't do anything. I'd like to use the app more but not if it's going to provide inaccurate data. This app also never gets updated, would be nice to see some new features.

Doesn't appear to import csv files. Looked all over for an option for importing a csv time.

Chazz. Worked great up to a week ago, but something happened recently, all gas data for this past year was lost, checked Dropbox to no avail, what went wrong? Gas fill data for most current fill up still shows.

LOVE this app!. April 2025: sent this to Developer’s support email but it bounces back with a 5.7.1 error. Posting here in hopes they can read and address: I recently switched from ICE to an EV and it’s been really confusing for me. Your app brilliantly supports the basics of EV but I have some blind spots that might be addressed better in the app. ICE isn’t easily translating for me into EV thinking I’ll try doing some bullet points: 1) I can adjust my “tank” in an EV for various capacities. It’s best to not “fill” it to 100% ever because the battery needs space for regeneration, along with other reasons. EVs shine for local usage, and typically a “full” tank is really 80%. BUT if you are doing a longer trip and want to avoid range anxiety, you want to charge it up higher. I’ve set mine to 95% charge occasionally. Bottom line- for an EV I believe this “full/not full” setting isn’t helpful. I think it should instead be a percentage- and perhaps even incorporating details about the specific vehicle so it knows battery size and charging rates. Also might be useful to capture (optionally) the time required to fill it up. That data would really help hone in on managing the vehicle. 2) the KWH and miles per KW and all that can get really confusing, I even tried having an engineer friend of mine try and explain it simply and he was getting tripped up. Since I’m older and MPG is pretty well drilled in, the closer that KW per mile can be translated to my brain via the interface I’d be really pleased. 3) As Range Anxiety is common, perhaps a simple “breakout” for envisioning the current distance possibilities would be doable. 4) Since EVs are so sensitive to elevation changes and speed, that information could find a way to be captured and/or documented beforehand in estimating range for trip planning. Many people repeat commutes and trips, so having a way to capture repeat routines and then using that to get “real world” car performance in that car with that driver would be neat. 5) In fact, maybe adding an optional field where appropriate for what driver used it on that trip could provide some other data points of value. ——————————— (Former review): I was using another app for a while until it stopped being supported. Found this app as a replacement and it has nearly every option I wanted. It’s beautifully crafted, fairly intuitive, has a bunch of graphs, reminders, and features that are well worth the investment. I stay on top of my MPG and have access to historical work so I can save time with my mechanic. It allows multiple cars, syncs automatically to iCloud, and the tabs get me to where I need to go quickly. No “subscription” nonsense and the app is kept up to date. There are a few areas where I’d like to see the developer bump up the GUI and perhaps also add some explanation and/or help screens. But the core of this program is solid and it’s one of the few apps I would install if I only had a 4GB iphone. It’s a keeper.

It’s changed. I have used this app for several years. It’s been good to go back and check things…. However tonight I went to check on mileage a year ago only to find out all my gas fill ups etc, now only starts in May 2024. I don’t know when this changed, but I’m disappointed. Other than that, it has been a good app.

Great app but…please let us add photos!. You cannot attach receipts to any purchase of parts or services. I recommended this 6 years ago and was told he hoped to add that feature in the future. It’s still not here. This would make it easier to have proof when doing gas credits for taxes or selling a vehicle.

Ugh! Date Wheels!. Why o why did those damnable date wheels come back!!!??? Those are one of the single most ridiculous UI elements Apple ever created. They should banished to the scrap pile of bad ideas. This is otherwise a 5 star app.
- ★★★★★clear and easy workflow
Great, easy to use app!. Only thing I want to see is the ability to scan and save a copy of my maintenance records with the maintenance details.

Great App, Needs iPad version. I love this app. It is so incredibly useful. I only wish there was an iPad version to make reports easier to read and allow for service/expense management via a larger interface. iPad version = 5th Star!!

Photos would be a plus.. Great app. Overall everything I need and certainly the best I’ve seen to date. Only thing missing for me would be the ability to take photos of paper receipts and store them with the record. Also photos of the repair itself if appropriate. The option would be great to have.
- ★★★★★stable and reliable performance
Works great but not data export. It is great app for keeping track of things, but it has no export function, or at least to get report on Business vs Personal travel. Otherwise great.

Really nice, but.... I really like it, but the only thing missing is being able to track expenses and attach receipts for the warranty. Please add document attachments to expenses with the camera.

Very Nice. I've been using this app for three years. I am very pleased and highly recommend it. The only reason why I did not give it five stars is that I wish it would link to iCloud instead of only dropbox, but does just fine with dropbox. Other than that it has been fantastic and works very well with non-techie types like my wife. But once it's set up it works great. Also, I use it on four different cars. Hope you have the same experience.

Great App! Could use a couple more features.... I think this is a great app! It's definitely spendy, but I'm glad I got it! Would love to have a couple features added: -backup to iCloud -take a picture of receipts and have them uploaded with expenses. If those are added I would update to 5 star.

Nice upgrade from Gas Cubby. The import utility alone on Darren's website is amazing and convinced me to try the app for the seemingly hefty fee of $6.99. It's a robust app with great documentation, and an awesome import utility which makes it worth trying. Import went smoothly although I'm still playing with how I want to have some data treated. Location field is great and the map function is a nice bonus that I'll spend time to find the right blend of use for tax purposes. I didn't give it a full 5 as it does lack support for iCloud or OneDrive - it made me get yet another cloud account with Dropbox.

3D touch please. Love the app. Anything I'd want to know MPG / Car related in this app. BUT. Please make an option to do a 3D touch on the app icon for a new entry. Would be nice for quick fill-ups.

Still a great app. Love this app.

Great App!!!. Absolutely the best for tracking mileage and service intervals! However since upgrading to iOS 9 the custom date function will not calculate stats. Hope a future update will address this.
