   Battery Percentage??. The one feature I need is the actual battery percentage. I’d like to know if I have 18% or 2% left. Bars are inadequate. I’m highly disappointed as this is a safety issue

   App crashes and loses long rides ep801. It has happened three times already during long rides, the app will crash when you switch off the display or switch to a different app. When you look at the etube ride app again it restarts and gives a message that the ride was corrupted and therefore deleted...completely unacceptable it should not crash and if it does it should restart the cached ride. Also, it needs to integrate to other services especially now that strava is shutting down their API access you need the ability to send to training peaks and other apps as well.

   Will not connect. Supposedly and according to Shimano Service Trch, this spp works with the SC-EN610 Shimano cycling computer but the searching wheel goes round and round but never connects using my iPhone 14.

   2 Stars because you can’t import a route from gpx. This app would absolutely be perfect if you could only import a GPX route. Otherwise, it is pretty much would be the perfect bike computer app with all of its sensor integrations, and DI2 integration for controlling the screen. Unfortunately, the lack of being able to import a route pretty much indicates an eval, those other perfect items have. If you can’t get anywhere, what’s the point?

   Cannot finish a ride without the app crashing. App crashes and corrupts my ride file every time I ride. This means I can’t post my ride to Strava. I ride a 2019 Pivot Shuttle V1. My last e-bike was a specialized e-bike and the app was my favorite part of the bike. It allowed me to view my power data and seamlessly post rides to Strava. If this app doesn’t improve my next e-bike will not have a Shimano motor.

   Really?. $6000 bike. No documentation on how any of this works. All YouTube videos show older units I believe as mine only has one place to charge. Can’t tell if sensor is on or off. Bike documentation tells me to download an app that doesn’t exist. Not really surprised though. All of this computer garbage is getting worse and worse. None of it works no matter how much you pay. This is probably the worst implementation of “technology” I have ever seen. Bravo Giant Bicycles and Shimano!!!

   Major flaw with new update. The new update released today has a major IOS flaw. After opening the app, if you inadvertently touch and drag the screen even slightly, the app prematurely closes, not just minimized. Any properly written IOS app should only close if dragged from the bottom of screen and upward to the screen top. This flaw also makes it impossible to open other apps on the iPhone without risking prematurely closing the Shimano app. I enjoyed using the previous version of this app, but this new version is frustrating. Please fix the app asap to confirm with standard IOS swiping motions.

   Gave up trying to connect.. Simply would not connect to my EW-U111. I’m connected in Project E-Tube app, I can see the bike listed in E-Tube ride, but it just won’t connect no matter how many tries. Bad customer experience.

    Shimano struggle. Yeah I’m going through same problem connecting to E-Tube Ride. After many attempts made a connection with the E-Tube project app, pretty ridiculous! Clearly a Shimano’s software issue. Let’s hope they here enough of this and get one of the millions of geeks out there that could fix this in a flash!

    Shimano STEPS SC-E8000. Why does this app not support an E8000 motor and display?

    If this worked as advertised on Shimano’s website.... I can connect to e-tube project, and my iPhone will successfully pair with the ew-wu111, but the e-tube ride app Will not connect. The app needs an overhaul.

    It doesn’t work. This app will not connect to my Di2 system at all. I was excited upgrading to Di2 partially for the wireless functionality that it provides but so far ALL Shimano software has been horrible. I like electronic shifting but their software is absurdly complicated and doesn’t work!

    Can’t connect to E 8000. Wasn’t able to connect to E tube project easily but can connect to E tube ride. E tube project doesn’t register the bike signal at all. E tube project is extremely limited as far as adjustments for the motor goes. It would be nice to be able to really tune the motor ramp settings. Time for Shimano to up their game to compete for the next generation of mountain biking! Electric is changing the game. Also comparative to other electric assist, Shimano’s E 8000 kicks in and out of assist very harshly. Would be nice to smooth out the transition.

    Seriously Shimano???. Doesn’t connect to E8000 on my Scott Genius. Over $5k for a bike and they can’t even get a simple app to work. The E-tube app does work but even that is severely lacking compared to what Specialized has going on with their Mission Control for the Levo. Shimano needs to direct some of their limitless resources to giving these apps more functionality.

    Utter Garbage. This app will not recognize my WU-111 Bluetooth unit, despite the fact that it shows up just fine in the device list and works fine with the E-Tube Project app! Why does one Shimano app work and not the other -same wireless unit, same device?

    Connection issues. For me, this app E-Tube-ride does not connect with my Shimano Step motors E8000 on a Scott e-Genius. The Shimano app E-tube works well as expected.

    This has suddenly changed into Chinese from English🤷‍♀️. All the instructions are in Chinese. I have had this app for 3 years and there is no way to change it back to English. So deleting app and trying to reinstall

    Would be good, can’t change any fields. Trying to configure any field on any screen, pops up a spinner, choose a new field type … pressing “cancel” or “done” has no effect, spinner won’t go away, field type won’t change. No way of reporting problem. Very poor.

    Does not work with E8000. How can Shimano release an app that only supports some of its electric bicycle motors? This only works with E7000 motors and display.

    Barely works. Garbage. Cannot customise the data fields so using it to monitor an ebike is literally impossible as the correct data can't be displayed. Has been a known issue for 5+ years and nothing has been done to fix it.

    Unreliable. Did an 80km ride today. App crashed multiple times throughout and failed to recover logged data. Rebooted phone on the go, still same issue. Crash to folder view. Good job I tracked separately with my Apple Watch. App not recommended.

    Eats iPhone battery. Was having serious battery drain issues on iPhone 14 Pro. Tried everything to fix it including wiping the phone and then reinstating everything from a backup which fixed it until I next used this app on a bike ride. Deleted the app, rebooted the phone and battery drain problem fixed. Notice that updates to the app are not very frequent compared to other apps so suspect it is not optimised to keep up with periodic updates to iOS. Hope this review helps others trying to track down and stop battery drain problems.

    Not compatible with all displays. It would be fantastic if this actually communicated with all Bluetooth capable shimano display units (I.e. SC-E8000).

    Great Features, When they Work. Last three rides that I’ve tracked have either stopped logging entirely, logged some stats but incorrect distance and time (I burned 1100 kCals in 1.96 miles at a 192W average 🤣). Peloton app tracked 26 miles. Glitchy and needs and update asap, otherwise I’ll reluctantly go back to using the Strava app directly.
