  1. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

App doesn’t work. I loved this when it worked but for months the schedule hasn’t turned on or off correctly, breaks don’t reblock after, and not all modes work manually. I have emailed and filled out the form okie n

  2. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Very misleading. First issue: 1. It’s a paid subscription. I bought this thinking it was a one-time purchase, but it’s not; it’s $50 a year. 2. It doesn’t work on two devices at least that I’ve found. I bought this on my iPhone to help me with a shopping addiction and ordering out too much. I tried downloading it onto my iPad and signing in, but I got a message stating 'NFC not available on this device.' I looked up solutions, but none of them worked. So, this app is pretty much useless to me now, and I’m out $50.

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

I’m confused. I’m trying to set up this card blokd right now and its buttons aren’t working. I find it funny it’s giving me the option to review before I even do anything yet.

  4. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Card never arrived. So I ordered my card along with the subscription for $42, and it took an entire week to arrive and was delayed, so basically it arrived late. Matter fact, it never arrived at all, it was sent to the wrong address, so I contacted the owner about it to see for a replacement. Found out replacement wasn’t an option and had to buy another one for $50. Since money is tight, ask the owner if I can use the app without the card, but the owner stated the subscription doesn’t work without the card. Money wasted :( Also I tried navigating around the app for a while, but it’s very complicated and full of paywalls.

  5. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Paywall trap. I am trapped in a paywall loop and can’t exit it. Every time I click the X, it just shows another popup. I x out of that and it takes me back to the other paywall.

  6. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

i’m confused. the only reason this is a 1 star is because i have a question. is this app free like i see a bunch of different comments about people getting it free but then i dont so like idk what’s going on but im a kid so i can’t pay the money. please respond Blokd devs!

  7. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Bad changes. No more magnet bloks. New subscription service. Have to have a different blok for each phone. It’s hundreds of dollars for a family of four. It was great but now it’s lost the plot.

  8. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Useless. Apps that are supposed to be allowed get blocked and vice versa. This glitch essentially renders the entire product useless

  9. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Very Buggy App. This app is very Buggy, it blocked my instagram and made it so I couldn’t access it even after I unblocked it. Would not recommend.

  10. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Waste of money, waste of time. First, I ordered the product in May. It took two month to get. Then when the product arrived it doesn’t work. Waste of money and time.

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Worked great for a few days…. Bought the product really excited to use it. It worked great for the first few days, but then both the card and the magnet could no longer be read by my phone. The only way for me to use the app is to manually set a timer in the app. Fast forward to today where the manual timer had ran out, the Blok app is showing up as not on, but I can no longer open any of the apps I blocked. It’s annoying because the team didn’t respond to my initial support email over a few weeks ago. I also see that I can’t even delete the app from my phone .

  12. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

evil evil device. in theory it’s a great product but the scanning feature is terrible.

  13. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Does not unlock. The circle block thing will not unlock my phone no matter how many times I try. This is stupid.

  14. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Broken Blok. The cheap Pog that is used to unblock your phone is very hard to use. And does not work as advertised. Basically only works in one orientation and cannot be mounted anywhere. I reached out to the owner and he said yeah we have heard this problem “sorry”. No solution just deal with it. So if you don’t want to be frustrated while trying to get to your blocked apps, might want to try another solution.

  15. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

TRASH. Total Trash. It links to you apple screen time settings. You can can turn it on and off whenever you want just by “not allowing” it to connect to screen time. Complete TRASH!

  16. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Rude customer service, interface could be better as well.. decent premise of the product, definitely difficult at first to get used to but rewarding once you do my only thing is the rude customer service, which is a huge dealbreaker for me, good product or not. id stick to the product otherwise, but this turned me off from them entirely.

  17. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Buggy, Unfinished, and Degraded Features. I like blok. I genuinely do. However there are multiple things that really keep the product from competing with other similar items. The first one being: stop releasing or updating features before it’s guaranteed to work! The most egregious ones being reliable blocking and unblocking of apps as scheduled. That’s the bare minimum for the service, so why is it not working as expected? Why does blocking on a schedule not necessarily block the apps and why does the end of the time frame not always unblock the apps? Second example: why did the new update firstly break the timer feature? The old version made so much more sense interface wise, and more importantly, it works. If we as intelligent users cannot figure it out (given that an app update tutorial was not provided upon update, which should’ve happened given how many changes occurred), then it should be intuitive to use. Why is not blocking after I click yes? Thirdly: the app developer either needs to hire more people or reduce the cost. This is not a well finished product that should be selling for as high as it is. It’s a pet project designed to compete with Brick at best (down to the name), but it’s clearly the inferior product, from design to development to support. You’re telling me we’re paying $50+ for this tiny plastic NFC chip in this flimsy case which doesn’t even work if it’s on a magnetic surface (despite it being magnetic in design, which shouldn’t be the case if it interferes with usage)? Altogether, would not really recommend until the developer gets it together.

  18. ★★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Broken. Schedule feature is programmed poorly. Never been able to use this app without something glitching

  19. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Complaint. So I did buy a subscription, but I accidentally used a non-accessible account. Sure it works but I can’t cancel the membership. I’ll just keep getting charged. They cant cancel it on their end it has to be through an account. Just something that has to be fixed. And their customer service, rude, they ignored my problem, told me to never email again, and told me to basically suck it up. Terrible

  20. ★★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Works kinda. The scheduling aspect of the app allows you to have something similar to screen time but its very buggy. Often the apps aren’t blocked during the time allocated. But the focus notification is still sent. Also if you were to open the app for any reason it blocks your apps, inside and outside of the specified time window. Please fix this if you want to keep the feature

  21. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

PAYWALL. there’s a annoying pay wall and you need to buy a card

  22. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

The Blok scanner doesn’t always detect. Love the concept, but frustrating when the Blok scanner isn’t detected when phone / Blok are contacted as specifically instructed. Wish I could rate it higher, but its only jobs are to keep you off apps (success! 5/5) and scan (occasionally unsuccessful, 3/5)

  23. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

They told me to. Haven’t activated yet. I purchased the card with the year membership but it’s saying I need to pay again. What gives?

  24. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Device does not work. The device they send you won’t scan while it’s magnetically mounted. You have to hold it in your hand. Wrote to the company and got a reasonably fast response with an acceptable resolution.

  25. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

it seems good. the app is good in theory but it is not free and therefore i cant use it. the only way to use this is to pay over $50, and most people dont have that kind of money to be spending especially on an app. otherwise the concept seems great and i wouldve loved to try it but since theres no free version i had to delete it.

  26. ★★★★clear and easy workflow

Works; Beware there is a hidden paywall. I like how this app is cheaper for what you get than the leading competitor, and it was what convinced me to get it. Keep in mind that the website advertises this app as a “subscription free” service but thats not 100% accurate. Upon initial download, it actually charged $10/m or $60 a yr to allow all apps to be blocked but allowed for exceptions, whereas the free version required you to manually select which apps to block, with a max of 50. It seems that they have recently adjusted that number according to their changelog. I think for transparency, you (the customer) should be aware that this payment gate exists somewhere in the app. I don’t know if the leading competitor also has a hidden paywall because they too advertise no subscription fees. Other than that hiccup, this app is incredible and works perfectly with a clean and easy to use UI. The Bloks themselves take a little finagling to register that I would expect will be easier to lock/unlock with practice.

  27. ★★★★★the app helps achieve the intended result

Never been happier. Blok has genuinely helped me be way more productive throughout the day. It cut down my doomscrolling a ton and made me more intentional with how I use my phone. Super simple idea, but it actually works.

  28. ★★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Life Changer. After struggling for years I've finally found a solution! The physical barrier is just a game changer - I leave the card at home and it just save me from this doom scrolling we all fall to! Highly recommend this product!

  29. ★★★★★the app helps achieve the intended result

Cured my addiction. This app has helped me tremendously lower my screen time and brain rot. Highly recommend

  30. ★★★★★the app helps achieve the intended result

Why Blokd is good for you. Blokd really helped me get locked in on what my goal is
