   Extremely Lame - Better Ones for Free. Saw it advertised on Facebook so I bought it on a whim. Turns out it's one of the few like this which make you buy the same thing for your iPad or your iPhone if you bought it once. Nothing different or particularly well done in presenting scales to you. It's done better in free programs. Save your money, try some of the other programs that don't cheat you for two versions of the same thing and which provide 'lite' versions or are outright free.

   New update does not operate. I recently updated star scales for iOS 8 and the application will open but then immediately redirect me to the home screen. The application is open, if I double click the home button and select star scales it will then, again, immediately redirect me to the home screen. Please fix this!

   Would be great if I could only use it!. HORRIBlE for beginners. Not easy to use at all. It doesn't make a bit of sense. A complete waste of money.

   Caution. Was checking battery performance and this app consumed 55% of my entire charge on its own from whatever it was doing in the background. A bit suspicious. I’d only used the app for a minute. Will be removing.

   Wrong positions. Good, almost... the scale positions are wrong. Scale pattern 1 is actually pattern 5, every pattern is off like that. why? If you want to reinvent things, whatever, at least give the settings option to label it conventionally.

    Crashing constantly. Ran for a day, now just crashes, starts for about one second then….? not impressed as had to pay for this one. am running on iPhone 5S with 64gb, IOS8.02 is there a fix for this on the way?

    Update ideas.... Not bad over all. However, it would be very helpful if the scale patterns could be organized with the notes in the order of the scale, and if the starting and ending notes corresponded with the scale, for example c major would be c d e f g a b c, instead of a jumbled group of notes. Could this possibly be corrected in a future update?

    Good app but with limited tuning settings. Overall, good and useful App. Unfortunately, it lacks of alternative tunings (e.g. p4).

    God Job.. A-MA-ZING found this app really useful although if your only a beginner will be very confusing but if u do your own research on scales itself and gain a foundation of knowledge you won't be disappointed.

    Bring back the previous interface - new one a disaster. This was one of my favourite guitar apps until the latest version 3.3. The new "flat interface" which loses the look of a guitar neck is a disaster. Dear developer, remember the old adage, if it aint broke. The new interfaces is counterintuitive to look at with transparent dot markers on the neck not clearly distinguishable from note markers. How do I get my old version back??? Note to self - turn off automatic updates :(

    Good App. I'm enjoying this app it has easy fingering and shows you your root notes in each scale!! Plus you've all the modes!! I wish I would've found this app when I first started learning guitar! Not everyone who says they can teach can and the same goes for guitarist who write books. Some people are in it for the love of how much money they can make off people! As for those who really love music and teaching guitar my hat goes off too you!!! Just so many dishonest individuals out there making learning guitar harder than it really is!! DOG(DEPEND ON GOD) not men!! Good day mate!!!

    Good App. The app is good & intuitive to use. When I had questions about the numbers (fingers) the developer was very quick to respond. The developer has also responded quickly to suggestions for improvement. The only improvement would be to have the help section be a little more comprehensive to explain the different screen notations.

    Does exactly what it claims.. I like this app for it's practical approach of separating the fretboard into easily memorizable patterns. This is essential for building muscle memory, speed,and confidence. Other, more traditional approaches map all the notes on the fretboard at once, which can be overwhelming. I would like to see chords/progressions that can be used with each scale, or the ability to enter chord/progressions and get a list of scales that work.

    Very easy to use and read. It's great that there is a scales app now that is actually very easy to read. Each pattern stands out on it's own and you just slide back and forward between the different patterns. I can see myself using this a lot. I also have the guitar toolkit but if it's scales you want to learn and practice, I think this app is pretty much the best.
