  1. ★★★★tab editing and full-band sound quality

Terrible instructions. Well, if you don’t understand the instructions, never fear,, there is a video to help you. You can play the video and watch someone showing off with the software at warp speed, explaining absolutely nothing. It sure looks cool though!

  2. ★★★★crashes and technical bugs

Double charged me. I was charged 7.99 on my phone and then 8.99 on my I pad. As far as use of the app it is fine but I wouldn’t have paid 16$ for it

  3. ★★★★crashes and technical bugs

Wont work. I know its made for the newer devices but i cant get this app to work for iphone 4. Please fix

  4. ★★★★crashes and technical bugs

Won't Open. The reviews looked good so I purchased it for my iPhone 6. It just doesn't open. The splash screen starts then closes immediately after. A waste of money and as apps go it isn't cheap.

  5. ★★★★★steep learning curve and complex ui

Fix the UI. The “unique interface” is way too complicated and unorganized. Near impossible to navigate, even after the tutorial. - refund requested

  6. ★★★★★crashes and technical bugs

Crashing Over and Over. It keeps crashing in iOS 14.6 then in iOS 14.7 when trying to decompress samples. The logs are now full of This apps crash reports….

  7. ★★★★★crashes and technical bugs

Hit or Miss. Kinda glitchy. Tells me portrait mode is locked when it’s not so I can’t use it. It’s pretty efficient for a mobile tab editor. The playback is worthless, though, the notes all play full sustain, so that the whole thing jumbles into each note together.

  8. ★★★★★steep learning curve and complex ui

How do you slide and bend?!?. If I spent a dollar in this app I at least want to know how to bend and slide it didn't show where that feature is or if they even have it

  9. ★★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Very irritating app. Good potential but usability needs major improvement. First it is lacking features such as hammer ons, pull offs, and bends. There is no way to format the tabs into multiple rows so you have a single line that scrolls infinitely to the right making it difficult to navigate. Every time you go into tab mode it does an annoying animation of a finger showing how to add a new bar. Yeah, I freaking get it! I know how to add a bar stop showing me an animation that covers the last thing I tabbed! The UI seems to have bugs and I've gotten into states where the string/fret shows that a note is played but it is out of sync with the tab. There are times when the sound just stops, this is especially true when trying to play sound through a Bluetooth speaker or AirPlay. Overall very unsatisfied with this app and disappointed because conceptually it is exactly what I was hoping to find.

  10. ★★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Tuning. Please add the ability to tune lower and the option to add more strings for composing for 7 and 8 string guitars like guitar pro does.

  11. ★★★★★crashes and technical bugs

Bad, but few options. The app is ideally awesome but there are a swarm of bugs.

  12. ★★★★★tab editing and full-band sound quality

    Cool. Pretty cool app.

  13. ★★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Great support for tunings. Thank you for this music writer for guitar tab that supports tunings. But I fail to see where it will change the entered notes when updating to a different tuning. What am I missing? Where is your support line? How are we to communicate? Mark

  14. ★★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

5/10 You get what you pay for.. Input is simple and quick which I appreciate. I have exclusively used the tab editing mode so far as that's all I need. Metalcore tone is not great but I'll live. EQ lets me at least make it listenable so that's cool. Missing some features such as rakes and harmonics. Also doesn't tune lower than drop A on 7 string. 8 string and lower isn't achievable within the app. There are also no triplets. Ouch. It's not enough to substitute for a guitar, but it's close enough when you don't have one at hand. For ten bucks it's not bad, especially when there are no better choices for iOS, but not great either. You add triplets, rakes and pinch harmonics, and you get five stars.

  15. ★★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Great UI. I love the UI and the graphics. However, I can’t seem to get it to play back hammers and slides... I found the menu to turn the slides on, but it didn’t seem to have any effect. Also there is no way to type in a hammer from one fret to another, only open to a fret. I realize this is similar to a slide, but it is not exactly the same sound. The app needs to have the ability to add a hammer from fret 2 to 4, for instance. Also, it would be nice if it had the title of the file in there somewhere.

  16. ★★★★★tab editing and full-band sound quality

Just a review to unlock features. Please don't take this review or rating for anything other than me trying to unlock an effects pack. It gives the option of paying $1.99 or writing a review so....

  17. ★★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Easy to use Except. I haven't figured out how to make tempo changes within a song. Once I do that it will be awesome but what's the point of have tab software if you can't actually tab out a song. Changes and all...

  18. ★★★★★tab editing and full-band sound quality

It's good. I'm doing this to unlock a certain item. ☺️

  19. ★★★★★steep learning curve and complex ui

Newbie. Not so user friendly for beginners.

  20. ★★★★★crashes and technical bugs

Please update for ios 8. Will update rating when it stops crashing on ios8

  21. ★★★★★composing on the go without a guitar

Pretty handy app!!. I work on music projects with teenagers with mixed musical abilities, this app has been a life saver for some of that work. Half the time the kids forget what they did the week before or what melodies they played, having their work tabbed out and having the ability to play what it sounds like really works to remind them.

  22. ★★★★tab editing and full-band sound quality

Kinda fun. Not sure how useful this is for my actual fretboard skills but it's a lotta fun to play with regardless.

  23. ★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Attention Creators, producer, hobbyist and composers. Are you bored, stuck, seeking inspiration or something new? Jam Maestro may be the app you have been looking for. I purchased this App while on sale and l’m pretty content with the interface. I didn’t have any expectations. Which stopped having hundreds of downloads ago. I appreciate the the developers who made this app user first focused. Thank you so appreciate you for a conveniently located guide on how to use. I don’t know how many apps I have that are not user first focused and users either abandon or spend a frustrating amount of time scrolling and watching videos to learn about another app that has great potential and offers a unique experience. Only to be a waste of every single persons involved time, MONEY due to the lack of information available their labor of love. It’s awesome that users take time to do their best to help users learn Jam Maestro. I’m sure you have watched a or lots of tutorial(s) video from someone who’s intentions albeit honorable but…not executed in a useful way. This unique app is not one of those. Upon opening Jam Maestro you will be greeted by a clean Interface as well as a tutorial that is always available. Regardless of your learning style with Jam Maestro’s in application user aids and great online resources. Will have you up in running in a few minutes. I have been playing instruments for most my life but if you have ever been interested learning to play guitar, bass guitar or drums. Jam Maestro can be a great choice to begin your real instrument journey. The same applies to learning to read and write sheet music. I would recommend Jam Maestro to beginners as well as those who have aficionado level of knowledge of music theory, digital musical apps and DAW’s. Thanks to the developers for their common sense approach to keep purchasers using their excellent app for years! I very rarely give 5 stars because A. Perfection is far more than just a idea. B. I feel like apps that have a higher number of 5 star reviews don’t get updated, get abandoned or interest fades. 5 years from now Jam Maestro may still be and a new user all bright eyed and filled a youthful exuberance. Will download and potentially feel some kind of way. Simply because there’s nothing more to Jam Maestro. Adding more instruments such as woodwinds, brass, precautions or a vocal input that corrects any voice. Including key, pitch and octave ranges . Possibly being the catalyst for the next generation of musical creativity. To denying those individuals and the countless others of the joy of music is a atrocity. You have created more than just a second source of income, personal ideal, a void etc. You have created a legacy. You are leaving a tool that has the potential to out live you by centuries. Billions of people will just be dust in the wind…

  24. ★★★★tab editing and full-band sound quality

This app. I this app help me write my first three songs it such a good app

  25. ★★★★steep learning curve and complex ui

:))). Complex app with a learning curve. But very useful once you’ve got the hang of it

  26. ★★★★composing on the go without a guitar

Great App!!. I’ve always wanted this type of app to let me jot down ideas and stuff. I’m a guitarist and being able to add drums and bass helps me get the right sound. Def recommend

  27. ★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Great app. App works perfectly, I just wish I could get some lower tunings for the 7 string guitar as my band usually works in drop G#.

  28. ★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Great app but missing a few things. I really like just needs extra things maybe like a piano, pinch harmonics, and fix the palm muting it sounds horrible

  29. ★★★★missing triplets, harmonics and extended tunings

Great app, 2 major things missing. The app is amazing but please add 8 string guitars and a way to write triplets into your pieces

  30. ★★★★steep learning curve and complex ui

Difficult at first, but great for intermediate users!. Jam Maestro has some complicated features, such as learning effects. The app, however gives variety for sounds and other tools inside the app. The app is alright for beginners, but I’d recommend using this app if you’ve got some experience.
