  1. ★★★★subscription instead of free

False advertising. If the app cannot be used as a free app it should state so instead of forcing the users to go through 6 clicks to cancel the suggestion of subscription each time they open the app.

  2. ★★★★crashes and glitches in the app itself

Infinite intro screen. Despite paying I keep getting infinite intro screen everytime I try to use the app

  3. ★★★★crashes and glitches in the app itself

Shuts down. I downloaded this app and when I try to use or request student discount it just shuts down

  4. ★★★★subscription instead of free

To much subscription advertisement.. Placement on Settings app is annoying.

  5. ★★★★subscription instead of free

RIP, another good app ruined by subscriptions. This was a great and simple app, good UI and free. Then it got updated and locked everything behind a paywall FOR A TIMER. Maybe for another person it’ll be worth it, but for me I’m afraid I’m out.

  6. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Subscription for a timer. You literally have to pay $40 a year to even use this app… and the whole idea of the app is just a slightly more intuitive timer… so $40/yr for a timer. I’m so tired of every single app having a subscription system when it is 100% not needed. Just more greed

  7. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Menbimar. I don't know how I subscribe for yearly. Okay let me say it's my fault. As soon as I realize that and it doesn’t work for me, I tried to canceled it. But there was no way to contact you guys. So, you rub my $45. 😔

  8. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Total sham. Unless I’m an idiot user (it’s just a timer really) I couldn’t even start a session without subscribing. So how is this a free app exactly?

  9. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Unusable. I’ve been using this app for years with the basic timer functions. Now it’s completely unusable unless you pay for the subscription. Ridiculous - deleting the app and finding something else

  10. ★★★★issues with the apple watch app

new apple watch app is slow. loved the app for simplicity but the new watch app creates extra lag time when i just need to quickly start and stop cycles

  11. ★★★★crashes and glitches in the app itself

Unreliable bad data. Logging over midnight seems to generate bad data.

  12. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Basic version now requires subscription. I understand developers should make money, and I would be happy to pay a one-time fee for the basic features that used to be completely free. But I’m not going to be paying an ongoing subscription for the basic pomodoro timer feature that I need and a bunch of features that I would never use.

  13. ★★★★subscription instead of free

$20 a year is way overpriced for this subscription.. Let me know when it costs $5 for a lifetime. It’s not worth more than that.

  14. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Monthly Fee. Costs a monthly fee to use the app. No free version offered.. I’ll just set my own timer at save $4/month. Weird..

  15. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Free version not work. In free version only i can see the tabs Ok we want to buy, but I need first test

  16. ★★★★subscription instead of free

The price is to high. Please reconsider the price

  17. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Why my iPhone doesn’t have membership after payment on Mac. This is expensive and I buy it because how it links to my omnifocus. But after payment in Mac, why can’t I just restore my payment on iPhone, I have emailed them. Other than that, the app is good

  18. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Asks for money immediately after first startup. I’m always leery of apps that offer in-app purchases. I appreciate that software developers need to be paid - I am one, and I follow a business model that allows free trials and licenses. But it’s a big red flag for me when my first experience with an app is a popup screen shilling for subscriptions. This one lists features I would consider basic- the kind I downloaded it fo -asking for $39.99/year to give me just a few additional features I don’t already have from other free and paid apps. Always look at old reviews: they may be irrelevant to you, they may be outdated, but you can learn a lot from reading the complaints and responses. Looking at the promoted reviews, you may see what I saw, that the developer deflects criticisms and offers weak answers to issues. Example: when told that Dark Mode should be a built-in feature, not an in-app purchase, the developer directed the user to iOS built-in dark mode. As if a photosensitive user hadn’t tried that before! And maybe they discovered that Dark Mode on iOS causes other applications to be rendered less accessible due to invisible icons. (I’m looking at you 1Password and IntelliJ.) A good user experience for photosensitive users must be built into an app with care. I can always tell when a software company hasn’t actually tried to use their own software features, because they wouldn’t tolerate them. Many people want Dark Mode, so just give it to them, and give them other reasons to pay add-on prices. To suggest otherwise is to show contempt for your prospective client base.

  19. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Non sense. The free version doesn’t work. Don’t waste your time downloading the app. Silly trick to make you purchase the pro version

  20. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Absolutely Useless Unless You Pay. I tried using this app on a new phone and to my surprise I was not even able to start the timer without having to subscribe. What an absolute waste. Do not download this app unless you want to pay $40 / year for a timer. So many good free options out there that apps that deny you of basic functionality for free do not deserve more than a one star.

  21. ★★★★issues with the apple watch app

Broken App & Bad Service. I’ve been using the app for a while and loved it. A recent update had a pop up requiring money after a free trial. That’s not an issue. I am happy to give money to people who make software I love. The issue is after the update, the app is absolutely unusable on my watch. I came to the app store reviews to see if anyone else had mentioned this recently and got to see the developer responses to reviews. They were bad. I’ve done customer support for a long time. These responses were bad enough for me to decide I’m not interested in pursuing any interaction with the customer support team and will find another app.

  22. ★★★★subscription instead of free

App has no “free” version. I understand having a free version of an app with less available features, but you cannot use the timer at all without paying the $40 subscription. This should be advertised as a paid app if there are no usable features in the free version. Also, I hope you fired “Jan”, who spent her time replying to reviews in an unprofessional manner instead of actually cooperating with app users.

  23. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Have to have subscription. There aren’t any free features to this app. You have to get the paid description to use it. Might as well just charge for it in the App Store and not say “free” because it’s not.

  24. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Subscription REQUIRED. App does NOT work without a subscription to their service. Without the subscription what you download is no better than looking at the pictures on the page in the App Store.

  25. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Worked for the trial and now doesn’t work. Now I’m gonna have to add contact company and ask for a refund on my to do list 🙄

  26. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Nothing free. You have to pay to use ANY feature...

  27. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Are you kidding me?. You want me to pay for a timer??? And not even once but yearly? You’re out of your mind. I want a refund on the time I spend downloading the most worthless cash grab of an app I’ve ever seen. Guess I’ll use my phone time OR ONE OF THE MANY FREE APPS for a pomodoro timer.

  28. ★★★★crashes and glitches in the app itself

too many bugs. cant even start the session and it doesn't sync well across devices

  29. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Better free apps out there. I wanted to love this app because the simplicity of it is nice, but it’s an immediate turn off for me when you have to pay monthly just to use the app. No free version, no nothing. There are free apps out there that do the same thing this app does. I’d recommend those instead.

  30. ★★★★subscription instead of free

Cheaper alternatives that don’t require a “subscription”. Don’t buy this. $40 a YEAR for a timer? It’s a blatant cash grab when you can literally buy other applications for one tenth of that that are good for life. Don’t be fooled into spending so much on a platform that charges you yearly to use it when it’s functionality is neither new nor innovative. Save your money and look elsewhere.
