Sensational. Ever since I started this app, it was a bit of adjustment but quickly elaborated to select what emotion I feel most timely. Thank you.

  2. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Forces options. I do not want to see tools and reflect on entries. Period. Until that's optional it's no more than a one star app. Stop forcing things on people. And stop with the donate button every 5 seconds. If I wanted to donate, I would've done it already.

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

The AI Go Deeper feature is very discriminatory towards me in entries about LGBTQ issues. The AI features seem to be fairly biased and discriminatory towards LGBTQ users, which is the opposite of how a journal should be. LGBTQ users need private, unbiased, and non-discriminatory journals a lot more than their peers. Journals should not be worse for LGBTQ users like that. Even with AI disabled, it prompt me to enable it with a big white button every time I write a journal entry.

Great app BUT…. Current bug that's been there for the last few months is that it's impossible to change your profile picture. The picture set for yourself and for friends are different, and if you have your journal linked in multiple devices, good luck trying to change it on both. But anyways, it’s wild there’s still no iPad app. I do most of my journaling on iPad. At the very least, give us a Safari-friendly UI we can save as a web app on the home screen. Please don't be like Instagram who took over a decade for this. I’d love the option to upload more media say 5–10 photos and up to a minute of video per entry. Integration with Apple Music and Spotify would also be huge, letting us tag what we’re listening to (songs, genres, or podcasts). Visually, the black background feels heavy. It’d be great to swap it for a blurred color, a gradient, or even the entry’s photo. Random writing prompts would also help spark ideas on days when it’s hard to start. Finally, an emotion check-in slider would be amazing customizable with 3–5 choices, colors, and emojis. It’s way easier to capture how I feel with a slider than by selecting preset words. Would be specially most fun and useful to use this for checking on from my watch or phone/iPad widget, specially if I don't have time or the energy to journal.

  5. ★★★★data, history or progress disappears

It deleted all my data….. I was loving the app and tracking my emotions but randomly it decided to delete EVERYTHING 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄. Like what? No warming, no update, no account info changed. Gone . Be so fr

  6. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not for iPad!. For iPhone ONLY. This should not be in my app store. I don’t like the app at all. The design is terrible, but the worst part is that it is made for iOS, not for iPadOS.

  7. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Creepy Left Swipe Screen Shots. Noticed that my iPhone began taking random left swipe screen shots of things not related to the app days after I started using it. Deleted it immediately.

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Disappointed with added AI. I have used this app for years and absolutely loved it. Things have been hectic and I haven’t been keeping up with it but was very eager to use it again as it always helped me greatly. Then I see that there is AI. I do not want my data being fed to AI. It’s sad I’ll have to let go of yet another thing.

  9. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

i14Pro Battery. I baby my phone. I don’t have tons of junk on it. I don’t have that TikTok garbage, Reddit, none of it. The moment I open this app, my battery gets stupidly hot to the point that I have to close the app, set the phone down, and back away. It’s the ONLY app that does this. Uninstalled.

  10. ★★★★privacy and excessive permissions

THEY ACCESS YOUR PRIVATE DATA. I got this app and really liked it until I read their privacy policy. Once you make an account, they have access to all your information. Their privacy policy says they can access your journal check ins, photos, voice memos, and location data. They do this even if you opt out of the research study. And you can’t opt out of this data collection, period. It’s disgusting, violating, and outrageous that they say the app is a private journal when they have access to literally everything you put in

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Apple Watch app. Please develop an Apple Watch app to log in my emotions from my watch. I get check in notifications on my watch which I can act on only with my phone. This will greatly help people with attention problems , especially with their phones. Fantastic app otherwise. No contact email of team provided to add in feature requests.

  12. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

No AI please. I was really excited by this app and totally loved the concept. It felt more modern and helpful compared to daylio (what i use for the last few years). However i was horrified that “AI” is integrated into this. Given how AI companies have treated basically everyone, this feels unconscienable. I would not be able to consistently use the app withoit feeling anger purely from the AI aspect. Had to uninstall.

  13. ★★★★★a needed feature is missing

Options. There’s no option for a medium capacity. But if I’m not super high or super low. Also, the physical descriptions are inadequate and difficult to use.

  14. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Very impressive and immersive prompts. I think this will definitely benefit my mental health in the positive direction just by checking in multiple times and reframing a negative mind space. It should also serve as a reference point for a baseline model of what I should be focused on throughout the day or even week. (Studying or painting/ B&W Supremacy for the win! Or gr_e/a_yish brain matter??)

  15. ★★★★★excessive or broken notifications

Would love it if I remembered the app existed. I have spent over 2 hours troubleshooting why my notifications will not work in this app. I am typically good at figuring these things out and I try everything until I find a solution but it isn't worth spending time trying to fix anymore and I'll just forget about this app and the 3 logged emotions I have in there from when I was trying to fix the notifications problem. Sucks.

  16. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Good App, Bad AI. I’ve really enjoyed using this app so far, it’s really helping me identify my emotions and see the ups and downs of everyday. That being said, I don’t think AI belongs on an app that claims to be helping people with their mental health. There have been real-world cases of people entering psychosis because the AI hallucinates or continues to say yes to everything they say, even delusional thoughts. At that point, someone is better off talking to a real person or journaling with themself. The video lessons definitely have some kind of AI avatar where they use recordings of a person’s likeness to generate new videos with a script. Thanks to this app I can identify better that it made me feel really uneasy watching it. See Lily Alexandre’s video about AI where she demonstrates how this technology works. Hire real people to film real scenes, it’s not that hard.

  17. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

No “AI” w/o Account. Can’t use “AI” features without creating an account, which I will not be doing. So much for not collecting any data.

  18. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

issues with the app. for some reason, my app will not open when i click on it. it just shows the how we feel heart, and then automatically closes. my friends couldn’t see my check-ins so i tried updating my IOS as well as the app, but this didn’t solve the issue. it’s a shame, because i really looked forward to checking in throughout the day… ):

  19. ★★★★★saving, exporting or sharing the result fails

please fix the sharing with friends. please fix the sharing with friends, thats a huge reason i use the app and i just dont even want to open it since its been bugged so long. i dont ever see when my friends update and they do it daily and share with me i know for a fact. i oherwise think the app is nice but kills my drive to use it since i cant use it the way i inteded to

  20. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Has potential but not for me. Alexithymia has always been a problem for me. The issue with an app like this is that I need to be able to identify a feeling in the first place in order to be able to check in. I wind up getting frustrated and either picking out an emotion like “sure, I guess” or getting frustrated and closing the app. The other issue that I have is the videos - I also have auditory processing disorder, so I’m not getting anything out of videos (yes there’s closed captions, I still absorb info better when I’m not rushed to read it). I’d like the option of being able to read a transcript of the video.

  21. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Great idea. Updates to friends and syncing must be more seamless

  22. ★★★★★a needed feature is missing

More Options. This app is fantastic, but I wish there was an iPad and desktop version of the app. I like using the AI journal to go deeper, but I hate using my keypad to type and dictation. It would be a better experience on desktop.

  23. ★★★★★data, history or progress disappears

good in concept but makes me sad :( !. ive lost my data twice now even with icloud syncing and getting data exports from the app but they dont match the file type or i just never get the data export / syncing. it makes me really sad i spent a lot of time logging for it all to be gone :(

  24. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

It’s a start... Need to add MORE words, many more. And/or change them up. It’s the same ones all the time, & many times I don’t feel any of them apply to my exact feeling at the moment…which is more frustrating than even helpful! And should add more than the 4 main categories of feelings also.

  25. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Animations mandatory. Great for the emotional ID angle but since animations can't be disabled, I mostly feel nauseous when I use the app

  26. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Only 2 feelings at a time?. It seems like you can only enter two feelings for a checkin and maybe they must correspond to the initial summary quadrant. (Using free version; may be wrong.) I’m a lot more complicated than that. I want to check in with maybe 8-10 feelings and would be interested in how that would be tracked and summarized over time. Also, I hid the app names on my phone to save space. The “About” text should include the name of the app.

  27. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Slight bug. Hey y’all, I really enjoyed using your app but noticed I can’t get in as of late. I was wondering if you could fix this issue?

  28. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Tracking your emotions.. Worked well for keeping track of my feelings and emotions. I liked the bubble graphs and the way it played out them emotions throughout the day week or month and what I was feeling on those days. Great app!

  29. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Mostly ok. I’m a little surprised they don’t have some basic emotions like hungry, ill/sick and horny/aroused. But it’s a nifty way to look back on the weeks or days.

  30. ★★★★★cross-device sync is unreliable

It’s good, but maintenance needs work. The app itself is solid, diary entries work and are a great way to get my feelings down. But there seems to be a lack of care in terms of app maintenance. When downloading a backup file from the settings to re-import back to the app (ex: after a fresh reinstall), the app says the backup file has no check-ins to speak of, when that’s wrong. Send feedback button also seems nonfunctional, so I have no other way to notify the devs about this.
