  1. ★★★★photo and barcode food recognition accuracy

Photo recognition is off. Every time I take a picture of my meal for a carb count, the photo recognition is off! I think it would be good if that was fixed.

  2. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Bait and switch. App world ok for about a day, then it stopped recognizing foods. Super clunky for entering ingredients. Dated updates and duplicated glucose entries. Then didn't let me cancel at the end of the trial period.

  3. ★★★★updates and crashes break tracking

Learning. Not understanding how to separate meal entries

  4. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Rip off. Can’t do ANYTHING without a subscription. Worthless “tracker” that is ridiculously overpriced

  5. ★★★★updates and crashes break tracking

Broken. Downloaded app, signed up for a new account and all I got anytime I opened the app was a page with 2 reviews. Couldn’t close it or access anything else. Junk

  6. ★★★★updates and crashes break tracking

Not Consistent. I am absolutely disappointed in this app. This app continuously doesn’t save entries I put in. It’s almost on the daily that I enter a dosage & when I go back to check what time it was at the entire entry is gone. I’ve already left this as a review & they emailed me telling me to track when it doesn’t do it. I don’t have time to do that. The whole point of paying for this app is so it tracks so I don’t have to track. Not only is this a huge disappointment & inconvenience, but it’s ridiculous. I am making health decisions based on what I track here & now I have no idea what time or what amount my dosage was because it doesn’t save my entry. Why is it that an app like Snapchat, I could take a Snapchat & not have reception for 3 days and it still saves my Snapchat, but here is I don’t have service it won’t even let me make an entry & if I do have service it doesn’t even save it at least once a day. How does this not have an auto save feature no matter what, where it can upload later if for whatever reason it fails to upload the first time. This is a safety concern. Not to mention, the whole reason I even initially signed up was because it advertised that it will track patterns & give me advice, it hasn’t done that once, there’s been no patterns tracked or advice given to better manage my diabetes. To charge that much for an app & have it work this poorly is crazy work.

  7. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Keeps asking me to pay 7-day trials. I was trying to use this to track my calories and carbs since I have diabetes but it keeps asking me to try a 7-day free trial, which I’m not interested in. This ruined my chance of wanting to continue using this app.

  8. ★★★★other

    Underwhelming. I

  9. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Bait & switch. Advertised to be a free app with in-app purchases, however, after installing the app and signing into an account, it informs that its premium ONLY, and requires a subscription with a free week trial. The price isn’t too bad, but given the initial lie, I’m not interested in subscribing.

  10. ★★★★photo and barcode food recognition accuracy

Bad numbers, scam. First times trying this is spite out ridiculous numbers like 220g carbs for one banana, etc. just overall inaccurate. Like most of other “free” apps nowadays, you open the app, have to agree to start a free trial, and then after 7 days they charge you $80 for a full year subscription of the app. So stupid, don’t download.

  11. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Card charged on same day. No 7 day trial given.. I sign up on the app today to try it for 7 days as offered. My card was charged today. Why was I charged during trial period? I cancelled today and it states active till April 2026.

  12. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

No way to bypass trial period. There is no way to bypass the trial period to use the base free app. When I wrote in about it, I was given a free day of premium. This didn’t resolve the issue. Customer service was nice and fast, but I felt like I wasn’t being listened to. Devs need to make the free version available from the start and then offer paid plans like similar apps I’ve used.

  13. ★★★★photo and barcode food recognition accuracy

Just bad. Barcode scanner always lists the wrong item when every other app gets it right. When entering custom food you force me to enter a weight when I don’t own a scale let alone carry one around with me. There is almost a 2 hour lag time on your app getting my CGM reading making this entire thing pointless.

  14. ★★★★photo and barcode food recognition accuracy

uncomfortable. design is difficult to use. food tracking inaccurate. good looking app. unfortunately no realtime data for glucose tracking.

  15. ★★★★missing food data and measurement units

55 Year Person With Diabetes. I would encourage people to really try this app before they purchase it. The difficulty adding something as common as a bowl of Cheerios, makes me regret forgetting to cancel my trial period. I recommend a number of other food tracking apps.

  16. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Not happy w app. The app cancelled my subscription and asked for another $48 payment TWICE within 30 days. can’t always find menu items of foods consumed. Camera that analyzes your meals is questionable. Not happy with app so asked for refund.

  17. ★★★★missing food data and measurement units

Logging. Poor logging options esp for custom food.

  18. ★★★★photo and barcode food recognition accuracy

No insights. This app did nothing more than take a picture a nutrition label. After several tries it would connect to Dexcom.

  19. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Charged before fee trial started and no refund when cancelled before trial ended. Ripoff Charges for thee months when signed up for free trial and when cancelled before trial over no refund or access to paid subscription, which I don’t want anyway but was charged for.

  20. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Useless. You have to create an account before finding out this only allows 5 meal entries per week. I just need help counting carbs for diabetes management and everyone has to profit off of it. All the free apps are gone.

  21. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

1 + 1 = 2…very simple. Don’t fall for a app that offers a free trial…and then when you don’t want to subscribe that bill you anyway with not a darn thing for your trouble. My so. And I both tried this app. It happened to both of us

  22. ★★★★updates and crashes break tracking

Scam. I have tried to reset my password at least 5 times. I have paid for a full year and only used the app for a couple of months. And now I can’t get into the app

  23. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Short trial period 24 hrs then locked. I am diabetic and I heard lots of good things about SNAQ so I downloaded it on my phone. I was happy with its simple easy to use program, but in the 2nd day it locked its functions. Yep, 24 hrs free usage then it has a pop up asking you to pay for its services. I find it ironic it was the #1 choice for diabetic free tracker but it’s not free. False advertising!

  24. ★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Subscription and will not treat your medical information as confidential. This is a service as a subscription model. The download is a limited free trial. At its cheapest, it’s $4 a month if you subscribe for a year. The EULA specifically states they own everything you tell the app and will not treat it as confidential. As you are probably going to connect it to you continuous glucose monitor that means it includes your medical information is going to be sold to other companies.

  25. ★★★★★updates and crashes break tracking

Last Update Awful. App was good until the last update. Now it’s too hard to find net carbs. I’ll be looking for a replacement app

  26. ★★★★★updates and crashes break tracking

Terrible update. The latest update has made this app almost useless. Can no longer easily find previous meals and it keeps putting the wrong time when I enter an insulin dose or a meal.

  27. ★★★★★photo and barcode food recognition accuracy

Barcode camera focus sucks. You guys need to fix the freaking focus on the barcode scan option by the time I get it to focus on my iPhone 16 pro my meals cold or dinners already freaking over….. Also need to make it easier to add portions (1/2/3 servings) tired of double adding my meals so I can make it accurate to 2 cups or 1 cup of items

  28. ★★★★★subscription and free trial feel deceptive

Not what I expected. Sadly we did try to cancel our free trial on the last day but for whatever reason we were still charged. We haven’t found an item that could be scanned and the calculations simply are frustrating, For instance, scanning an item in resulted in wildly inaccurate carb amounts without the ability to change it. It has just lead to frustration and a waste of money. Hopefully it will improve with time.

  29. ★★★★★updates and crashes break tracking

Takes forever to search. Takes forever to search. And then takes 10-20 seconds to load.

  30. ★★★★★photo and barcode food recognition accuracy

Not what it looked like. The ad made it seem like it would suggest carbs for your meals but I still have to manually input each ingredient by weight. The biggest benefit is seeing carbs against blood sugar but I can track that more easily with glooko.
