   $520 / year is criminal.. This app is more expensive than phone service. It used to be 69 / year. Now it’s 9.99 a week. Criminal pricing. Boooo!

   Lost everything. No support. Avoid.. After using this app for over 10 years, I cannot sign back in and there is zero support outside of an AI machine. I will be looking for another app. Lost everything. Backing up is also extremely tedious. Avoid.

   ⚠️BUYER BEWARE!. I paid a one-time fee they offered (which was a lot) when I purchased the “PRO” version of this app. However, when I try to open and use it lately, it’s requiring that I purchase an ADDITIONAL subscription to be able to use/access the app… which I’ve already paid for! This is fraud – plain and simple. If you enjoy supporting businesses that scam people, this is the app for you. If not, I’d stay very far away. And it appears I’m not alone as loads of other reviewers are reporting the exact same thing. I’m beginning to lose trust in some of these developers and in the Apple App Store as a whole.💔

   No recordings and no response. All of my recordings are "empty," showing no waveform and no file. I have used the app to report this to customer service multiple times, and have never received a response. This app and its support structure have proven to be utterly useless.

   Paid for App That Doesn’t Work in My Country – Requesting Full Refund. I paid $10 for this app, but after payment I found that it does not support my country (Iraq). This issue was not mentioned before purchase, and the app is completely unusable here. Please issue a full refund as I cannot use the service at all.    Just got a $170 phone bill for using the app. The new owners raised their price to $130 a year but that’s nothing compared to the $170 bill you’ll get from ATT for an international call while trying to record a half hour phone call with someone from your town. Avoid like the plague. Used to be good, know it’s just a money trap.

   Previous purchase no longer recognized?!?!? Please help. I purchased this app a year ago but since then they changed to a subscription business model. Now I no longer have access to the app and it says they can’t find my purchase. My previous purchase still shows in my apple AppStore purchase history but they still won’t give me access anymore. If my issue is resolved I will reconsider my 1 star review.

   Used to be good.. I’ve had this app for years. Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don’t so that iPhone offload it sometimes. I want to reinstall the app today. And try to restore. Because I bought this paid version years ago. Now it is telling me that I have to pay a subscription to use it per year. When in the past, it would always work. I do not recommend this app. I would say go with somebody else, who is cheaper if you have to pay subscription. I got this five stars years ago. Now I’m giving you a one star. It is unfortunate that the company have moved to this model. I will never deal or buy any software that they create again.

   No longer functioning. After the changes in the app it no longer functions properly. I have been using this app since it came out. I went to the Apple forums and this seems to be a problem. Calls will not merge.

    Stoped working. It was working just fine but then it stopped working. I deleted it and installed it again but still not working. It is frozen on one screen with no menus at all. Sad to have lost money on this one.

    Doesn’t work.. I purchased the PRO version and I keep receiving “ an error has occurred” when I try to make a call. Tech support is nonexistent. I have an Apple 12 and have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Their help site is also quite anemic. Very poor quality

    Won’t work, no support. I purchased the “lifetime” version, but there’s no “lifetime” support. Not sure the last time this app was updated in the App Store. I have successfully recorded calls, and then all of a sudden the process stopped working. The TAC merged call immediately drops as soon as the other call is merged. The app is unreliable and no longer functional. Very disappointing.

    Doesn’t work - Recorded low noise fuzz. First time i tried to use it in a critical need, it recorded nothing but low noise fuzz for 12.5 minutes…will be requesting my money back

    Deceptive. I made a lifetime purchase when the Pro version of the app first came out. Then they changed to a subscription service and said I would lose all my calls unless I paid the steep subscription fee. Nah!

    false advertising. This app doesn't work at all as they claim. I have to make a call, merge the calls, and then have a conversation with someone on the line. This is ridiculous. I feel misled and was under the impression that the app would automatically record all my phone calls. Instead, I have to go through seven steps that I could easily do myself without paying $11.

    This company is no good!. 1. They upped their prices by a LOT after the first year! 2. If I agree to pay for one of the new plans, I have no idea which one I need to be able to keep the years’ worth of recordings that I have. So I’m stuck with the most expensive. Like $250. There’s no description explaining the multiple plans. 3. They say in the Q&A that you can download your recordings, but I can’t have all that on my phone And 4.When you log into your account on a computer, you get nothing, but “Error Occured” 5. The customer support email address they’re putting on other people’s comments on here they don’t respond to!

    SCAM. Bought the app in 2021, now it says I need a subscription.. Do not buy. The company has changed the terms and now claims I somehow bought a “one year subscription” in 2021, when in fact, I bought the app—full stop—and there was no subscription option at that point. Do not trust this company to honor your purchase or deal honestly with you. There are plenty of other good recording apps; skip this one due to their unethical practices.

    Lifetime just ran out. If there was a rating lower than one star, I would give it. I had a “Lifetime” subscription, now get a message saying my “annual” subscription has expired. How does a lifetime subscription expire if I’m still breathing and the app still exists?! I want to download my recordings and be done with this company!!!!

    OBSCENE Price Increase!. Unbelievable! I’ve used this app for several years but was just notified these THIEVES are raising their subscription from $19.95 to $69.95 a year. That’s OBSCENE! A FIFTY DOLLAR INCREASE! Are they CRAZY?!?! I’ve just CANCELLED my subscription and am grateful I caught it in time. Considering that the new Apple iOS also lets us record calls for FREE, the price increase for TapeACall is even MORE RIDICULOUS! Rip Off!

    Buyer beware and price increase from $10 to $60. I’ve subscribed for years. It was popular at the law firm I was then with. It’s a good app but could be better. For one, there’s no ability to download all recordings as a batch. They make you transfer them one by one which is extremely tedious. And customer service, in my experience, is non existent. I’ve probably contacted them a dozen times over the years regarding various issues but have never heard back from them. I’m also not comfortable with their tracking and new terms of service. I made the mistake of updating the app and was then forced to accept their new terms or I couldn’t get to my recordings, many of which are legal in nature. Highly unethical and I believe illegal to hold my recordings hostage as coercion to accept new terms. I intend to, among other things, forward my concerns to the New York Attorney General’s office. If the aforementioned wasn’t enough, they just announced they’re raising the annual subscription from $9.99 to $59.99. As soon as I download my recordings I’ll be canceling. There are numerous other options that I believe will work just as well and for much lower cost.

    Rip off. I’ve had this app since 2018, happily paying $19.99/year. Would you know I get an email from Apple a few days ago saying “Your Subscription Price Increase” and proceeds to let me know these thieves are now charging $69.99/year. It WAS worth the $19.99/year because it’s not the best and also not the worst out there, but definitely NOT worth $69.99/year. All of my recordings have a “click” in them as the other person is talking and they’ve taken away a lot of the basic features it once had. They’re CANCELED!

Requested additional help / an explanation about why the dialer is no longer available but have yet to hear back for over a month. For that reason I canceled my subscription and my employees and family members subscriptions also. Steer clear of this app they will make changes not tell you then if you need support or have questions good luck getting reply back
