   Why. Drink water really this app is horrible

   Disappointing app from lazy coders. I liked this app at first and paid for it to get rid of the ads. I liked the relatively plain interface, with no cutesy rewards or gamification. But as I got to know the app better, I grew disappointed in its many flaws. I soon found a better alternative, stopped using the Drink Water app, and canceled my subscription. There are so many stupid decisions bundled together in this app. I can only imagine the poor working conditions that must exist at App Rover, the company that made Drink Water. It seems clear that the monetization of users is the top priority. But they're not even smart about how they do it. Let’s talk about the ads. This app is NSFW unless you pay for it — because the ads are screen-hogging animated noise makers that are difficult to dismiss. (When I registered Drink Water, I was “rewarded” with a full-screen ad for Candy Crush Saga, like a parting slap before they accepted my payment.) The ads make Drink Water incompatible with older devices. I recommended Drink Water to a friend who needs to monitor water intake for medical reasons — but Drink Water kept misbehaving on her iPhone, most of the time showing her just a blank screen. As best I can tell, the full-screen ads were the problem.

   Stopped getting notified. I got notifications for a while. Never changed any settings but I stopped getting notifications. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, still don’t get any.

   Reminder does not work.. I have mine set up to remind me every 30 minutes. All my settings are set to allow notifications from the app. I have not gotten one notification all day.

    This app is a joke. I’ve I out my info and set the reminder for every 2 hours…but wait, you have to pay to get alerts!!! It doesn’t tell you that unless you pay you won’t be getting alerts Deleting it immediately

    Notification. Notifications don’t work well with Apple Watch.

    Not free. Looks like a free app with ‘in app purchases’ but when you hit Apple Pay it comes up as $29.99 and if you’re slowwww like me you don’t catch it in time. Ok fine, accidents happen! But why do they make it impossible to cancel your subscription in the app? FYI - you have to go to App Store > Account > Subscriptions to opt out. You won’t get a full refund, but if you change your subscription to the weekly option ($2.99) first, they will refund you the $27 difference from the annual. Then you can cancel and enjoy this dumb little app for a week. I just wanted a cute water meter thing but honestly I can just set reminders myself for every 2hrs….not hard.

    Soft erotica cartoon ads. I really like this app but the ads that pop up are really inappropriate and unnecessary. I wish borderline erotic cartoon app games were not something that happened, especially since I had initially recommended this app to my grandmother.

    Don’t work anymore. It was great when it was working fine but I don’t work anymore it kicks me out for no reason, even when unloaded and reinstalled still don’t work and a pay full year membership
