   Incredible app… limited by a subscription paywall.. This app has some of the best sounds on the market. However, due to the greedy company who created it, you have to pay monthly in order to use it to its full extent. A one time payment would make sense, however a subscription based model for a white noise app is purely ridiculous.

   Burns up your phone. This app is very poorly optimized it kills your battery and overheats the phone. You must leave your phone charging while using the app otherwise it will drain your battery and the phone will shutdown in the middle of the night. However even if your phone is plugged in, it will not charge above 80% because it gets too hot you’ll see the warning screen, “iPhone will continue charging once it returns to normal temperature.” Overall it’s a disaster. Get something better!

   Do not recommend. I would like to update AFTER the product developers response. I’ve used the app for a few months now because it does have A LOT of free options. However the issue I have is not with the fact it’s a subscription. It’s the fact that when you find a sleep option that works with your sleep pattern, brain, etc. when you find what you’re looking for in the free options and you use it for 3 weeks to a month the sound that works for you falls into the “subscription part”, because someone is monitoring the app and realized a specific track is being frequently utilized. That’s the problem. The developers try to FORCE you into a subscription. Just another subscription, the longer you listen to the same sound they add that free sound to the subscription only options. Even if it started out free to begin with.

   Charged me even though I cancelled within 7 days. Not cool.. I subscribed to a 7 day free trial and cancelled before the 7 days were up. It seemed like a great ap the few times I used it, but the company charged my credit card 39.99 even though I cancelled within the 7 day free trial time period. I am disappointed in this, have contacted apple and hope the owners of better sleep make this right.

    $40 per year. It’s not free. It’s a one week free trial for a $40 subscription. No chance this is worth $40 a year. And they ask a bunch of unnecessary questions about you to dial in the best sound. Collecting personal data for no reason. Also the sounds aren’t great or especially flexible.

    This is trash just get Rain Rain.. Rain Rain allows you to use three in the free version to mix that’s already better than White Noise. You get more options for a cheaper price if you wanted the premium. It’s the same thing just better. And no, I’m not an employee of Rain Rain.

    Suspicious Resource hog. It’s crazy how I can play music all night with any app on battery but if you play white noise in this app it cuts through your battery like a hot knife through butter. Just what else is this app doing in the background?

    High pressure sales tactics. Used high pressure sales tactics on me as soon as I opened the app and tried to use it. Saying it had a one time deal to buy I would lose forever if I closed the little page. Which it showed me before I had ever even used the app.

    Predatory pricing. I don’t like apps that offer a free trial but require a credit card for it. Just give me the trial and then pause the app access after 7 days until I pay. No… instead you’re sneaky about it and don’t warn anyone. I used this app on a vacation while away from my home sound machine. Missed the cutoff by 6 hours to cancel and I’m now out $40 for something I’ll never use again.

    Basically a Scam. If you need white noise, find something else. I downloaded this app while away from my usual white noise source on vacation. I just wanted the free trial, and checked an option to get a reminder to cancel before the trial period was up. I never received the reminder, and naturally I forgot to cancel. I then got charged $45 for a year membership all at once. After emailing support and following up, I have yet to receive a response a week later. This is clearly set up to encourage people to download for a trial and then get charged for a full year subscription up front. Totally scammy and manipulative - do yourself a favor and stay away.
