Love this app but…. I love this app but it does not work on Mac Sequoia 15.5. It crashes.

  2. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

More paid subscription content. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. $8+/month or $55+/ year. Apple really should include this info on the download page so those of us who are cost conscious can just not waste our time. You get 3 free audio samples. Just 3, and none are very interesting imo. I’m actually ok with paying for individual audio environments, but there’s no option to pay for them separately. Nor is there any kind of one time purchase option. For those willing to pay a monthly or annual fee, I hope you enjoy your purchase. I will not be joining you.

  3. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

subscription? really?. would pay a flat rate for all the sounds, not a monthly subscription. greedy company.

  4. ★★★★immersive soundscapes help relax and sleep

Overrated. Hard to find a good one, waste of time. Sounds good, has a lot of potential as usual these people just dont use that potential like they should, its lame.

  5. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

Subscription. Of course, this is just another app completely locked behind a subscription. The unpaid version only allows 3 sounds that are already picked. Thinking someone is going to pay $55 a year or $8+ per month for this is ridiculous.

  6. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

Could be amazing if the paywall wasn’t $9…. I’m not paying $9 a month for this. I’d pay per noise but to ask that much a month is ludicrous. Especially in this economy.

  7. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

Pay to listen False advertising. So as an Avatar Fan I was very excited and surprised to see Mo’Avi in this app and the reason I downloaded it was because of this unfortunately this is stuck behind a monthly subscription service to even listen to this which I refuse to pay tbh this app doesn’t have many reviews alone so sticking behind a pay wall when you’re a small app doesn’t help at all anyway I’ll be deleting this app until this section becomes free.

  8. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

lol come on... $5/month for a (albeit high quality) sound machine? This obsession with subscriptions is mind boggling. There’s not enough value in this app for more than $5/year. A yearly app renewal would be fine, provided it is maintained, but pumping out an unnecessary amount of redundant content for $5/month is a low quality cash grab, at best.

  9. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

Mad. I paid for a year and I can’t even use it. It logged me out and will not take my email and I do t remember then password. And the the site is in another language so you can’t even recover it. So they took my 60ish dollars and give you nothing.

  10. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

two titles. So we get two titles without paying. Two. And we don’t even get samples of the other titles. Money first, then we can see if it’s worth it? It seems like these types of apps could be so much more lucrative if they would allow us to know what we’re getting into before charging us $8 a month. Instead I’m just going to be disappointed and delete it.

  11. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

No Single sound purchase option. Downloaded the app and upon first listen I was not disappointed. The audio is very detailed and you can tell there was a lot of effort put into them. With that being said… there are only around 3 free audios you can choose from. To access any other you need to have a subscription. There should be an option to purchase a few of the sounds. There is also no audio preview option so I wouldn’t even know if it’s worth purchasing a subscription.

  12. ★★★★immersive soundscapes help relax and sleep

Slow and Redundant. App takes too long to load each sound. Very few focus environments. Who sleeps in AirPods for spatial audio? As much as 4/5 mins wait time on 5G and WIFI.

  13. ★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

App doesn’t work at all. No matter what I try- reinstalling, restarting it, reconnecting my earphones. Nothing works. It won’t play and won’t download anything.

  14. ★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

App doesn’t work. I want to give this a 5 star. But the app doesn’t work. I played 1/4 of one track and then tried to other free tracks (I just discovered the app today) and it won’t play, load, anything else. When I go back to the song I was playing previously ( the fourth of a track) it plays 1.5-2 seconds and stops. It won’t load anymore. I deleted and reinstalled. Same problem :(

  15. ★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

Avoid. Everything is stuck behind a subscription paywall. There s one free sound and its generic without spatial audio. Go for any number of free apps/websites that offer more. This is just a cash grab. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  16. ★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

Most sounds don’t work. So many of the sounds don’t work. The only thunderstorm one especially doesn’t work. Lots of lag and delay for others. Great when it does work but horrible and frustrating when it doesn’t especially when paying a monthly fee !

  17. ★★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

Apple TV issues. The “Balance” and “Universe” settings cannot be adjusted on my Apple TV. I’m using tvOS 18.3.1. Please help.

  18. ★★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

Errors, can’t access the audio after subbing:. I just keep getting “no internet connection” errors and the music stops. Internet is just fine. I’ve tried multiple places, and run speed tests. The “internet” connection is just fine for everything else. They sound amazing, but once I paid, I’m not getting access to anything.

  19. ★★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

cash grab. 99.5% all cost money. only four were free

  20. ★★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

3 sounds. The sounds that I can listen to without paying are good but there are only 3 and this app is not cheap it’s over $8 a month

  21. ★★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

Badly overpriced. The three free soundscapes aren’t bad, but a subscription model to unlock the rest is tone deaf price positioning. A $15 one time flat rate would get my business.

  22. ★★★★★immersive soundscapes help relax and sleep

odysound doesn’t play in background on my iPad. You have to keep the app open and it drains the battery. Tried reaching customer service but it’s not available in English.

  23. ★★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

Nice idea but ultimately falls short. Although a nice idea its a little esoteric and does not have a lasting appeal. There are far too many soundscape categories to choose from and you’ll spend your time constantly darting from one category to another without finding any that you really like or are prepared to listen to at length. It has only a very limited and fleeting appeal. The best sound is the preview sound which does not come from any of the soundscapes. It all looks as though it is going to offer more than it does but ultimately does not really satisfy and at the subscription price is certainly not worth it in my opinion.

  24. ★★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

5 stars for the sounds, 2 stars for the app. The sounds are amazing. However, the App is a bit clunky. It will sometimes stop playing in the background. And I just recently discovered that it will not easily work in offline mode even though I have several sounds downloaded. It kept crashing when I tried to play one of my downloaded sounds. Not great when you’re in an airplane. While I don’t regret subscribing for one year, I don’t think I will renew for a second year. It’s been several months since new sounds were added (well, some white noise static sounds were added but those aren’t why I signed up). But the soundscapes that do exist are lovely. I think if I could pay a flat fee for unlimited access to my favorites AND choose my own player kind of like buying a song on iTunes I would do that.

  25. ★★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

No internet Connection. This review is more for the app than the soundscapes. The No internet Connection pops up all the time. I do have internet connection. Vast majority of the time I can’t stream any sound without the message. So downloading is the only option. Also downloads fail all the time. And sometimes even when attempting to play downloaded soundscapes it will still pop the message which stops the sound and dumps you back into the app. There’s also been numerous times I set the sound and the timer and go to bed. 3 minutes later for no reason it stops playing. This could happen 3 times in 15 minutes. Then I gotta get up go to my phone and start it up again. All that being said these soundscapes are remarkable. I’ve been startled numerous times while working thinking there’s a bird or an animal somewhere in my vicinity. I’d also request that there be volume control. The ability to play a soundscape while listing to a podcast is amazing. But sometimes the podcast is to loud and there’s no way to adjust one or the other. Love the app and hope there’s an update in the near future. Thanks! I am a subscriber and I’ll give it the year. I really want to like the app. But it’s got some rough edges.

  26. ★★★★★other

Suggestion. This is a great app that would greatly benefit from sound previews for all tracks and the ability to purchase individual soundscapes. Maybe 2.99-4.99 per track. Letting users pay for and keep forever what they want. Also a lifetime membership option that is *reasonably* priced. A lot of people are tired of the subscription model. Eventually they’ll get tired of that extra expense and the product is long forgotten. Allowing ppl actual ownership keeps them coming back years to come because they don’t feel like they’re being taken advantage of.

  27. ★★★★★immersive soundscapes help relax and sleep

Nice sounds. But overall too busy. There are some good sound bases here. But of the couple dozen I checked out, there was some distracting element that wrecked it. Too many birds. So many I halfway expected to hear them in the space scene. A good base app. Well designed. But you can get more useful sounds for less with other apps.

  28. ★★★★★no internet connection errors and crashes

Some sounds don't work. I haven't been able to get green sound to work for months. I use it for my autistic meltdowns and overloads, and no other app works better than Odysound. I'm super disappointed. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, I have full signal, and I've tried reaching out to support, and haven't gotten responses. Three sounds because some sounds still work and the app is nice. Would get 5 if all the sounds worked without issues.

  29. ★★★★★subscription trap: expensive with almost nothing free

Great but could be better. The sound design for the 3 free audios are great! But I was upset to find that another app is clambering onto the subscription train ride. I only downloaded the app for one sound I saw advertised (turns out it’s behind the paywall) and would honestly be more willing to spend money on here if I could preview and “buy” individual audios. I get it tho the artists have to be paid, but 56$ for a year of using maybe 4 different audios? It’s a bit much

  30. ★★★★★user soundscape ideas and contest submissions

Ok. No, I’m not sure how to put a dream as a description of a soundscape, but something that does feel quite dreamy and trippy that gives you sort of an out of body experience. this kind of dreamy soundscape would be ideal for meditation when you want to unwind or when you sleep and have a really weird and cool dreams.
