It gave me the option for a free subscription trial. Then it charged me $60 immediately requesting a refund

Said I would get 3 day free trial then immediately charged me. Complete scam.

They advertise 7 day free trial. What they don't tell you is if you use during the free trial, they will deduct $65 from your account. That is not a free trial. That is free until you try to use it. Funny thing is, I only opened the app and did not use it nor save any pictures and it still deducted the money from my account

When you offer 7 days trial and after that you charge me 60$ for 1 year subscription it's scam

Before people buy the seven day free trial you should force them to sign in because now I am getting charged and there is no way to cancel it

Some time later, I was unexpectedly charged $80. I contacted Apple Customer Support twice and provided evidence, including screenshots showing that I had canceled the subscription. Despite this, my refund requests were denied, and I was still charged.

They will charge an annual fee of over $70 while advertising a monthly subscription!!

not only is it mainly AI, but there is hardly anything you can use that is actually free. Even the basic filters now are premium. The only feature I've seen you could do that was actually free was cropping

It's clear the developers aren't money hungry. They have a super cheap annual subscription option or a very reasonable one-time payment option. The app is also very useable without paying.

I downloaded about 20 editing apps and this one is the best I found! All the same tools as Facetune but free! You have to watch ads before saving but I don’t mind that at all. The app needs to make money and I’d rather that be in the form of advertisers than me paying a monthly subscription.

I was looking for an app to make Album Cover Art with that I could also pay for once and not have to subscribe forever to use and came across this one.

This is by far the best lightweight app of this kind. No subscription and well priced add-ons. The only thing I want is an app like this for GIFs or add GIF support to this app or Vont.

If you can't afford adobe, you can afford this and it really helps with words on your photos and different layers as well. Colors and strokes or backgrounds

Nice software, enough functionality for ordinary users. Free of charge means the designer likes to make everyone happy but they deserve more professional user to purchase more high level software. Ethic's business.

I've loved this app for years, paid or free version. I can get so much done with it and it's easy and worth it to get the sub and then cancel if I need to. Now, with the addition of AI tools, there's even more you can do with it.

They try and tout this as a mostly free to use app, but the things you can do without the paid subscription are incredibly limited. You can snap a photo with life capture, but can't save it

Having "facetune" written on all the photos you save, seriously? So tacky. The price is way too high if you do want to go premium

Anytime you save a photo from the app, Facetune becomes part of the file name. Currently, to get around this, I have to AirDrop the photo to my MacBook, rename it there, and then AirDrop it back to my phone.

I am using my FaceTune thats paid until July however, it won't allow me to save changes unless I upgrade to some vip status

I make changes in the app, and when I go to save the edited image, the changes are not saved.

I was initially excited about this app, especially the feature that allows you to remove unwanted objects or distractions from photos. That capability is exactly why I decided to subscribe. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. After completing just one edit, the app consistently crashes and fails to save any progress

1. The app still crashes constantly after an update as of 1 day ago. 2. Trying to download images in batches makes the photos morph multiple pictures into one photo. 3. The app is incredibly slow when it actually works which is not often. 4. I cannot use this app anymore especially for batch editing.

You can't take multiple exposures, you just get an error message. You can't use prism or any other photo effects. if you leave the app—not closing it, just leaving it for a moment—you lose all edits you've made. they straight up don't respond to support requests

Recently after a few days it'll do this stupid thing where it freezes once I click on a project I want to edit or work on, so I got the premium, still the same thing... I deleted the app with the premium thinking my projects will save AND IT DIDNT!!

In the element section when you search something VERY inappropriate images pop up...The zooms are very blurry now. It didn't use to be like this...Funimate just deleted my progress on my project that I have been working on for 2 hours

Lately it's been crashing, not giving me my presets as well as will not load photos or download them. Just keeps spinning.

I've also noticed there has been a big downgrade in quality! The filters are different to what they used to be, the app makes photos look lower quality

I wish they offered better image quality / resolution for export, even exporting in PNG which the app says is for higher quality image, the exported photo resolution reduces significantly, maybe having the option to export higher resolution HEIF or TIF would be much better

In my use case, I uploaded a 5.89MB image at 300ppi, post edit and export the file jumped to 13.7MB and only 72ppi… just curious as to why, in theory, a lesser quality image almost tripled in size.

I recently compared a photo I put dazz through in 2020 compared to the same photo with the same camera style in 2024. The quality has incredibly declined, not only is the resolution worse but the colors have been altered and look almost "cheaper"

Simply going into the edit menu for an image makes the whole thing faded before even applying any edits, and most presets do the same thing.

like how videos export dark?? now my photos are defaulting to HDR when I never changed the settings. also how come when exporting, it always says (16/…) and you can't see the total photos exporting

You can't even import photos, when it let me once i edited a few photos and exported them to find out they exported with an inverted look

But finding photos to import is a pain because you cannot view them in your albums when selecting them in the app. There is no workaround for this as there are in other apps, as you cannot go to the app in Photos and then open it in Snapseed — you can only open them from the photo import feature in the Snapseed app.

vsco's filters are the most accurate I've found that remain true to film emulsions. That's why I've stuck with vsco for around 10 years

My favorite settings are the AI eraser and the color mix!

I mainly utilize presets and adjust light settings or remove unwanted background objects to maximize photo quality and this is a great alternative to having to download photos to my computer and use more complex software (I mainly “clean-up” or lighten kids’ photos, photos for Christmas cards, etc.).

So I haven't had this app for long but in the time line I have had this I have enjoyed my experience so far. I made ai characters and erased something. It all turned out very well, but there was one miscommunication in the ai replace because I was not aware of the ai erase feature I tried to get rid of something and it made random green spots when the background was yellow and white

The AI edits faces in a way that looks unnatural, with weirdly smoothed skin, distorted features, and an eerie, lifeless quality. It feels more like a bad deepfake than a proper enhancement tool. Definitely not what I expected—proceed with caution!
