I've used Signal since Edward Snowden endorsed it (2012). Beats the heck out of WhatsApp in terms of privacy (WhatsApp privacy is like the TSA at airports: your baggage is locked, but they have the key. Read the policies!)
great app, only messenger actually respecting its users privacy compared to all the other data mining sloppily developed apps available *cough* snap and whatsapp
efficient, no issue, no ai bs, also works on desktop. cool!

Great app!! No charges for talking to my son in England. He's in the Airforce, this helps alot for parents who wanna talk to their children. No international charges!
Best chatting app and most important thing in it...there is a Good privacy policy and trusted app but sometimes it buffering at the time of call and voice break during call.

notification is not working properly.. its inconsistent
Bad, I often cannot receive Signal messages until I manually go and check the app. I have given unrestricted background usage permissions and Signal still does this. Having used it on two different smartphones from different brands, I conclude this is 100% Signal's fault.
It's kind of a garbage app. you tend to not get messages delivered unless you go in to the app, or the app won't open at all for hours at a time.

restoration of old chats across devices is not possible, this is very very inconvenient.
the problem is, i cant link my phone(android) and my tab (android) , thats such a major hassle i hope they can correct this

Приложение принудительно сворачивает длинные сообщения и добавляет «читать далее» без возможности отключить это.
Get rid of 'read more'. Stop collapsing messages. And fix forwarding order. It's tedious. It's annoying. It defeats the bloody point if every single time someone writes a longer message it gets collapsed and you have to click 'read more' to expand it. With no option to disable this.
Forbids you to send any messages if you have more than one device. It's just the default app but harder to use and with less options.
I want to use this app, but the desktop version is completely unusable for me. The setup QR code never loads, meaning I can't link my device or use the app on my computer at all.
