Time tracking with instant timer start and reporting — built for freelancers and professionals who need to log hours by project and invoice clients.

What users love

One-tap tracking start — zero friction

Timer starts instantly; you can name the task later — tracking with almost no overhead

Toggle track is by far the best time tracking tool I've ever used. It's strength lies in the incredibly low-friction UI which allows the user to track any number of tasks with minimal overhead/usage time. other habit tracking apps have been usable, but tracking my daily routine often meant spending half an hour each day adding and logging tasks. Toggletrack's UI makes adding a new task, stopping/r

Simple, practical, and very effective for managing time and staying focused.

I love the ability of the timer to start before I even name the event. Also useful are the categories and tags I can categorize with. but I think my favorite is the Toggl widget I can put on my home screen and start the timer without even navigating to the app. one button push... literally

See exactly where your time goes — answers 'where did my hours go'

Entries show where time is actually being spent and help you work with more focus

Simple, practical, and very effective for managing time and staying focused.

Very useful for seeing how you manage your time.

This is an awesome app and program that can help with that ever pressing question "where did my time go". On so many levels this app is useful, intuitive, helpful, and easily accessible. I use this on my phone and computer. Wherever I'm at I can track what I'm doing and who I'm doing it for. Then I can generate reports from my entries. Highly recommend to anyone who needs to track where time is sp

Super easy to use! I've been using this for ages and I love that I can have it on my phone and pc. Reports are very easy to run. Just altogether great!

Easy to use with seamless transition from laptop to phone app.

Projects, clients, tags — flexible time breakdown

Multiple levels (workspaces, clients, projects, tasks, tags) fit any workflow structure

Toggl works great! It's a bit overwhelming with all the integrations and features available, but it works fine for someone like me who doesn't use all that. One missing feature bothers me though: you can only view tags on the desktop website. I wish it was also in the app.

Hi Toggl Track team! I love using your app — it’s cute, simple, and very helpful for tracking my language learning. I use projects for each language and tags for different skills, like Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing, and Active or Passive learning. I hope future updates let us see tags inside each project in reports, for example, how much active or passive learning we did per language. This

Great app. I was able to track my work and activities which allowed me to reflect on how I actually spend my time through the reports. As a person on the spectrum, I loose track of time easily, under/overestimate the time I spend on tasks. This app helped keep my time on check. I especially like the projects and tags which helps me categorize everything neatly. I also like the goal setting feature

Project and client reports — built for freelancers and hourly workers

Clean reports and hour totals make invoicing and effort estimation straightforward

I'm really enjoying the time tracking features, lack of ads, and charts! So I'd love to give this 5 stars, but: 1) You can't turn off the Billable function. I could not wait for my free trial to end because I was so annoyed by having to uncheck Billable every time. 2) You can't change the color of your projects on the free version. It is the most ridiculous nickel-and-diming I've ever seen. (You c

I love this tool for tracking my client work and being able to see how I spend my time. It is a must have as a small service based business.

Since many years (about since 2016) I am a happy daily user of Toggl to track my time at work and other projects! I mostly like the easy and immediate view of hours spent per project and the calendar view to note down my hours. As well Support was very responsive, if I reported that something was broken, which anyway only happens every 2nd year or so. ☺️ Solution was immediately given! 💪🏻 Keep t

Builds focus and fights procrastination

Keeps you on task, adds discipline, and reduces the urge to drift

Simple, practical, and very effective for managing time and staying focused.

After I started using Toggl Track - I started to be more productive and more happy about my daily and weekly achievements. It's an absolutely essential tool for self employed people, especially who have trouble with self-discipline

Best bedt app! Best for productivity Not too complications to use either

Great for tracking study time across subjects and languages

Students log time by subject or language, each with its own timer

Works pretty great! Using it to track my japanese studies and is one of the best free apps for tracking time spent doing tasks

I'm using this app to track my hours for university. love it !

Home screen widget launches tracking without opening the app

A widget button starts the timer in one tap

great app to log and keep track of time. Great user interface. Lots of great features in the free version

I like the android app. I use Polmodoro a lot. I like the weekly overview email I enjoy the synchronization ...........

No nonsense, tags are helpful, easy to use, nice widget for ease of access, good calendar view for everything you've done. Would recommend. There seems to be team stuff too but I haven't checked it out. For solo tracking it's pretty cool.

Goals and analytics help you stay on track

Time goals and charts let you monitor progress and adjust plans

Horrible UI, bloated and confusing. Tries to do too many things at once. Focus on business or individuals not both. Less is more. Uninstalled.

Time tracking is unreliable, sometimes whole active time entry just disappear. Reports does not support tags in the filter.

It's the perfect application for time tracking I use it throughout the day The tags are especially useful

Removed the 'continue from last entry' button — the biggest pain of the redesign

Some users confirm the button is back and it works well again

THANK YOU for bringing back the "SET TO LAST STOP TIME" button and moving the "ROUND STOP TIME" button. This UI now is honestly the best it's ever been!

thanks for bringing the last stopped time button back!!

I love the app functionality. Been using it for months now. However, tracking 'from last stopped' time has become more cumbersome now. It was easier with one click than dragging it around to see when I stopped the last tracking. Hope to see a fix here!

Pomodoro mode doesn't signal the end of a session

The Pomodoro mode itself is highly valued by many users

I am enjoying the app, but the one thing that is lessening my experience is the fact that on the pomodoro settings, I can only enable sound at the start of the pomodoro and break, but not at the end of it.

add some kind of alarm to pomodoro pls. it is hard to know when itends

no pomo pause

What users hate

The redesigned entry edit screen is harder to use

Time rounding and project suggestions were removed; dates now require keyboard input — simple edits take more clicks

Devs, guys, your 'revamped edit screen' sucks. It became so unwieldy after the last update. Especially, hard to set the beginning of the current time track exactly at the end of the previous. This is the major feature and it became very unhandy

Wonderful app until the recent update. Suggested projects was removed, which has made starting a timer on my most used projects slow and clunky. An option to restore it would be nice, but tough for us who find it useful I guess. The "revamped" time editing tools have become very bad. There is no longer a "round time" button that automatically rounded to the nearest 5 min start and stop, and editin

Toggl has been useful for me in keeping focus on tasks. The new look is sleek and clean. However, it's difficult to "go to last stop time" and that pointing hand doesn't always show. I also have to "round stop time" manually.

The app interface feels cluttered and confusing

Most users just want a quick start and a weekly total, but the app is packed with buttons; the web version gets better reviews

Okay time tracking app, but confusing interface (it's hard to get a simple overview). Requires online sign in. Using a Google account for sign in they will ask for your address among other things, which should be no go in the EU (since there is absolutely no reason to ask for an address for a time tracking app). you can use a simple email address too, but I would highly suggest to use a dedicated

Horrible UI, bloated and confusing. Tries to do too many things at once. Focus on business or individuals not both. Less is more. Uninstalled.

The UI in this app is horrendous to navigate and has an unintuitive layout. all I need to do is start a timer and select the project, and view my daily/weekly hours, but even that is an annoying experience because the UI feels like a haphazard assortment of text and buttons. The web version is excellent, and I don't know why the app is so cluttered and unintuitive. Toggle itself as a service is gr

Timer starts ticking before you've set up a project

The countdown kicks off first; you create the project and client afterward — makes it hard to configure tracking upfront

In app purchases that aren't disclosed before. they just give you a premium trial automatically and expect you to pay for premium after that

I love the functionality of Toggl - the ability to set the time/budget per project & reporting options. My reason for 4 stars is cost. I have a VA agency with a team of 13, 11 if them only use it to track time for a single project each month. That's $130/mo before taxes & fees to be able to set the time budget, track time, & pull a report. I can't do annual because my team fluctuates. It would be

Terrible UI for simple per project tracking. 1) there is no project page to edit projects, such as changing client 2) similarly there is no page to just start tracking a project, instead you have to create a task and then assign it to a project 3) you sometimes can't edit the times for certain tasks, for example calendar ones, 4) there is no way to set repeated meetings to always track and keep th

No way to pause the timer or insert a break

Users want a pause button and the ability to add a break mid-entry without stopping the timer

started using it, seemed good, but now it says I've been logged out and it says it doesn't recognise my email when I try and log back in. I still have clients left to bill and I can't access those records! Also, no ability to pause and restart a project seems like they've missed a trick.

no pomo pause

great except no notifications for finished timers and you can't pause????

No smartwatch app

Users want Galaxy Watch and Wear OS support, plus Now Bar integration, to start tracking right from their wrist

I have been using it for a loong time and was able actual track my time without hitting a payment wall. But If You Could Make A Watch App It Would Be Fantastic and Also add it to The New Now Bar on Samsung Phones Please...

I really like the app. Especially for pomodoro, it would be awesome if it supported the new NowBar and show up there.

A wear os app could help a lot. being able to start and stop a timer from watch

Full history and exports are web-only

The app only shows the current month; all-time reports, data exports, and CSV downloads require the website

I wish there were more time options for reports, I can't see how much time I've spent over the last year because it's either the report for 2026 or 2025. I'd like to be able to see the report for all time or any dates given & not just on the web. Also I wish there was an option in the app to change the time the day starts, e. g. the start of the new day is 4am for example so the entities/goals are

Good app, would be great if you could generate a CSV from the app, rather than needing to sign in to the web version. Also, creating reports with a custom time frame is very fussy -- choosing date ranges is way more difficult than it needs to be.

I needed to check my logs from a few months ago, but the app only shows the current month. Going on the website is really broken as it just says 0 hours all-time logged.

No color or theme options in the app

Many users dislike the purple-pink palette, and changing project colors or switching themes is only possible on the web

using since may 2026. so far so good. maybe they can do a dark mode.

The lack of customization available for the app's appearance makes this app unusable. I can't stand the purple and pink junk. Terrible decision by the devs, the app looks like it would be very useful otherwise.

I'm really enjoying the time tracking features, lack of ads, and charts! So I'd love to give this 5 stars, but: 1) You can't turn off the Billable function.
