An editorial reading of the saved reviews
Fotor is a broad photo editor with restoration, black-and-white colorization, object removal, and text-to-image. For restoring old photos it works well. AI portraits (LinkedIn headshots) are weak: several independent reviews describe results as 'chubby alien heads' or 'cartoons', and none resemble a real person. Skin retouching is excessive and faces look plastic.

What people use it for
People who want to restore old family photos or make a collage, but not for creating professional portraits.
What reviews praise
- Restoring and colorizing archival photos works convincingly.
- Removing unwanted background objects is effective.
- A wide set of collage tools and basic color correction.
What reviews complain about
- AI portraits do not capture appearance: faces come out generic and far from the original.
- Skin retouching is too aggressive and naturalness is lost.
- Text-to-image generation frequently ignores prompt details.
