Rating: AI Species Identifier (Plant/Bug/Animal)

Smart Identifier: Plant+Insect

doubtful rating

People like the idea that it identifies not just plants but animals too, turning it into a family walk in the woods. In practice accuracy is very low, it calls a flower just a flower, a caterpillar just a caterpillar, confuses Texas ranger with English lavender, and returns nothing on spinach, poppy, or basil. Plus after a couple of snaps it hits you with a paid subscription.

About the rating

Low store 3.68 and much lower textAvg 1.47 with 8 percent five-stars. Even the rare five-stars are short and generic (very nice, love love love it), while the negatives are extremely specific, down to a Texas ranger identified as English lavender and a flower called simply flower.
