Recent updates added intrusive ads on launch and an aggressive Alpha section replacing familiar news, noticeably degrading the daily experience.

The latest forced update now has pop-up ads on app start, and ads all over the place. Nobody wants ads thrown at them, we get enough of those everywhere else.
