An editorial reading of the saved reviews

A global messenger with end-to-end encryption that covers the basic need for internet-based communication. Its weak point is mass unjustified account bans with no real support path and reliability issues with video calls.

People who communicate with friends or family abroad

What reviews praise

Works where there is no reliable cellular service and across borders without roaming charges.

What reviews complain about

The ban algorithm triggers on normal actions like messaging new contacts, and recovering an account is nearly impossible.

What users experience

3 excerpts from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.

I changed my phone and tried to move my old contacts to my new phone via group message to tell my old contacts I'm on a new phone and I got banned. That's terrible service now I can't talk to my contacts and I have urgent messages to respond to.

Works great for communicating when normal phone connections are not available.

I can finally call my girls all together because someone has a Samsung while I have a iPhone
