An editorial reading of the saved reviews

A camera OCR translator where the free mode functions only as a demo for selling a subscription. Users report that paid functionality does not always activate, the camera angle is awkward, and ads appear after every scan.

What people use it for

Practically no one. Competitors (including the native iOS camera translator) do the same thing without these issues.

What reviews praise

  • Fast recognition in good lighting.
  • Works with non-standard languages like Venezuelan Spanish.

What reviews complain about

  • The camera does not focus at a normal distance and requires holding the object too far away.
  • Payment does not always activate the subscription, and support does not respond.

What users experience

1 excerpt from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.

Wish this was a live translation. But you have to take a picture and then see the translation. I am using it to translate screens so it is difficult to see what options I should choose since the text does not line up with the location on the screen.
