F1 TV offers what no other service does: onboard cameras for every driver, a choice of commentators, and live race coverage with no ads. For a Formula 1 fan it is irreplaceable. TV casting is technically unreliable, and the decision to move live coverage to Apple TV angered part of the audience.

The app itself works well, and quick access to all cameras during a race is decently implemented, but trying to screencast the race through airplay is genuinely one of the most frustrating experiences I've dealt with. Once you start screencasting, everything starts to buffer, takes forever to load,
