An editorial reading of the saved reviews
A long-running minimalist weight tracker with cheerful reward notes for pounds lost. You weigh in daily and scroll through history. After a major update the graph started showing only monthly averages, the entry step was coarsened to half a pound, and some people lost years of records moving to the new version.
What people use it for
People who weigh in daily and love minimalism with a touch of humor, if they can live with a coarse weight step.
What reviews praise
- Simple and uncluttered, with funny notes like losing five pounds is worth 175 silver coins.
- Scrolling history and daily weigh-ins over years work well.
What reviews complain about
- The update coarsened the weight step to half a pound and cut the graph range to three months.
- Some people lost years of history, CSV export crashes the app, and there is no iCloud sync.
What users experience
3 excerpts from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.
Big app mis-step in removing the ability to add full incremental weights. You were founded on accurate and concise data. That’s what everyone wants managing weight and tracking trends. Yes, we’re only talking tenths of a pound, but that matters.
when I set the daily weight it doesn’t show the whole weight for most of the numbers so I’m sort of guessing what number I’m choosing.
This version won't let you go back to any timeframe shorter than 3 months, so the graph compresses the data points all together. I want a cleaner view of my progress for just the past month.
