Downgrade. Original version of this app (before “bubbles”) was fantastic. This version appears to be a joke. Calling Queen Anne’s lace crepe Myrtle is funny, I guess.

Won't let me save my snaps. 😔

Never correct, not user-friendly. I’m about to remove this app from my iPhone. It wastes my time with wild guesses instead of accurate identifications of plants in the field. I actually do far better by snapping a picture with my iPhone and using the GOOGLE identifier. This disappoints me. I’d like to be able to pull out my iPhone, open the app, and instantly get good identification of a plant species, just as I can get very rapid ID of bird songs around me using the Merlin Bird app. Maybe someday…

Booo. When I first got this app a couple years ago, it was awesome. Now it can’t even identify the most common plants, and says plants are sick when they’re not. What happened? Glad I didn’t re subscribe and sad they let this app go to 🗑️🚮

Always wrong.. I have had PlantSnap Pro for several years. If it ever identified a plant correctly, I am unaware of it.
- ★★★★★identification accuracy
Disappointed. I’ve only ever have gotten three plants right with this thing. Some of my photos were of apples form the store and the app gets them wrong. I live in the hardy zone of 6b and gives me tropical plants for any local pictures I take. The app is all but useless.

It’s a waste of money.. I was constantly running into issues with PlantSnap. It didn’t matter how clear it was or what angle I got, it would miss diagnose every single plant - not even getting near the right plant family. If your dependent on survival and you have a water hemlock before you and PlantSnap shows you that you got a wild carrot, what’s the chance of you digging that root up an cooking it because PlantSnap says it’s a wild carrot? So if you’re a city guy looking to do country things, this app is not for you because if you don’t know the difference you can die. It’s dangerous because of how in accurate it is and it’s a waste of money.****************** To solve this issue get a book for wherever region you’re living in that has pictures and details about each plant you have in question. It needs to have all the stages of growth and a detailed use for each plant, with all the warnings and precautions including look-a-likes and certain smells and odors that comes from the edible version versus the non-edible highly toxic version and it’s characteristics. ************* Do your research, don’t trust some on the fly App!!!************************************

This app can’t even detect a pepper plant. I’ll keep this review short but this app does not work in my experience. I’ve used it to try and detect a few common garden plants like watermelon, pumpkin, and pepper plant. The app will give me 50 plants that it could be and none of them are anywhere near right. I notice that most of them are ornamental plants so I’d guess that’s what this app is targeted at. Either way, it’s not worth spending money on

Has really fallen to a new low.. This app used to work a year or two ago, and I purchased the paid version because of this. At some point they must have just stopped working to improve the app and let it go, because it can’t even identify basic and super common plants like Pothos or Azaleas. In my opinion this app has gone from being one of my favorites to completely useless. I’ll be deleting it after I submit this review.

Disappointing. I have used this app at multiple gardens and around the city Only recognized 2 of the dozens were correct.

Error, error, error. Every time I try to save a type of flower, it says an error occurs.

Complete waste of $$$. I was so hopeful. For me this App is worthless, even if it occasionally get something right. I can use the same image and get three different results. Couldn't identify a Tiny Tim tomato. It is truly worthless to me. Maybe the positive reviews are from users who actually have no idea what the plant is, so they just believe what the App says. Live & learn.

Poison ivy. I’ve taken five different pictures of what I think is poisonous ivy and have five different answers but not poisonous ivy
- ★★★★★lack of plant care details

Crap. Don’t waste your money.. Bought the app years ago when it started. It worked maybe 2 times- other times it didn’t give near correct identification. You can submit your pic for identification but good luck getting an answer. I’ve been waiting years for a few I’ve submitted. I’ve even emailed multiple times over the years and no response. Don’t waste your money.

Not Very Good. I would give this no stars but that isn’t possible. When I first received this app it actually identified a few plants that I knew and was impressed. As time has went on the identifications have been completely off base and it no longer gives me even remotely reasonable identifications.

Wrong answers. 80% of the time, the answer is completely wrong

Continues to disappoint. This app fails almost always to identify plants found in Southern Arizona. Waste of time and money.
- ★★★★★identification accuracy
Doesn’t work. I just tried this app in my yard where I know the name of many of my plants. It didn’t get any of them correct:(
- ★★★★★identification accuracy
Never Correct. This is the WORST plant app EVER! Don’t purchase it‼️
- ★★★★★identification accuracy
Useless app. I have been using this app for over a year now and it identifies correctly only about 15-20% of all plants. And these are not exotic plants, just plants around a typical California neighborhood. I sent incorrect plants for identification and never got a response. Compare this to 90% identification on most other highly rated apps and I still have no idea why I paid for this crap.

Plant Snap.. Geez. This app know close to nothing in the North Texas area. It seems like I’m teaching the app!
- ★★★★★crashes and technical bugs
What happened. Installed latest update and Crash

Waste of money. This is the worst paid app ever for identification. I have given it numerous tries and am using the paid version. No one ever replies when I send to an “expert” for the correct identification. Waste of money.

Doesn’t work. So I’ve been using this the past couple days all over western Oregon and it does not work. If I do it a couple times on the same plant, it always tells me something different. I don’t recommend.

New app is lacking!. I had a very large collection in the former app. The new version is not letting me access that collection any longer. It was my sole purpose fir having the app!!

Plant Snap right about 0.05% of time. 17Dec20: I’ve had the app a couple years. Once in a blue moon it accurately IDs a flower or leaf. I’m not sure why I even keep it on my phone. At least it doesn’t make me jump through hoops to put in a photo in an attempt to ID it. I deleted the Garden Answers app yesterday for that reason.
