   Overcharging. Cancelled a subscription going through Apple. This developer uses a 3rd party payment processor which continued charging my credit card even when I cancelled my subscription through Apple. I contacted the developer and they stated they couldn’t find an active account in my name. Come to find out the 3rd party created an account using an email address that I don’t recognize and continued charging my credit card and not going through Apple. Apple stated they I have to go through the developer even though I never went through them in the first place and went through the App Store. If you research the address that the 3rd party uses, you’ll see a link to the BBB of numerous other people having the same problem and getting charged even if you cancel subscription through Apple

   Deceptive. Says it has a three day free trial but somehow charged me immediately. Deceptive and scammy.

   Charging my account constantly. I downloaded this app to identify one back yard plant we were unsure of, and I have been charged 4x for nothing. I had cancelled the subscription immediately once identified and we can’t get any help to remove the charges.

   Scam. This app attempted to charge me 4 separate times and received no contact from the company. There is no way to contact the company through any other means rather than email.

   Fraudulent Charges. I was charged for their membership three times in a day even though I cancelled my free trial the same day I got it. They got my debit card locked on a Friday and now I can’t get my new card until the following Monday. June 19 Update: I just received ANOTHER notification from my bank about three more charges from them. After reading recent reviews, seems like many people are having issues with multiple charges from them. I literally just got my new debit card. I made sure that my subscription was ended and sure enough it ended on June 12.

    Nothing but trouble. App sure took my money but it never works. No profile page. No way to skip the long intro. I paid for a life subscription and it still didn’t work. And all it did was keep asking me to subscribe. Not worth my time.

    Charged over and over. This app changed me over and over and can not be shut off even after I deleted the app I had the app for 1 hour and still can’t get it to stop charging me. Paddle - the charging company will not even email me back,,and only talk via ai and email. Does not deserve 1 star

    False advertising and didn’t work. Downloaded this app, noted to be free, then advised I will be charged $10/ month starting 3 days from now! App has no indication of how to cancel On top of that, it mis-identified the first plant I snapped. How can I cancel this account????

    Don’t use this app. The trial subscription won’t show up in your apple subscriptions, so they have figured out how to try and trap you and stop you from cancelling. Very unethical.

    predatory subscription model paired with AI slop. This app sucks. They advertise it as free, but you have you can’t use any features until you subscribe to their terrible service, but not before being subjected to a series of unskippable AI slop vignettes of the most uncanny valley looking “people” tending to plants with their phones. Scanner only provides you with the most basic information generated by, you guessed it, AI! Slop app, devs provide can’t even code without consulting AI, worthless app made by worthless and unoriginal losers.

    2 for 8. I tested the photo identification feature on 8 plants: Petunias, Salvias, Zinnias, Geraniums, Lily of the Valley, Basil, Hydrangeas and Creeping Jennys. It got petunias and zinnias correct. I took the picture up close, in good outdoor lighting, with a newer Iphone camera. Deleted immediately

    There’s no way to cancel subscription. They offer a free trial period but there is no way in the app to cancel and no way to access it even in the subscription section in my phone. The email they provided to ask to cancel also is a dud. I’m going to call my bank and dispute because this app is a scam. Do not download. They info isn’t even correct most of the time.

    Subscription charged after canceling during free trial. Beware. I downloaded the app and used it to help. Identify some plants in my friend’s front yard. I knew what they were and this app clearly had no idea. I canceled immediately on the first day of the free trial, however, I was still charged the Weekly fee after cancel canceling my subscription during the free trial.

    Doesn’t work. Didn’t identify known plants correctly. Diagnosed the problem as not enough water. We’ve gotten a ridiculous amount of rain.

    Not free, costs money. Maybe they should put in the description of this app that it is not free. They open up with an option to pay monthly or yearly to use the app. There is no option to click out of this or use the app for free. If there is, maybe that should pop up after having the app open for 10 minutes. Super misguiding, use “Picture This” from the App Store. That’s the app they ripped off to make this one. shame on the Plantaria team.
