  1. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Don’t recommend. I paid for the app and they didn’t registered

  2. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not reliable. The app uses a huge amount of battery life and unless you keep it “always on” instead of “only when using,” it won’t track your mileage and trips.

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not free. Deceptive. Don’t start with it

  4. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Deceptive. No where in any of the descriptions does it say you will have to subscribe after 5 trips for $11/month.

  5. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Predatory. Will not bar you from making trips past the “free 15 trips a month”, so you keep making trips that are obfuscated. Will simply gatekeep your tax information behind a paywall. Thankfully, you can just screenshot all trips and do the math. Do not use, this is a scam app.

  6. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

This app sucks. So i got this because i’m 1099 now, I’ve been tracking my mileage for two months only to find out i have to pay to see how much mileage i used. I got this app to save me money not force me to spend more- also when you’re using gps the navigation from this app keeps popping up and it confuses me while im driving and has almost made me crash because i can’t see my map because it switched to this app- i feel really mislead by this app and i now i have to manually track all my mileage since i can’t afford to see what i’ve logged. Thanks.

  7. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Used to be great. The App development team, unfortunately got greedy and after three months of using the app if he became bait and switch. Now, when you log a trip, it only shows you the first leg, and you can’t see the return trip in the app. It used to be that unless you paid premium, you simply could not view all of your trips and can only view the last 15. But they would all still save. Now you can’t even view your last 15 trips, and when you put new trips in the app, if you make a mistake and Need to change the time or address on the second leg of the trip you can’t because it’s hidden. They’re doing this to force people to go pay $10/m for an app to simply log trip miles, which is ridiculous. Their support has been very nice and responsive however, being nice doesn’t cancel out being exuberant and charging your customers for simple expecting features that used to work, I no longer work just because they decided to change things. I no longer can recommend this app as unfortunately to do anything in it. You have to pay money now and it’s simply not worth it just to track Miles and you could use Google sheets or another app that is cheaper. Part of any typos as I used voice to text.

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Hard. Makes a simple task very hard. Obvious question’s not asked ie what vehicle. Destinations are hard Very small fonts. Lots of useless menus. Manual tracking was just pathetic. Just not a logical app.

  9. ★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data

Terribly inaccurate. Honestly not a big fan. Accuracy is off. It’ll continue recovering for hours after you stop. And then combine it together with the next trip. Contacted support about it multiple times and got nothing but excuses as to why it’s my fault it’s doing that rather than working on fixing the problem

  10. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

It works. it’s keeps up with miles but then they want you to subscribe just use your trip odometer

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Bicycle rides get counted as trips. My daughter is disabled so we bike ride very slowly and Driversnote counts it as a drive

  12. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

what’s the point. genuinely have no idea what the point of this app is, if you have to pay to see all your trips. a monthly subscription? so dumb.

  13. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

NOT FREE. Pisses me off that some apps are free only initially. I was suppose to track my work for a month, now in the second week have to find another app. LAME

  14. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Garbage App. The app freezes about every other time I use it. I have twice lost 300 mile days logged due to getting to the end of my day and I try to hit the stop button and it’s frozen it. I close the app and reopen it and it stays frozen. When you contact customer support , they waste my time with stupid questions and delay tactics. First they try to act like I’ve opened another account with another email address; I didn’t. Then they act like well you know maybe you’ve got it on more than one device like I’m too stupid to know if I’m using the app on another device and that explains it freezing. Or I’ve opened another account. They use stall tactics. They don’t really make any effort to help you. I strongly discourage anybody from downloading it and trying to use it. I gave it a One cause there’s no zero. It is a garbage app and I do not recommend the app. Wet toilet paper is more useful than the customer service department for this app.

  15. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

To many clicks. I use to only have to do 2 clicks now it’s 4. I now have to pull over to do what I use to do in 2 quick clicks. This was not an upgrade! I will be looking for another app that is more user friendly. Just so you know, user friendly means the lowest possible clicks not adding more on.

  16. ★★★★saving, exporting or sharing the result fails

Do Not Download!!!!!. They updated their application and now I cannot see any trips because I am over their “free limit”. I was going to purchase their application but now I will not be due to their predatory behavior. What else are they going to do, add another tier and make all of my other trips inaccessible until I upgrade. I do not trust them and I’m incredibly disappointed in their horrendous update to force sales.

  17. ★★★★slow performance and long loading times

Horrible! Will make you phone slow. Do not use this app if you’re a gig worker. It has to be running to track you and the result is losing all the good offers because this app kills a phone speed. I wondered why my Spark app was slow and freezing but as soon as I turned this app off the Spark app worked fast. This app is taking money and your time

  18. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Not paying $168 a year. Used this app for about a year w/o paying a subscription and was able to see all of my trips. They have all of a sudden blocked being able to see the mileage for any trips after 15 trips per month. With so many other options out there, I am not paying $168 a year just to track my mileage.

  19. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

False Advertising. I’ve been on the Lite plan for about a year, which is supposed to be free for 15 trips per month. Ever since last month, it says my trip limit is exceeded and has hidden my data. I recorded 8 trips last month and 4 this month…last time I checked both of these were less than 15. UPDATE: I just heard back from the developer and contrary to what their app says (that you get 15 trips/month) apparently they have recently decided to change that to 15 trips total…if I could rate this app ZERO stars I would.

  20. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Disappointing!. - Latest update rendered the free version useless - $14/month is way too expensive for this app plenty of alternatives at $5/month - auto tracking drains the battery very quickly and turns the device into a portable heater

  21. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

bad experience. information locked after you exceed a few trips a month

  22. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

After so much love for the app I’m disappointed.. Seriously?? The new changes are a pain. Way to lose users.

  23. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Terrible customer service. App is fine. HOWEVER do not lose track of your ‘annual review’ date- they send you an invoice the day before your renewal date, and if you go to cancel you will find that they have charged your card on file early so that you cannot cancel your subscription or block payment, because your renewal is already in process. Again, this is done BEFORE your actual renewal date. Can’t reach anyone from their ‘customer service’ team (what a surprise!) so the only option is to go through a credit card chargeback appeal. Don’t worry though, their customer cares department will reach out to you once the credit card company stops payment. It’s the only way you will hear from them. Editing to add a reply to the developer: the dispute was lodged BECAUSE I couldn’t reach you. There is (or was? Might be gone now) a customer service phone number listed in the app. Called it, got a message that the number was out of service. My credit card company provided me with a phone number to reach you- that number rang and rang without anyone answering. I DID send an email on that date, did not get a reply. The only reason a dispute was filed was because you charged me in advance of my renewal date, so there was no other way to appeal. You can promote your ‘excellent’ customer service all you want, I certainly haven’t seen any of it.

  24. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Beware. App and beacon just flat out don’t work and they will not do anything to help or fix. Misses entire trips and is more hassle than it’s worth.

  25. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Useless. Unless you are going to only make 10-trips this app is useless unless you pay for the subscription. I am just going to log it into an Xcode spreadsheet myself

  26. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Misleading limits - traps you into paying. I was really disappointed with my experience using the Driversnote app. While I understood there was a limit on the free plan, I was not informed that I could exceed it—only to then have my data locked unless I paid for an upgrade. Typically, a limit prevents you from going past a threshold, not allows you to go over it and then FORCES payment to regain access. When I reached out to customer support, I was met with responses that were not particularly helpful or customer oriented, and no solution other than to upgrade my plan. Instead of offering to be more transparent regarding the terms of the free plan or offering a one-time adjustment, I was met with rhetoric regarding their unclear policy. Even after deleting trips to get back under the limit, my data remained blocked, making the free plan essentially useless. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, which I find misleading and frustrating. If you’re considering using this app for mileage tracking, be aware that once you go over the limit (even unintentionally - and even if you delete trips to get below the limit) you’ll have to pay to access your own information. Transparency is key for free and subscription-based services, and unfortunately, I don’t feel Driversnote delivered on that.

  27. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Removed seeing beyond 15 trips for free with absolutely no warning. Prior to the latest app update, you could see all your automatically logged trips for free, even if you couldn’t run a report on them. That has now been removed. This killed my one use for the app, so I am now looking elsewhere for a mileage tracker. What a shame.

  28. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Was great until they started charging $15 to see more than 15 trips a month. This app was perfect for my needs. I am an eBay reseller so I need to track mileage driven. I typically go to the same places. I didn’t want an auto tracker and with this app I was able to manually put my starting location and ending location. I was able to save the locations so it was very easy to input. For the times I went somewhere new I could enter the stores name and it would find the location through maps and input the address. I typically only have 50-60 trips a month and 200-300 miles max. I was fine with adding up each days mileage and not having access to the reports. I’ve been using it that way for close to a year if not more. Today I realized that I can not see the daily totals anymore & can’t see where I went on the days past 15 trips this month (and all previous months). No warning was given that things were going to change. To be dramatic it almost feels like they took me as a hostage because for me to get this months information I would need to pay $14.99. I refuse to pay ANOTHER monthly subscription, especially $15 a month when I used it in a very basic way. I will input an average mileage for this month into my accounting spreadsheet and will either find another app to use or create my own spreadsheet for mileage tracking.

  29. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Way too involved. They’re way too involved with your information for being a mile tracker. They will not let you do things easily. So dumb

  30. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Not right. I previously paid for the driver's note service in 2024. However, when I attempted to run reports for the period I paid for, I was informed that I would need to pay again to access reports from that time. This seems incorrect, as I should have access to the data collected during the time I paid for the service
