App is ok / don’t try a logon via comp. App is ok / don’t try a logon via comp. It’s just broken. Try and verify my cell and just keep getting error “the field has already been taken.” Been trying for 2 days. Tried reaching out to support waste of time when I submitted the ticket it generated an error and went nowhere. I just purchased wheels for my bike, we’ll see if it works. Hopefully I won’t have to contact support because I have not had any luck. Hopefully I’m wrong but so far no joy!

Used to be better. Here’s overall thoughts of buying and selling for the past couple years with them. Should be able to show just bikes from your country as it used to be an option in settings. Shipping and import of an oversees bike could cost $600-800 alone now, about a year ago it only cost me half that. Pretty overpriced. Selling a bike used to be better with a lower seller fee of about 4% and they would provide free packaging. Now it has doubled to about 8% and they charge $50 for using their packaging. So increased cost but no added benefits. Not to mention if you’re the buyer the “buyer protection” costs has dramatically risen and lots of shady listings be sure to do due diligence messaging the seller. Used to not charge sales tax on parts. Now they do, not sure why that changed. Overall its alright, beats ebay but better to sell locally
- ★★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data
SCAM, Euro to Dollar not accurate.. If you are in North America, it is ridiculous. All the good bikes are overseas mostly. If you want to buy a frame or bike just add $500 to it. $299 to ship plus duties, and insurance. Anything under $1000 overseas ain’t worth it. So the reverse is also true, a lot of users are in Europe and they won’t buy your bike in the states since they have such good deals on the bike already in Europe. Use FB marketplace, eBay, anything else. Also they are taking money off the top on their conversions from euros to dollars.

Too many bugs. This app pissd me off, I just wanna sale my bike.

Terrible platform. Excessive charges on n both sides and no communication. Bike purchased was as the owner described but damaged in transit. Buycycle website was unable to process any requests for assistance. DO NOT USE

Policy is prioritized over customer service.. Great enjoying $99 fee to return my own bike.

Scammer. The app has potential to be so much more, even the best place to buy and sell bikes. BUT it is filled to the brink with bots, and scammers to the point it is impossible to actually tell who the real people are that are interested in buying your bike. Do not use unless you want to spend hours filtering through unwanted messages from scammers.

Horrible Experience. Everything I did to sell a bike for $103 USD was horribly executed by this app, had to contact customer support several times to keep the process flowing and to complain about how several of the steps involved were extremely inconvenient for me as a seller and how the some of the information they provided was completely wrong. I’ve never had a worse experience selling something on any platform. I often had to go between the iPhone app and web app because the two did not always match up and links I received in emails brought me to the web app instead of the iPhone app even though I was on my phone. It’s been a week since the bike was sold and I received a payment that was significantly less than what was supposed to be paid because they had told me the buyer would pay for any packaging of the bike. I was told my ticket was escalated but still haven’t heard from anyone after several days. The whole process feels like it’s automated and done through some kind of AI, including the communication with support, but at almost every step the automation failed, so it just became a nightmare of an experience.

Sophisticated communication filter Stone Age payments system. I don’t normally write reviews but this was the most frustrating app I’ve ever used. Blocks all messaging related to communication without the app. Could not use the payment system. In a word dystopian. Just an awful experience. I am actively hoping that this company goes out of business.

Beware. Just an awful experience. Reached a deal with a buyer. App wasn’t working properly, and his payment was not being processed. He confirmed it was not his card, and I was getting error messages on the app as well, saying “something went wrong” consistently. Contacted support via app, and they emailed me to have the buyer contact them directly. I sent him a screenshot of the email, but needed to copy and paste the email address into the message. The Buycycle app AI automatically thinks any message with an email address or a @ symbol is an attempt to engage in communication off app, which is strictly prohibited. Meanwhile, I was trying to direct him to support as instructed. Next thing, I am getting an account review email, and they are threatening to suspend my account. Might lose the deal because of it now. Use other available apps or sites. This is my first selling experience, and it has been a disaster

Lots of potential but terrible as of right now. The idea behind this app is great but the search function is truly terrible and lacks any good filters. Beyond that the layout of the ads are also far too difficult to navigate. I will stick with Pinkbike buysell. Poorly designed app
- ★★★★★privacy and excessive permissions
Terrible Customer Service and Invasion of Privacy. I have purchased a 3500$ set of wheels through bicycle. It was advertised as good as new. One wheel was delivered with a dent of over an inch in diameter. I started a support case. For 3 weeks I received no response. After three weeks I decided to test the wheels for mechanical functioning and did a ride. I posted results on strata. immediately I received an email from support ( first email I received from them) saying that since I tried the wheels the case is closed. They were not responding to my support case and just waiting for an excuse to deny my claim. They were also stalking my social media and starve accounts. I am filing a chargeback.

Horrible experience. There have been issues with every step in this process! I will begin with the packaging materials. I ordered the buycycle packing material and I received an incomplete box. The box that was sent DID NOT include any material to wrap the tubes of the bike, did not include a box for the accessories, and one of the cardboards sent for the wheels did not have the required hole for the rear cog of the wheel. So, I had to go out and buy a small box for the accessories, buy bubble wrap, and I had to literally cut a hole myself so the rear cog would fit in the wheel cover. Then the next issue was with the shipping label. They sent me a shipping label. Then 2 days later I get an email stating that the system duplicated the label and I had to print and attach a new label. Now we come to the pickup day. I took the day off work and waited all day. No UPS driver was showing up. I then spent over an hour on the phone with UPS and had to finally demand to speak with a supervisor. They finally sent a message to the driver and he showed up very late in the afternoon (5pm). So, I confirm the pickup as required and the message on the app states “now you can relax…” Well, that is not the case because I clicked on track package on the app and it took me to the site where the tracking number shown did not match the tracking number on the shipping label. Then this morning I went to the app to check the status and it now states that the pickup was unsuccessful when in fact it was successful. This has been the worst experience I have had with any company. To compound these issues there is no customer service phone number to call. I have to send separate messages every time there’s an issue and wait 2 days to get a response. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced!

New update broke all current bike sale listings. Updating to ad new features should have been tested quite a bit more since it deleted my bike listings and shows nothing but a broken page when I try to go to any bike sale page. Your new parts and accessories pages work though.
- ★★★★★account bans or deletion without explanation
Cant even get an account. I don’t know how to fix this because I created an account but it kept saying account blocked so then I created a new email but that did the same thing overall just a very hard app to use

Don’t trust this company as a buyer. I submitted my $3300 purchase of bike frame and there was an issue with shipping literally 5 weeks after my purchase was made. The communication was very misleading and minimal from Buycyle. I keep asking about compensation and got 0 help as far as direct guidance or what to do or how to move forward. After a month of trying to find out where my bike is or where my money is the company finally said you have to wait another 4 weeks until there’s no movement or information from the shipping company. Which wasn’t until I threatened about a lawsuit. I made the purchase in June, it’s now Aug 21 and I still don’t have my bike frame or my money. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Terrible support. Your support doesn’t reply both to me and to the seller! The worst support I ever saw in the last years. After few day I got a reply with the promise to provide my seller with the post label by the end of the day. Two days passed and no any replies. I bought the bike on the midday of the 3 of August. Today is the day be of 8th of August and Buycycle is not able to generate a simple post label…

Worst customer support ever. Tried to use this platform to sell a bike. They didn’t list the brand, customer support said use “start from scratch” option. Didn’t work. Asked for city, but there was no field to enter. Did not enable entering the United States as a country. And, more. Reported all of these, and more to support, got irrelevant brief replies. Hence, could not list my bike (which is a shame as it is a fine road bike which someone could have enjoyed as much as I have).

Can’t purchase. I tried purchasing a bike. The final checkout page kept erroring out. I contacted AMEX and they were able to show me the transaction details and how there was something on the buycycle side causing an error. I contacted customer support at buycycle in which they blamed AMEX. So I tried using Apple Pay which also would error out before I could even select a card or any other options. Tried multiple devices and browsers. Contacted buycycle again and received zero response.

BAD. The delivery will took you a year to deliver

Unusable app. App is so unstable and unusable, whenever I input filters like type of bikes, sizes, countries, and etc the starts bugging out and breaks. Honestly you’re much better off using the web version, the app is straight garbage.

Sellers never respond. Tried to buy 3 bikes and they never go through or never get a response from the sellers. Seems like buy cycle doesn’t do anything to remind sellers to remove their bikes if they’ve sold locally or decided not to sell. Ended up buying a bike through a different service.

Poor customer service. Reached out 3 different times about a coupon code I was trying to use wasn’t working. After they found out that all I wanted they stoppped responding. Ive sent 3 emails now and zero response. Poor team members will ruin a company!

Won’t even let me upload pictures. Useless. Stuck in listing creation, won’t let me upload photos of my bike.
- ★★★★★crashes, freezes and errors
Buggy and poor integration. I’ve created multiple listings only to be met with ‘error try again later’ type of message. It also doesn’t auto-punctuate so you are constantly having to capitalize and go back to edit. Just a bad experience and creates too much work.

The seller fee increased from 3.5% to 4.95% in less than a year?. When I listed my bike last November, I specifically asked for the seller fee, and was told it’s a firm 3.5%. Then the platform automatically deactivated my listing on Jan 2025 so I have to re-list it. I sold the bike last week and saw a 3.95% seller fee. I was never informed about this fee increased. The CS told me the the sales fee has since increased to 4.95%…sellers, think twice before you list your bike here.

Good inventory, slow shipping.. 13 day delay between payment and shipping. The box broke in transit and there was a missing part. Took months to track down a replacement with no help from buycycle. They need to fix their shipping problem.

Taking Way Too Long!!. I purchased a bike on Oct. 23. It took Oct. 25 for the seller to confirm. First delivery pick up was missed due to company printing out delivery pick up label too early so the pick up was missed according to them. They admitted on making mistake and there was nothing they were willing to do for compensation. Scheduled new delivery pick up date for Nov. 26. Who knows how long this will take now. Not going to deal with this company in the future.

Very Difficult Return Process. A seriously awesome concept. Super smart and super sustainable. Poorly executed. The bike I received was poorly & incorrectly packaged by seller. With no quality control to double check shipping and ensure the seller did what they should’ve, the bike ($1300 Trek) got very damaged in transit. Breaking off and bending multiple pieces of a beautiful frame. I unfortunately had to return and did not expect to have to do 2x the work as the seller. I was sent shipping material and buycycle handled it to the best of their ability, thank you to their customer service team! The shipping material is so difficult to assemble and as the buyer, I did not anticipate having to do this. Overall, cool platform and cool service but would not recommend purchasing a bike from this app.
