  1. ★★★★paywall and pushy upgrade prompts

I love god but this kinda sucks. Pretty bad but i guess i gotta use it. The questions don’t make sense and the hearts are a bad idea

  2. ★★★★paywall and pushy upgrade prompts

Greed. Don’t like how you took all the items my avatar had and put a paywall behind it. Greed like the bible Talks about. Ironic

  3. ★★★★too much ai, errors and shaky theology

Ai. I would like it a lot better if it wasn’t mostly ai. Also making the lamb character happy shouldn’t be your motivation for studying the word.

  4. ★★★★charges and free-trial trap

TOOK MY MONEY.!. I subscribed to the apps 7 day free trail and it said it would charge me after the 7 days. And so I unsubscribed days prior to avoid paying for the subscription. And either way it took my MONEY! I’m beyond irritated and mad. I literally unsubscribed days prior

  5. ★★★★charges and free-trial trap

Charging. I recently downloaded the app, and it charged me even though I cancelled the subscription.

  6. ★★★★paywall and pushy upgrade prompts

Pushes for money. As a Christian app I feel like it should always just try to push you to buy.

  7. ★★★★bugs: logouts, lost streak and progress

Freezes. The app freezes on the page where it is trying to get you to buy the trail.

  8. ★★★★charges and free-trial trap

Get over. DO NOT buy this they will still bill you if you cancel the subscription!!!!

  9. ★★★★closer to god and bible made clearer

God is good. One day i was just scrolling on social media and saw a video and i was like i need to get closer to god so i found this app that is so amazing and it helps me so much

  10. ★★★★charges and free-trial trap

took my money. I had no money on my card and then as soon as I got money, it took $36 out of my account without permission

  11. ★★★★bugs: logouts, lost streak and progress

Lost my levels. So I woke up today and the app told me I was logged out and when I logged back in I was brought to the first level, I used to be at level 24 all my hard work was gone, my achievements and skins. I have the same account on my phone and iPad and both said the same problem. I’m very disappointed in this app and please fix it for me if it’s possible, warning future users this might happen to your account like me. I feel hopeless to start over again and I might delete it if you can’t fix it. Please help. Thank you.

  12. ★★★★closer to god and bible made clearer

Missing books. It’s missing 7 books in the Old Testament

  13. ★★★★closer to god and bible made clearer

Need Improvement. Please make it so you can join a team with your family and friends. It is a better experience to go through each week’s challenge with people you know. Many weeks I tap on the “Join My Team” button from my husband only to see the notification “you’re already on a team.” So disappointing. I’ve requested this feature and expressed my frustration with support through email but I didn’t get any feedback that they would add this feature. Please make this a thing.

  14. ★★★★charges and free-trial trap

I am crying, you took it away. You had granted three free generated prayers. I was saving my last free one for when I Really need it. I needed it terribly today and you took my last free prayer away saying I Must upgrade. I am crying because you don’t care at all.

  15. ★★★★closer to god and bible made clearer

Why I rate it a 5 star. I rate it a 5 star because it helps you learn the Bible and also got closer to God and help us understand what the Bible teaches and why this certain person do that and why they are doing it, Manna explains it very well for little kids like me to understand what’s going on and why that person did so and so and I think it’s good for little kids and forever one who ones the learn a short story in the Bible.

  16. ★★★★too much ai, errors and shaky theology

This might be a problem. This app intentionally uses strong visual and auditory feedback, including streaks and high-energy rewards, to capture attention and motivate repeated engagement with Scripture in a digital environment designed to distract and pull users away from meaningful reading. While these mechanics are powerful and can create excitement or a sense of momentum, they are not meant to replace genuine devotion or reduce Bible reading to a game. Scripture makes clear that righteousness is not earned through performance or consistency, and users are encouraged to view these features as temporary scaffolding rather than spiritual measures. The ultimate goal is not attachment to the rewards or the app itself, but sustained exposure to God’s Word, trusting that transformation comes from Scripture and the Spirit, not from dopamine-driven design.

  17. ★★★★too much ai, errors and shaky theology

Serious Gospel Clarity Issues (Read Carefully). This app is well designed, engaging, and motivating, and I understand why it has so many positive reviews. However, after carefully testing the Bible Chat with clear, direct questions about salvation, I found serious and repeated doctrinal inconsistencies that cannot be ignored. While the app often affirms salvation by grace through faith, it also blurs the biblical distinction between justification and works. On key gospel questions (repentance, good works, assurance of salvation), the AI gives conflicting answers, sometimes affirming faith alone and other times implying that works, obedience, or “evidence” are necessary to validate salvation. This is not a minor theological difference. Scripture is clear: “By grace you have been saved through faith… not of works.” (Ephesians 2:8 9) “To him who does not work but believes… his faith is counted as righteousness.” (Romans 4:5) Any Bible app especially one used by new believers… must be extremely careful not to introduce confusion about the gospel. Teaching that faith must later be proven by works undermines assurance and shifts trust away from Christ’s finished work and back onto human performance. This app is emotionally engaging and popular, but popularity does not equal doctrinal accuracy (Matthew 7:13 14). I strongly urge users to test everything against Scripture and not rely on the AI for clear teaching on salvation. Until the gospel is presented consistently, clearly, and without contradiction, I cannot recommend this app as a trustworthy Bible study tool. “A little leaven leavens the whole lump.” (Galatians 5:9)

  18. ★★★★too much ai, errors and shaky theology

.. I don't care how many bots yall get to write yall a review but this is a real one. Don't you believe that God's word should be free and that knowing Jesus should be free? Why do u have a plan for "Manna SUPER" and you can only ask the AI chat box 3 questions?? And when you run out of questions of course your advertising to pay for more questions. It's a joke and it has nothing to do with God or Jesus it's all about money

  19. ★★★★charges and free-trial trap

Charged me for subscription. I truly hate this app i uninstalled it and cancelled subscription and it still charged me

  20. ★★★★★paywall and pushy upgrade prompts

Cost. Why do all these Bible apps cost money? There is hardly any for free.

  21. ★★★★★charges and free-trial trap

Charging for free trial??. So the app itself is great so far. I love the interaction and it’s very easy to use and understand so I decided to do the 7 day free trial then pay $34.99 for the year if I continued use the only issue is when I tried to start the free trial it tried to charge my card $16.99. Luckily I had my debit card locked so the charge did not go through but every time I try to start the free trial it again tries to charge the $16.99. Unless I’m misunderstanding a free trial is free and should require no charge up front. I still want to use the app and see if I continue to learn and grow my understanding of the word but I also am not paying $16 or $35 up front until I know I’m going to use it daily.

  22. ★★★★★charges and free-trial trap

Issues. The app is pretty good, but, when I invite a friend to get the free trial, either it doesn’t work, or, it forces me to put in credit card information that I don’t want to use. Also, when I try to log in, several glitches happen and it just doesn’t work that well.

  23. ★★★★★paywall and pushy upgrade prompts

Stop it with the nagging. I don't need some guilt trip messages because I'm not in this app every single day. Getting the nag message after pulling an 18 hour shift is the last straw. Should nag the private equity owners in NYC if he wants people to have free time good grief.

  24. ★★★★★closer to god and bible made clearer

Manna. Meant to give it 5 stars! Manna is great, and I love how it gives people a chance to be more religious and deep into their faith because nowadays not a lot of people are very faithful, and this gives a chance to really be closer to God ❤️‍🩹🎀

  25. ★★★★★paywall and pushy upgrade prompts

Stop with the pay prompts. I struggle with getting into the Lord, and everytime I’m greeted by “pay me this,” I close the app. It’s an ironic way to start getting into God, thats for sure. God bless!

  26. ★★★★★too much ai, errors and shaky theology

Made in China. Based in china Hong Kong to be exact. Not sure how I feel about that especially China being a communist atheist state. They ask for all the important data that can be easily used for bad but that’s every app now. Just unsettling that my info is going to China just to use a Christian game app

  27. ★★★★★closer to god and bible made clearer

Amazing. Extraordinary, this app is absolutely amazing thank you for this app

  28. ★★★★★too much ai, errors and shaky theology

Review. So I’ll start off with some good feedback. I’ll give it two stars and not one because It was a fun app, engaging, and helpful. However, I noticed something that didn’t sit well with me. Not for me because I am free from the religious spirit, but for others maybe not in that place yet. I missed a day in the app. While starting my streak over as a consequence is ok, I didn’t think it appropriate for the notification on my phone to tell me I messed my streak up, by having my lamb sit on fire. This gave the condemning implication that I was going to burn in hell for not being in “the app” (because I was in my word…) and missing a day. Is it really the message we want to give people? “I have to be in my “word” (really the app) or I am going to burn in hell”. I deleted the app. I’ll stick to the youversion app.

  29. ★★★★★charges and free-trial trap

I’m angry. I love the app the idea it’s great and it’s fun but I don’t enjoy that I’ve bought the free trial then a couple days later I can’t download apps no more. And I’ve deleted the app and canceled the subscription so why am I getting tormented by this app every time I go to download an app. I wanted to use it for bible study why they charge that much and say u have to pay before using so ur just trapping yourself bc after that free trial your done unless u got money. If I had money I wouldn’t have gotten the free trial. I would like if this app would leave me. 37 dollars trying to be taken from my account I can’t even buy things anymore cus if I try 37 dollars will be abducted from my account. I also dont appreciate how it’s for people to get closer to the lord but yet it costs wayyy to much doulingo is free unless you wanna buy the unlimited plan not untill the free trial is up.

  30. ★★★★★bugs: logouts, lost streak and progress

Streak. Make it to where you can restore your streak. I just lost a 147 day streak from a nap.
