   artificially limited on phone. I bought this app so I could freely edit my cards without being tethered to a computer. So why are all the complex edited options locked behind a computer edition? Why is the only paid version of the app less effective than the PC?

   Every time I synchronize it deletes all the decks I created. Got the paid version for iPhone, and unfortunately every time I sync, it deletes the decks I created on my phone. It is not set to delete anything, only to sync. I’ve been making updates and want both laptop and phone versions of the deck to be correct, but at this pace I have to make a backup every time right before I sync because I expect it to delete all my stuff. Pain in the nose. Also, set to backup every 30 minutes but goes hours without backing up. And the count of my cards for the deck being created does not show correctly (still shows 14 when I have 30 already). Hoping the dev team works on these things for the paid version.

   Terrible on Mobile IOS. Do not recommend this app for Mobile IOS users. I purchased and downloaded AnkiMobile in my iPhone and iPad but the experience has been nothing but terrible. Interface is not user friendly and very glitchy. New cards don’t refresh daily so I have to wait days to see new cards and the “custom study” option is inoperative altogether. Therefore, I can’t study new cards nor old ones. I emphasize, stay way from this app. And I would like a refund.

    Very complicated app. Extremely complicated app, after I review my flash cards, they disappear and I can’t continue studying them until a specific amount of time has passed. Waste of money I will be requesting a refund.

    Overcharged. Claims to be 25 dollars but decided to charge my account 50. This is incredibly scummy if intentional. Otherwise great app… I hope this is just a mistake on apples part.

    Syncing is terrible. The app refuses to sync, telling me something - but not what - is too large. Doesn’t matter what I delete. For $25 I would expect this very basic functionality to work, and it doesn’t. Disappointing.

    Cannot import or share. For a $20 app the fact that it will populate on the share list when you download flash card lists is unacceptable. In fact it is impossible to import downloaded cards on iPhone and I have wasted an hour trying. Use a different app.

    Not worth it. Horrible interface.. I’ve spent more time trying to learn how to navigate this app than I have actually studying the material I’m supposed to be learning. I don’t understand how the user interface could be so poorly designed. It’s extremely frustrating. Complete waste of time, complete waste of money. I truly don’t understand how this app is so popular.

    This app is ruining my motivation to study. I have spent hundreds of hours making cards on this app. Earlier today, it wiped out a whole lectures worth of slides. Tonight I get on to use it and it has wiped out hundreds of my cards. Almost all of my decks are now empty. I am absolutely devestated. I have exams tomorrow and all of my study material is gone even tho I spent 25 dollars on this app.

    Awful complicated nonsense. Just allow people to go back to a previous deck with a previous format. Why is this a huge problem? Your “support” forums are useless nonsense too with users answering to absolutely no one with no real answers. No help, no simple solution to simple questions and a ton of options I will never use.

    DONT DO IT. this is the worst app i have ever used. don’t pay for it. There are unlimited crown sourced pages on how to use this program and i still can’t find and intro on how to start. I don’t get the obsession with documenting this beast. Back to flash cards. I feel cheated and i want my money back

    No instructions. I’m still struggling to get Anki on my Apple devices even though I’ve paid $18 for the flash cards and $25 for this apple app. Provide easy directions!!!!!!

    This app is awful. I bought this app and found it was not user friendly. It’s difficult to upload your own files for study. Would not recommend.

    The most frustrating app experience ever!. I have spent over 40 minutes trying to figure out how to do a basic task—importing a CSV or TXT file—and NOTHING works. This is easily the most unintuitive app I have ever used. The app references an "iTunes link," which is completely outdated and irrelevant for a mobile app in 2026. For an app that is extremely expensive compared to others in the category, the UI feels 15 years old and the workflow is a nightmare. There is no direct "import" button for cloud files; instead, you’re stuck in a loop of "invalid zip" errors and "EOCD" messages just trying to load a simple spreadsheet. I bought this expecting a premium experience, but instead, I got a headache. Extremely frustrating. I want my money back.
