   Cash Grab. There is NOTHING before hand telling you that its going to cost money. This a ploy to profit off of people like myself, who know they have serious addictions and that something like this could help change their life. A better life should not be paywalled. Anyone who truly had the heart to make an app about HELPING people would understand that.

   Incredibly easy to bypass. On iOS, it’s very easy to simply turn off Freedom’s Screen Time access during a session and regain access to blocked apps. The Freedom Profile VPN doesn’t fully compensate. For example, I can regain access to YouTube in seconds, even with the VPN blocking the domain. I thought the VPN used to be stronger. Freedom is now functionally useless to me.

   Update Broke the VPN. Hello, I absolutely love this app but unfortunately it is breaking my phone because the VPN is now turning on and off and on and off and off and off over and over again and it is clearly caused by this app. Please fix this as soon as possible as I use app on a daily basis.

   VPN keeps toggling on and off. Title. Slowing down internet in general. Have to turn it off so that I can use other apps. Pls fix.

   Great app but BAD bug in recent update. Great app but the recent update is causing the vpn aspect of the app to rapidly cycle on and off repeatedly- which causes me to lose internet every few seconds. I also imagine it has a negative effect upon battery life. Please fix!!!!’

   New update ruined it. I am a longtime freedom user, but its new update has made the app unusable. Ever since downloading it, the VPN has been constantly disconnecting and reconnecting, which disrupts all internet usage on my phone. I will have to cancel my subscription if this isn’t patched.

   The update sucks. This app was great before. They pushed an update and I can’t get out of a session now. The end session button doesn’t work anymore and it got more condescending.

    Blocks apps not intended to. I didn’t even start a session, just created a block list with gaming apps in it and Freedom has disabled my Reminders App. THIS IS THE ANTITHESIS OF HELP AND PRODUCTIVITY!

    Updated: useless; oh so buggy. Updating this to one star. You put a five minute break option in and now this is as useful as the iPhone settings that I downloaded it to replace. I can press that five minute break button all day without really noticing. I can’t set it so that it doesn’t appear. If I could give this zero stars, I would. Y’all should be ashamed of how bad you’ve made this product. The longer I use this app the more I consider switching to another content blocker. I frequently have sessions fail to stop or start because the app apparently is moody? Sometimes the VPN profile just full on breaks because the app will log me out but not tell me. I go into the app and it looks normal until I go to settings at which point it tells me “yes you need to login.” I’m not sure why it’s randomly logging me out but bricking most features of my phone without informing me when it does so is more than a little annoying. The most recent update also speaks to them presumably having fired their usability person because none of the paths within the app are intuitive. Why, if I am updating a recurring session, do I have to hit save and then cancel in order to get back to the main screen? Why is the “create blocklist” button in the location where every other app has a save or approve button? I’ve already paid for this and have my stuff set up, so I’ll probably keep putting up with it, but if you’re newly looking for a good content blocker, you might want to consider not this one.

    Charged me with no receipts. This company charged me monthly for two years and somehow I missed it on my credit card bill. No receipts sent. Be careful.

    Useless waste of money. I used to love this app and their support. I bought the lifetime membership years ago and it worked pretty well for years but with new IOS upgrades I can simply go into setting and screen time and toggle it off. Support has told me this is an IOS issues that renders the app basically useless and they won’t give my money back. Sorry freedom it’s over for you.

    Scam. Tried to cancel trial before I was charged $40. Wasn’t able to. Tried to get my money back through Apple. Wasn’t allowed to. Haven’t had the app on my phone since I got charged the $40. Waste of money.

    Broken. Could not turn off the VPN on iPhone. Could not get the app store. Sometimes has gone horribly wrong. Major failure in managing development or QA. Probably both. Worked well in 2024 and early 2025. I might try it again, probably not. Not on my iPhone anymore.

    Add a monthly subscription option for a reasonable fee.. Only offers $40 yearly subscription or $120 yearly. Don’t bother installing if you want to pay a reasonable monthly fee.

    Really???. This app is somewhat flawed; it is supposed to block apps and websites to help you stop dumb scrolling and be more productive. But it only takes going to the phone settings, opening the app, and restricting screen time access, and it becomes useless. What a waste of $30, stick with the built-in screen time options. Don't waste your hard-earned money.

    Pay wall. Nearly the entire app is behind a pay wall and if you click anything it prompts a promotion for premium, once that’s closed it then promotes another promotion.

    Constantly glitches. The app continues to say it can’t connect to the network when it has already disabled my phone, leaving it so that it can’t be shut off. The only solution is to delete the app and redownload it because even after it’s deleted, the phone is still disabled.

    Charged Anyway. Signed up for the free trial. Canceled before the free trial end date and was still charged for a year. I never even used the app as it was too complicated. Don’t fall for it.

    App doesn’t work all the time. I love the idea of this app however, it doesn’t always work. Right now my social media apps are suppose to be block but they are available. Defeats the purpose of the app if it’s not reliable.

    Utter Garbage. Don’t pay for lifetime. Works once and then it’s impossible to login using any browser. does not work with Windows anymore. pointless and I can’t get a refund. like I said utter garbage. I’m going to uninstall it everywhere and look for a different solution. Their troubleshooting doesn’t work. I’ve tried that and when you email them, you’re supposed to make a video and it replies within an AI assistant. utter garbage.

    New update, new upcharge. They now charge you more money ($39/year) if you need sessions longer than 2 hours. I loved this app, but it sold out to be just like the rest of the blocking apps. I’ll save myself the money and go back to putting my phone in another room to cut distractions.

    It’s not working. I paid for the app and it’s not working. refresh doesn’t work. Nothing is working. If I have to get rid of the app and start it all over then I have to redo everything which makes this app useless to me.

    Confusing UI. I'm trying to schedule recurring sessions to block social media but a) the sessions don't always run when o scheduled them and b) the buttons to select the days of the week is bizarre; it lists the days of the week as "..., Tu...,th,... Sa, Su" Do you have to pay extra to get Mon, Wed, Fri or do these people just not know how to abbreviate?
