   Good lessons, terrible app. This review is about the app and not the lessons themselves. I used drumeo daily and find it very helpful, but the app experience is absolutely unacceptable. Update: they made the app worse. They addressed most of the issues below, but broke the rest of the user experience. It is now difficult or impossible to find relevant lessons, they made video playback speed less fine tuned (jumps of .5x instead of .25x), practice resources/practice files attached to lessons are… gone? The updated drumeo learning method doesn’t even teach beginners how to hold sticks? So if you’re trying to learn drums and have no attention span, this update is for you. Old review: Videos are constantly missing from recent lessons, it’s a piecemeal of things you’ve watched in the past few days rather than an actual history. Too many things you click on in the app take you to the browser version instead, including songs which are no longer no longer supported in the app (browser only). The app is absolutely frustrating and ruins what is otherwise a good learning experience. My biggest grievance is when I hit “Continue” to view challenges I was working on yesterday, they are completely absent from my history. I have to go searching for them to continue where I left off. This happens on the 30 day challenge when I’ve already completely numerous days of them. They just vanish from the history. The app is basically a terrible browser experience, it would almost be better to not have an app. The songs (when they were available in the app and now still in the browser) have some nice features as far as slowing down, highlighting notes etc, but it doesn’t remember your settings so if you have a preference for how to display, you have to reset it for every single song, every single time. The lessons themselves are good, and there are lots of them. All that’s missing is a consistent app experience for them.

   Did not get content I paid for. I paid for a subscription and I never got access to the content. I reached out to customer service 5 different times, got 1 response, and no resolution. $240 for literally nothing. 10/10 do not recommend.

   No Method. I signed up hoping for this great method. Looked so promising. However, they changed their site the day I signed up a few weeks ago and only 3 beginner courses are included in their “methods”. There is no longer a guided legacy learning piano course as they rebuild their site for who knows how long. I have reached out to them by multiple phone calls, email, community forum and receive no replies except from a student who has no clue about the app or site. The community moderator was nice but ineffective and never ended up helping after multiple texts. Very disappointed with the communication and misleading promise of a guided methodology. What a colossal waste of time as they never get back to you. And charge you more than most learning sites. I suggest staying away at least until they get their act together.

   What happened? 1 STAR ONLY!!!!. I want to start this off by saying I NEVER review apps. This is the first review ever. I literally just did a free trial of drumeo. Loved it. Perfect for me as I just got an e-kit and haven’t played drums since college. After my payment went through, the app updated and I am completely lost. I loved how easy it was to get around in the app before. No idea why they changed the format but I wish they would undo it. Where is the drumeo method? Why are rudiments not listed as a category anymore? A year subscription isn’t cheap. Kinda feel that you have an obligation to keep a consistent product if you are asking people to pay that price. Really disappointed.

   New Version is an Abomination. Loved this program and the system until about 48 hours ago. They pushed a “updated” version that is actually a downgrade and have alienated a majority of loyal students to the method. This is no longer a quality experience and you will find it a waist of valuable practice time. Sad story of a once great company.

    Feb. 2025 update. This update has made the app borderline unusable. The metronomes no longer work in the play alongs and often the music will drop from play alongs as well. The programs no longer keep your progress on the video you were on and instead start the entire playlist over. These changes are terrible.

    Songs don’t work in app. Songs don’t work in app and some videos require you to go out of the app and view them in a browser like it’s 2005. I understand if there’s licensing issues but the content shouldn’t be built on songs that can be there one day and gone the next day. If they’re reading this and make changes I’d love to know. Just bought the one year subscription and wondering if I made a mistake with other apps like this out there.

    So hard to cancel membership!!. Only time i’ve ever written a review and I guess it just got me at the wrong time but I am very frustrated. Canceling this membership shouldn’t be this hard! I still haven’t gotten to cancel it as I’m writing this.

    Makes you want to quit. Nothing worse than being told you missed a lesson when you didn’t. The streak thingy is designed to shame you. Your app glitched at lesson 5 and no matter how many times I play it, it says I missed a lesson when I didn’t. Get rid of the shaming

    Pay to use. I wanted to use a free app to learn drums looked for the app that chatgpt recommended me which is drumeo snd all i found was this app and drumeo kids (im not a five year old) but when i opened it up i got flash banged with a subscription and i need it just to use the app and not very fun.

    My Access was reduced. I joined drumeo in 2022 and paid for the yearly membership at $200 a year which was great, lots of songs to play and plenty of lessons to improve my chops. I haven't played much recently but I like to dabble in guitar and piano as well. When I went to practice a song on the piano (pianote, which is included in my Musora lifetime membership), it asked me to upgrade my membership. I paid for a lifetime membership in 2024 and it cost me $1,200 which is a lot for me (and most other people I believe) and not even a year later my access to songs has been restricted since my lifetime membership doesn't count as a Musora+ subscription. It would be an additional $40 a year on top of the $1,200 I already paid. If I had known that I wouldn't have songs access less than a year after purchasing a "lifetime membership" I definitely would not have made the purchase. It feels like I was ripped off and I'll continue to use the app but they won't get another dime from me and I will not recommend the service to anyone I know. Don't give them any money, they can change up your access without warning. It's what they did it to me.

    content great … app does not work properly. been with app over a year. wish i had read these reviews. got misled by overall 4.8 rating. the app freezes. practice feature jumps and freezes. constantly rebooting to get a lesson. no refunds … the support staff is ready not to help but apologize and blames my equipment that is 2024 new ipad and fiber high speed internet. great lessons poor app .. odd way to run a platform… the web version works perfectly…. but the app doesnt even have songs .. only on the web version … but cant play piano on a laptop. hope someone at Musora reads this. but looking at dates of app being poorly designed … i doubt it will ever be righted.

    Drumeo is great. The app on the other hand…. Not so much. Please stop redirecting me from the browser, as the app isn’t nearly as user friendly and doesn’t even support song playback. I mostly use Musora/Drumeo to play along to songs (most of which have been removed, but that’s another story) and having to jump through hoops to just use the software I paid for is very annoying.

    Doesn’t work with AirPlay. Never works with AirPlay, no other apps experiencing this issue. Technical support phone number picks up and is muted, no audio once they answer. Videos often don’t load.

    Trash. This is the worst app I’ve used for learning piano. It’s basically a simplistic wrapper around a bunch of videos. The songs force you to open your browser. It won’t use the microphone to listen to your playing. Compared to Flowkey, Simply Piano, or endless others, this one is quite terrible. It’s sad, because I suspect the actual teachers behind it are better than the other apps, but honestly YouTube is better.

    Used to be good. First they removed songs. Then they removed IOS support. Then they removed the ability to search for newly added songs.

    Terrible support - don’t subscribe. I subscribed for several months for Pianote. They decided to merge the app, and since then I am not able to access my account. Tried to solve the issue through: - chat (just a chatbot) - email (nobody returned) - phone (nobody talked to me) - phone callback (useless) I ended cancelling my subscription.

    Songs Removed With Zero Notice. More than half of the transcribed songs were removed with ZERO notice. Working on learning a song? NOPE! It was removed. No trust in this company whatsoever.
