   Can’t cancel. Beware! I’ve tried to cancel multiple times and it won’t take. I’m going through Apple now. Don’t sign up for the free trial.

   Beware!. Cancelled long before the 1 month “free trial” was up (given to me by a tour company I toured with) but they charged me anyway. Super disappointed.

   Unable to cancel automatic renewal. There appears to be no way within the app to cancel automatic annual renewal once you’ve subscribed. Very frustrating. Either it doesn’t exist, or they deliberately Mae it hard to find.

   Offline maps are buggy. Downloaded a couple of maps from purchase of paper versions. Zooming causes the map to be truncated. Can’t be relied upon. Test before you leave.

   Just terrible. I downloaded a paper map, then zoomed in on it, but it failed to show up. I close & reopen map; still not showing. Then I kill the app, reopen, and finally the map shows on zoom in. Really this app is poorly map. I think I will move to AllTrails instead. OSM is so much better now. Previous complaint: drove to remote location with no mobile phone to do a hill walk. Opened the app and nothing worked: it had logged me out and refused to show my downloaded map. There I was, in the wilderness, and no electronic map! Thankfully, I brought paper map. This app is useless to me if it requires mobile data to operate on hill walks!

   Fails to retrieve country settings. As of 2022-02-08, my copy can’t allow setting up account—with which to add more detailed maps—because “failed to retrieve country settings.” Blah. As of 2022-02-13, now won’t even log me in because “failed to retrieve email server,” or soemthing. My email server is working fine. I am suspecting that this thing only works for people in the UK.

   Major technical issues syncing to iPhone and I Pad. When I originally installed the apps and upgraded to Premium, everything worked fine. I logged out, but could never log back in with my premium subscription, both on the website and on the smart devices. I was finally able to log back on to their website but only by changing my password, which is ridiculous. And when I used the new password on my iPhone and iPad, in both cases I received the message that an unexpected error had occurred. Technical support did their best to help but the issue remains unresolved. There’s another feature of the app that is very annoying (this was before all my technical issues). The screen has a window with the option to start navigation. I only wanted to look at the route, not navigate. Unfortunately this window takes up a significant part of the screen, blocking a large part of the map. For some unknown reason, you can not close this window, and tech help said that the app developers aren’t currently going to change it. All in all, it’s a great app when it worked for me, and most people don’t appear to have had the problems I’ve experienced. I hope that tech people read this and do some more development work.

   No tech support when app fails. I used this app happily for 8 months. Then, the login stopped working. Nothing changed at my end, it just threw up an error message each time. After trying everything (uninstall, reinstall, password resets) I tried contacting OS. After asking me to try logging in on mobile data (no difference) and check my ISP, they stopped replying to my messages. I'm now left with a paid subscription to an app I can't access. Be very careful with this app - it's great when it works but there is simply no support for paying customers when it doesn't. Hugely disappointing.

    Don’t subscribe. There has been a problem with my app for over three months now. It started to work again for a short time when they advised turning off WiFi and using mobile data. But now even that doesn’t work

    Rubbish App. I have bought in access of 50 maps with the digital download option which before they updated the app were available in plain site, now nothing. All I get is a window wanting me to pay extra and take out a Premium Subscription. Daylight robbery comes to mind.

    Partner maps. I find it hard to believe with all the partners listed, that when filtering down to Lake District national park there are no routes with no further criteria selected. It would be of great use if a function could be added for “miles without stiles” routes to be easily identified and there level of complexity for those with mobility restrictions.

    Awful...... The most appalling app. OS maps are obviously great but this is so counter intuitive it's unbelievable. Clearly written by a 3 year old. Can't plan a route, can't save one, no way to start it. If you do manage to enter 2 points it just draws a straight line which you can save but you can't reload. I suspect if you pay for then it's better but I'm not doing that unless I can see it working. Deleted after an hour of frustration.....

    Maps disappear. Outdoors maps are a scam. The 1:50 maps disappear if I zoom in even with lock enabled. Also when I tried to enable “outdoors” I had to pay to use it, so I paid. Only after I paid did it tell me it’s not available. In fact it doesn’t seem to be available anywhere in the UK!!! What a scam. In requesting a refund from Apple.

    Beware. This is a wonderful app but be aware that once you have installed it, it appears impossible to cancel the £29.99 recurring fee. It’s a pity because that spoils a really good experience

    Wasted my money. I cannot believe I wasted my money on this app. I wanted to find some routes near where I live but the search function is atrocious. It sometimes works, sometimes finds stuff miles away or just doesn’t work at all. I planned my own route which in certain places retraced my steps. When I asked the app to track my route it had no idea which direction I was travelling in so no use in telling me how far or how much longer my route was. I so wish I could get a refund and go elsewhere.

    Customer support non-existent. This app is a great tool to have…when it works. The app refuses to acknowledge my premium subscription and multiple attempts to restore purchase have not worked. I have tried contacting OS with no reply. Very disappointed with the service as I have paid for an app that is not fit for purpose

    Latest update broke app. Obviously trying to become a gatekeeper service for a wider variety of services. Fantastic. Problem is that the app now takes well over 20 seconds to load and won’t load the ordnance survey map that I actually subscribed for.

    Version 2.1.1. Why oh why is it so hard to get this right? ‘New’ feature to lock layers - which I’m sure was possible a couple of years back, is now for Premium only. (and I’ve got to download all my maps yet AGAIN after this upgrade!) Otherwise stuck with cached maps on auto zoom which are a mess. Too many map styles used at inappropriate scales. It isn’t difficult, even I’ve done it far better in GIS. This continues to be one of the least professional products that the OS has ever produced. So, I have now tried to download my maps but have only succeeded with 2 out 8. The other downloads crash after a few percent. Useless app.

    Give me a map. Too difficult to simply get a map for a walk. I want a high resolution map that I can download and look at. Can’t figure out how. If it too difficult to find a map on a map app, the app is badly designed.

    Gets less use after each update. Since the most recent ‘improvement’ this ap is virtually useless. OS have emailed apologising for my ‘frustration’ but have done nothing to correct the problems. The maps do not load. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? No maps at all!

    Used to be good but not now. When out doors it cant load maps or requires to confirm email, why? Twice now been unable to use app when out on trips in the country, had to use google maps instead. OS is expensive app that is no longer fit for purpose
