   This sucks. Every time I write the symbols, it tells me I’m wrong because I take my finger off or I don’t hit the dots exactly or I just write it in my own way it’s annoying and it needs to be fixed

   Lessons do not load. I paid to unlock all lessons, but multiple simply do not load (specifically all the odd lessons in level 3), no error message or anything just a blank screen. It’s a decent app that I keep in rotation but I am not getting what I paid for which is frustrating. (Yes the app is updated, I’ve restarted everything, etc.)

    Instructions???. There are no instructions on how to use this tool. Even though I am perfectly tracing the hiragana, it doesn’t tell me whether it’s correct or not. It just shows these two colored dots that don’t tell you anything.

    Love turned to hate. I got this app a year ago and bought the full version because I was interested in learning Japanese. I lost track of it months later and a year later I just remembered it and wanted to continue learning. I remember how to spell a i and e in Japanese and for some reason it doesn’t instruct me step by step on how to spell these words anymore. All I have to do is scribble on the screen and it works. But actually following the outline it tells me I’m spelling the word/letter incorrectly. App doesn’t not to be updated. I’ve deleted and reinstalled. I’ve found better resources so don’t waste your money on the full version.

    Question answer choices overlapping. The questions answer choices are overlapping with the “show hint” button. This prevents any progress in lessons. The developer has not updated the app in a long time and refuses to answer any reports.

    Please read this. Listen I’m not hating on this app but you have to pay for it which is greedy learning Hiragana and Katakana should be free so read my review and let me tell you DONT PAY FOR KANA (hiragana and katakana) when learning this is a great app don’t ge5 me wrong but I have a better resource Tofugu.com it lets you learn both Hiragana and Katakana for free and let you print out a free book which you can write in,get quizzed on past kana, and learn everything there is too know about kana, let me say you wanna try this not this app or any other apps, at least look at what can be printed out to see if it works for you it saved me and now I can read fluent hiragana and katakana:)

    BEWARE. I’m writing this review with extreme disappointment. I paid for the app and now when I open it, I STILL get a blank screen and the lessons will not show up. I wrote “STILL” because I expressed my concerns months ago, so I expected the problem to be solved. I also don’t appreciate the fact that you guys never responded back when I told you what was going on; you sent one email and just stopped communicating. You never fixed the problem, and I will never be purchasing from any of your apps ever again. If you’re reading this, and thinking about purchasing, DON’T. I highly advise you to take your money elsewhere. Have a wonderful day.

    Not much av. First two Hiragana lessons are free then it’s 1.99 for the remainin hirgana, or $13 for all lessons. It glitches out from time to time, but not enough to cause any real frustration. All in all, I’d say just download a picture and use a pen, you’ll retain more information that way anyhow. $1.99 is alot for half of the alphabet and I’m doubtful of it’s overall practical worth versus another more traditional mode of learning, but hey that’s me. In fairness Japanese is hard and the amount of people who want to learn it surely proves a stable demand for the product. For practical application and worth versus a different mode of learning Hiragana only, I give this 1/5. You may find additional value in the more advanced lessons, but I’m not risking the dough.

    Doesn’t work. Was excited to use this app. Got through the 1st lesson and I went to purchase the other ones and it won’t let me. It keeps staring my credit card is about to expire. First, its a debit card, and second, its not even close to expiring. After “updating” my billing info it just keeps telling me the same thing over and over. Tried looking the issue up to see if anyone has had the same experience but couldn’t fine anything.

    I used to love it.. I really used to love this app when I first downloaded it. I purchased the rest of the lessons and was making slow progress. But until one day and it stopped opening for me altogether. No blank screen like others have commented. It won’t pop up anymore.

    Way too hard for a beginner. The first lesson is far too difficult. It expects you to remember the characters far quicker than you’ll actually be able to as someone with zero prior experience with the alphabet.
