Conjugation quizzes. This app used to be a great tool to study verbs. why do I have to pay to quiz myself on other conjugations besides the present? I understand they need money to have to app running & to improve the app but that’s wild to me. I understood only allowing the top 100 verbs to be study and having to pay to study more of them. But conjugations tho.

  2. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

It is not worth paying for.. It does nothing you can't get cheaper (or free) and far better elsewhere. If you see ellaverb's youtube ad -- the same one that has been running interminably for years -- the echo-y audio quality and stilted script equate perfectly to the poor quality of their app.

  3. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Paywalled. I recently downloaded this to help me progress as an intermediate learner. After less than a week, an update put all the current lessons I’m working on behind a paywall. The basic free lessons have nothing to offer me.

  4. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Difficult to know where to go. I find it difficult to navigate

  5. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Expensive for limited functionality. Unfortunately, this app doesn’t provide enough evergreen content to warrant a monthly subscription fee. It does one thing, reinforces Spanish verb conjugation.

  6. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Good but limited. App tends to use same verbs some of which are not useful ie morir. How many times do you have to conjugate “to die or to sleep” ? Would be better with more useful verbs

  7. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Quality issues. Fun app that could be good. Sadly it includes obvious mistakes in Spanish, causing you to learn the wrong thing. Such as insisting “you sing” is “canta” (instead of “cantas”) in its very first quiz! 🤯

  8. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Text is small and hard to read. It would be nice to change the font so the text is readable

  9. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Useful tool but... User interface is tiresome, no cut and paste and search ability is weak to annoying.

  10. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Ok. I like the fact that it’s an app so it’s conviene to take any where but it’s no different than having a book and self teaching.

  11. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Muy Bien 👍. I seen this app on a YouTube add. It said it was free, so far everything is free, and very helpful for me. I have a difficult time with conjugating verbs, so it’s giving me a lot of practice and is helping me learn new verbs at the same time.

  12. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Good app. I enjoy this app. It would be nice if it just played the next part rather than having to manually select it. I like it though.

  13. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Amazing. Great for learning the language, it was surprisingly helpful in conjugation. Periodt!!!!

  14. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

One issue found. Sometimes response is a null just orange type - no correction dialog.

  15. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Great all but issue w/ custom practice. App is fantastic for learning verbs. However, the custom practice feature doesn’t differentiate between you (tú) and you (usted) when prompting conjugations resulting in confusion and frustration when practicing new verbs.

  16. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

No instructions. There’s no one there to help if you don’t understand something?!?

  17. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Review. Helpful content look forward to completing and mastering fluency!

  18. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Just verbs - no distractions. Verbs are the hardest part of learning Spanish. This app gives me a chance to concentrate on just verbs once a day without a lot of other stuff to think about.

Conjugation, not Comprehension. I would like to say first that this app is a WONDERFUL tool for beginner and intermediate students of Spanish that are trying to work on their conjugation skills (especially with the subjunctive mood and compound tenses); however, this app focuses almost exclusively on learning common verbs and their possible conjugations. That is to say that this app isn’t built to teach how to form proper sentences (outside of a few examples provided in the explanation at the beginning of each section), nor does it focus on pronunciation or grammar. As a side note, I am an advanced speaker of Spanish with a B2/C1 certification, and the app still considers me an A1 after several days (even though I am nearing the last milestone). Overall, this is a decent app for learning conjugations and vocabulary, but I would stick with Duolingo for a better understanding of the language holistically.

Great. Great app I love it I’m Dominican And American Learning Spanish For The first Time and This app Is Very Helpful

  21. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Worth It!. Verbs are boring and kind of a PITA. But you gotta be able to conjugate ‘em. This is a pretty pleasant and well thought-out way to do so.

  22. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Verbs ar er and ir.. This has really made me think

  23. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Great!. I’ve been looking for a great way to improve my conjugation skills and this app has fulfilled what I need. I love it, but the only thing I would suggest is a section of example sentences similar to how they use the chart for all the conjugations.

  24. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Almost Perfect. I’ve been looking for an app like this for years. My Spanish has always been stunted by me only being able to conjugate in the present and some sometimes the past. This app actually teaches me within minutes the proper way to do things. I’ve tried books, videos, you name it. It is well worth the money. Ella Verbs is the only thing that has worked for me the best. The only complaints I have are that I wish there was an option to leave the answer on the screen longer, and that you could miss 2 questions instead of one on the 30 question tests. I understand the tests are to make sure you know before advancing, but I feel like one question is a bit too much, especially when there is a slight typo sometimes. Thank you for this wonderful app!!

Great App. This seems like a great app to review Spanish.

wonderful app - today felt like a miracle. Today, I finally felt like I could Level Up to Level 7. Before I started this app, I was afraid I’d fail with Spanish no matter how hard I tried. I was so intimidated by Spanish verbs in all the other apps (and in books), that I didn’t think I’d ever be able to learn the language. But I downloaded this app, and began using it, despite my fear. So Level 7 in Ella Verbs may not sound like much, but for me, it’s an accomplishment I thought I would never experience 😄 The lessons and quizzes have enough info to teach me each new step, but not so much that I’m overwhelmed. These developers have somehow figured out just the right thing to do at exactly the right time to help me learn, and understand what I’m learning. I’m very grateful also that in Ella Verbs I can select the choices for European Spanish (using vosotros and usted), etc., as this is important to me 🇪🇸 But for those preferring Latin American Spanish, and others, those choices are available as well 🇲🇽 I’m even starting to think maybe someday I’ll be able to progress to reading novels and news in original Spanish!!! All because of this app 🟢 As an example, I’ve been interested to note that my free Duolingo lessons are much easier now because of the things I’m learning from Ella Verbs!!! 😃 I used to muddle through the Duolingo lessons with a lot of questions in my mind and real confusion on why and what to do. But now that I’m using Ella Verbs every day, Spanish is beginning to feel more natural, not only on Ella Verbs, but elsewhere as well.

Fantastic App. I take lessons from an in person maestra and adding Ella Verbs to my study routine has help enormously. I often use the web version. They have some amazing resources there if one prefers to use a computer

  28. ★★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Literally the Best. Honestly, when it comes to learning verbs, there’s no app as good as this one. The ability to work my way through each level, review decaying tenses, and practice both the verbs through flash cards and conjugating them through lessons is awesome.

  29. ★★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Amazing app!. This app is outstanding for building skills with verb conjugations and learning the definitions of hundreds of verbs. It is very customizable. You can create short quizzes or long quizzes, and you can focus on specific conjugation types. Also, the developers are VERY responsive to feedback. It has been an excellent complement to the other methods I use to study Spanish.

  30. ★★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Spoken feedback. I like the immediate spoken feedback and the chance to do instant review. I need it!
