    App size is huge. The size of this app keeps increasing with every image or video you receive. There’s no way on the iOS app to limit storage or tell it to delete only media automatically. If the developers don’t come up with a solution soon, people are going to start deleting Signal.

    System failure, no backups. I use this app for work. We have multiple group chats throughout our teams. All I did was update my phone and suddenly the app said that it was no longer able to open and couldn’t download any of my previous chats. The only way to get your charts recovered, as if you downloaded a recovery key that is only located within the Signal app…. No IT support. I would suggest using WhatsApp instead.

    literally no tech support. i got a new phone & wanted to transfer my complete chat logs over to my new phone, but the scale in my old phone is messed up so my front camera is effectibely broken, meaning i cannot scan the QR code to transfer it over. so i subscribe to the $2/month full backup, and attempt to do the 16 digit transfer code, but despite being currently backed up & fully updated on both phones, the 16 digit code just instantly errors out, not even any load time. so i send a message to tech support, and i get an email back linking the FAQ for backups (which I'd already read), and then didnt respond when i responded saying it didnt work & that it was time sensitive (i have to return my old phone for some reason), and they didnt even respond when i sent a new inquiry via the signal website. so im just going to lose years of chat logs i have sentimemtal attachment to & they cant even be bothered to tell me "hey im sorry but we cant help you, bc of x reason."

    Holy static. Used to love signal. No issues then there was an update at some point a few months back and now every phone call has so much static for absolutely no reason. Getting very frustrated

    Terrible Transfer. Absolutely ridiculous how hard it is to transfer your messages and contacts to another phone.

    Stop asking me to rate the app!!!. I gave this app 5 stars already but getting stopped at least daily if not multiple times a day for the same pop up is extremely annoying. Especially after I already submitted a rating only a few days prior. I will continue to give this app 1 star if the pop ups don’t stop!

    App broken. My signal app after being un accessed for multiple days froze and crashed on me, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Now I’m going through the process of signing up again, note I don’t have my 64 digit key, oh well really don’t need my back ups but I skip that and it goes in a constant loop of the are you human captchas and then just says error over and over

    Cannot retrieve deleted data. This app has deleted my conversations and crashed multiple times on me and at least once on many family members for no reason. It deletes all conversations and photos etc and cannot be retrieved. It’s been pretty upsetting to say the least. I guess it’s the price of privacy?
