   Do not download this app!. Keepsafe decided to update itself and now everything is a mess. The whole UI changed, there’s things not in the order I left them in and I’m pretty sure I just lost thousands of photos/ videos. (I can’t tell for sure because now the albums don’t give a count of how many photos and videos are in each one). I’m assuming I lost a lot of items. I have the premium membership and had 10,000+ items backed up. But I had more than 30,000 items total. So more than 20,000 potentially lost over an update I didnt even want. Half of the items that are there are blacked out and say they cant be loaded. What is going on here?? Update: I deleted a lot of pics/videos (that Keepsafe refuses to load, so I cant view them anymore anyway) but now suddenly all that space I freed up is now “taken up” although everything I deleted is still gone (not in the trash either). Not only that, it’s somehow taking up MORE space after I deleted thousands of items that would no longer load. Make it make sense!! This app has gone all the way downhill since last year’s overhaul/ update. Time to look for something else.

   Keeps Crashing Even After The Last Update. My Keep Safe app worked great for years. Then about 1 month ago I was obligated to give the app full access to my photos. Then every photo I uploaded was stored in cloud. So I turned that option off. Now my app crashes every single time I open it. I restarted my IPhone 17 Pro Max, offloaded the app and reinstalled it, submitted numerous queries to customer service and was told to wait for the update. I did. I was very hopeful the problem would be fixed. But to no avail, the app still crashes when I open it. So I literally have thousands of pics that I cannot access because the app won’t stay open long enough to do anything. I’m disappointed and will be using another security app for my photos.

   Sucks; clunky. I don’t like that I had to subscribe up front to even use the app. No free trial without signing on to pay after 3 days. I tried to pull photos in and it couldn’t recognize my ok library to even pull photos in to start. Happened multiple times, so I closed app, deleted it, and now writing this review. 👎🏿

   Absolute garbage.. Absolute garbage. Keeps crashing constantly when you try to transfer photos to your camera roll. Try transferring anything more than 6 photos at a time and it’ll crash. Back-up randomly stops and doesn’t back up for hours before continuing to back up again. I’m infuriated because I already put all the photos I needed hidden in it and now I can’t get them back into my camera roll without wanting to break my phone.

   WHY KEEPSAFE!?. Definitely loved the app, until one day I log back in and the app changes, new look, looks great etc etc, but all my previous photos I uploaded erased with no trace, please lmk if this is a bug or if it’ll get completely removed

   Only problem. I been using KeepSafe for a couple years now and never had an issue. Now everytime I use open it, it randomly closes the app in 10 or 5sec after opening. It’s been like that for over a month and I’m afraid to lose my files

   So Buggy. The amount of bugs I encounter that prevent me from even using this app is so frustrating. Pop ups (for your new private web browser) where the buttons are non responsive and I can’t get past it. It won’t load my photos when I want to important them. This app is poorly designed and poorly supported.

    Account. My original account was no longer accessible due to retirement. I supplied my new email but the response from Keep safe was “there was nothing that could be done e to transfer the old account to a new one!” Now all my old archives appear to be lost when I can supply simple info to verify my old account. Very unacceptable.

    Lost!!!. After an update I unfortunately lost all my stuff. And after weeks of contacting and “promise” of being able to retrieve my missing content they failed. Do not trust them with important memories.

    I lost my account.. I have a paid Keepsafe account that I set up using a Hotmail email address I created over 20 years ago. Now that I can no longer remember the password, I have lost access to my account and important photos—yet I am still being charged.

    Canceled before trial ended, got charged anyway.. Beware…. I canceled the trial of this app’s subscription service before the end date. A week went by and then I get a charge from Apple anyway. I reached out to Apple for help and they refused to help and refused to refund.

    New version sucks. This app used to be awesome and now a new version was pushed out and the albums take forever to load upon opening and then when you go into an album it’s hit or miss whether it actually updates. Went from being a 5 star to a no star app

    KEEP PHOTOS SAFE, they say. The app’s main purpose… or so they say… is to keep photos safe. But they don’t actually have the backbone to do so. I was kayaking, and my phone accidentally fell into the water, lost forever. But I wasn’t that worried about it. I had it backed up, everything. I wouldn’t lose anything more than an iPhone. I was able to restore everything back to how it was before. Except for the most unreliable app I owned. Keepsafe. My biometric login didn’t maintain after the new install on my new phone, restored from a cloud backup. My PIN number didn’t save. That was how I logged into the app for so long, that it had slipped my mind that it was associated with an email address that I no longer used. But that email had been deleted permanently. I reached out to Keepsafe, whom I trusted to keep my photos safe, and I guess they are safe, in the way that something is safe in a vault at the bottom of an ocean, they’re safe and unattainable. But their customer service was so helpful! Actually not. After getting a lecture on not having a secondary email set up, and taking themselves way too seriously, I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. Which objectively is not true… there is just nothing they are willing to do for me. Because keeping photos “safe” is what they do, even when it means keeping photos away from the person who owns them. So in hindsight, I should’ve chosen an app that uses common sense approach, and let’s account verification be handled in multiple ways to actually have customer service. Because right now there is not any service. Just complete coldness from the team, and an unwillingness to help in any way. So yeah, trust them with your secret stuff. Just know that they get to decide who has access to it even if that means that you don’t. Horrible horrible app. And even worse people.

    Images are lost. I have backed up picture from years ago and they don’t upload anymore even after backing them up and erasing the app and downloading again. Very disappointing and sad to lose the photos

    Rude Support! Deleted videos by themselves!. I’ve tried to contact customer support but they told me that they can’t do anything about my photos/video that were deleted. Mind you I didn’t delete them, if I did I wouldn’t be begging them to get them back. All I got was that they were deleted on April 20th,2026. It hasn’t even been 30 days to get them back! It shouldn’t be a problem sense THE APP was the one that deleted them. They ask for my location and can’t even tell me where they were deleted from. I been in a toxic relationship and there was a video there showing proof of how that person was with multiple people(its personal I know but I was hoping for a little compassion from them) my backup were turned on and still can’t do anything about it! Got no help other than a dry no explanation answers

    Bad Syncing lost me lots of photos. Not very happy. I got a new phone and downloaded keep safe on it. I always have backup/sync enabled with everything backed up. The new phone only synced about 10 photos in my main album. The rest were blank squares or photos that wouldn’t load past thumbnails (failure to load image). I let it sit for hours. I tried reinstalling to no avail and even installed the app on another phone and that device only synced even less pictures and nothing more. At this point I’m exporting what I can and cancelling and using another service.

    HORRIBLE never backs up anything. this is the second time that I’m getting a new phone and syncing everything to my new phone and not everything is sinking as it should I’ve justice in the past and they’ve disregarded my issues and never assisted me with my deleted files that I was never able to recover

    Doesn’t work keep crashing. Been trying to add my photos and videos for 2 days . Every time I try the app just says it can’t do it . Gets real annoying . I don’t think anyone has renovate to ope this app 20 times and still haven’t been able to transfer any files
