   Useless with lost dog, impossible to cancel. This app will fail you when you need it most, give you an infuriating run around when you try to cancel, and demand real time access to your precise location the entire time. This isn't an app it's malware

   Fi turned into Spyware. After a couple of weeks, Fi won’t let me use any part of the app unless I keep location tracking (always) and Bluetooth on. I feel victimized by a bait and switch, since there’s no need for those to be active in order for me to monitor the dog’s location, even when out of town. The only reasonable explanation is they want to sell my data. shame on you!

   It doesn’t work. I got the tracker to activate but it wouldn’t let me subscribe to a membership. It kept giving me an error. I tried resetting the tracker and base but nothing worked. The AI support bot was useless. I don’t how this app has so many stars because it doesn’t work.

   Used to love Fi. I used to love Fi. But I’m apparently getting charged $200? And they have designed their app in a way that makes it utterly impossible to figure out where the heck the BILLING section is!!! Obviously they’re being sneaky here because they don’t want to make it easy to unsubscribe. This is downright gross behavior and should be illegal. I am close to filing a complaint with the BBB.

   Be careful.. Only a very small number of countries can use this app. I bought the Fi 3+ device through Amazon and when trying to connected my country was not allowed to use it. So if you live out of the US, do look into this matter before you buy. This should not be small print. Fi should be more clear about geographical restrictions and how limited it is.

    This app will kill your pet. If you care about your outdoor cat, don’t even trust this company for a second. They are absolutely lying about the battery life, they lie about how frequent it updates, and the device goes “offline” multiple times and even for hours sometimes, which unfortunately is how you end up finding them in a bad situation with zero updates. This will get your pet killed.

    Just put an Apple AirTag on your dog’s collar and stay far away from this. Predatory, invasive, hard to cancel. They advertise a free month trial but if you don’t turn that into a full subscription you will have to ship the collar back — aka not truly FREE, because you will have to take time and money to ship it back to them. Also, get ready to be bombarded 24/7 with emails and push notifications from the app, constantly asking you to turn on Bluetooth, share your location, this that and the other thing. Overall bad experience with this. Just put an AirTag on your dog’s collar instead.

    Requires phone location 24/7. Started and ended my membership within 10 minutes. Requires your phone location to be on 24/seven, and per their own privacy policy they sell this information to third parties. false advertising as a standalone GPS tracker, this should be illegal. And I have to pay to return the device now that I’m canceling the membership. DO NOT PURCHASE.

    Does not work. Really unreliable tracking. Sometimes it works, most times it does not. It also forces you to track your location on your phone to track your dog. They also bill you for products you did not intend on buying.

    Great app getting worse. Please stop adding new features that make the app painful to use. I don’t want 10 notifications an hour. And I don’t want to be given messages every time I open the app. I just want the app to open! Revert back to an old version please.

    Requests unnecessary location access. The app refuses to open without being granted precise location access, which is certainly not required to show where my pet’s tag is nor show me basic health information like step count or activity.

    Money grabbing scam. The hardware is bricked and local Bluetooth/WiFi metrics are entirely paywalled. I was hoping to still be able to use the collar for things like steps and overall health data, but you can't even open the app (or look at past metrics from when I *did* have a subscription) without paying for the LTE subscription. My dog is a senior now and has had 2 ACL surgeries. He's not running anywhere, much less away from my house. I thought I'd be able to use the app still with BT/WiFi connections, but that is not the case. Now I just have an expensive collar collecting dust.

    Customer service goes a long way…and Fi lacks it completely. This is my 2nd Fi collar; Fi Series 3+. And let me say, it has been a let down from the previous version. This collar and base has not been right from the moment I set it up. It will randomly tell me the dog has left home while I’m at work. It shows him miles away. It is connected to the same WiFi and set up the same way as the previous collar. The battery life is horrible. And when you reach out to FI, the just pass the blame on to you. It’s your WiFi or where you have it set up. And for that I will never recommend their product again. My dog trainer was a big supporter after I was the first one to have it in our group (1100 people in our dog training group) and I’ve now recanted my support for them in the group. I liked the app and the product but this collar is useless and customer support is even worse. FAIL

    Why does it ALWAYS need my location access?. I do not have a pet of my own that uses this tracker. A family member uses it for their dog. The app will NOT let me use it UNLESS I give it full access ALWAYS to my location. That’s actually insane. There is no reason an app should ALWAYS need my location in order to function. Why am I unable to view my family member’s pet unless the app has full, ALWAYS access to my precise location? I’d give zero stars if I could just based off that and I now will never purchase one of these collars for my own pets. Tomfoolery.

    Good collar, good service, app problem. I like most of the Fi system. The collar is light and has been reliable. The insights maybe aren’t the most accurate. But it provides some use. The app has a massive problems: battery drain and resource usage. I’ve had to take this app off of my main phone because it appears to contribute to my medical device apps having issues. Because of this, I can’t recommend this collar, service, nor app. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to report issues without going through their AI chatbot, which only serves to be frustrating, not helpful.

    Privacy nightmare - violates app store guidelines. This app requires excessive privacy permissions in order to operate. There is absolutely zero reason for this app to be tracking me so privately when the purpose of the app is to track animals. I understand it may be useful to combine intimate phone location and motion data with your pet tracker, but that should be an opt-in feature. It’s a miracle app review let this app through - this should have been rejected for violating 5.1.1 of app store guidelines. If I want privacy, I have to manually change the privacy settings every time I use the app to avoid excessive location and other tracking.

    My cat tracks better. In the rare instance, I can even open the app. It generally is such a large field view that I can’t possibly track where my dog is going. It is often time double the size of the actual border created and I live on 5 acres of forest. I started looking for a product that can actually show me where my dog is going.

    Waste of money, buggy code, doesn’t work. I find this a waste of money. There are error messages constantly it consistently tells me I’m in a state that I haven’t been to in over a year, poor customer service, and is not a good use of your money. I would not recommend this to anyone.

    Waste of time and money. This is one of the biggest waste of time and money I have ever put any energy into such a faulty. Piece of equipment doesn’t want to connect. Doesn’t want to connect to Wi-Fi. They send it to you with all kinds of wrapping on it, which is ridiculous because it’s for a dog not a child. Don’t waste your money. I hope this review finds anyone even thinking about it and this helped you decide not to.
