   unusable. recently, app has been stuttering a lot when i open it, incredibly slow when opening a picture, and slows down my whole phone. unusable in its current state.

   Unbelievably bad. For those giving this 3, 4, 5 stars, what are you smoking??? Snapseed is so outdated, even in 4.02, that it can’t even handle an iPhone DNG raw image shot on the same phone it’s being edited on. It’s pure garbage that should either be modernized or withdrawn from the AppStore. If I were a Google employee I’d be embarrassed my company had its name on this product. I’d give it 0 stars if I could.

   Used to be the best photo editing app available.. Update June 4 2026 Been using this software long before Google owned it. It was great. It still was pretty great however, please stop messing with the interface. The new interface is hideous. It doesn’t need to be all fancy and doctored up. It just needs to be a flat out. Give us the tools and stop messing with it. The update slightly have been very underwhelming. It’s confirming a very serious and useful photo editing app for many many years, to something that seems almost comical with its interface now. Update:7/18/25 Now the newest update crashes when saving. Just give us back the original version, before this pathetic “major” Update. The new Ui is terrible and hardly usable. Leave it to Google to screw up another great piece of software. Another Update: The more I use it, the more I despise it. How could you take something that was so great, to something so pathetic. Every time you save, you can’t go right back to continue editing. Google and their greed for you data, when you save it take you to the “ we want full access to your photos” screen. Update: I’ve been using since before Google bought it. I’m glad you’re giving the app some attention, but the new layout is horrendous! It’s too busy for a phone screen. The side up is way too big, an over uses of numerous fonts. The favor bar at the bottom should just slide with all the tools. The flashy start up is dizzying. We don’t need pictures showing us examples of the styles, just takes up way too much of the screen. I know you’re trying to to stay relevant, but greatness of Snapseed is / was in its simplicity. Also, will NOT give FULL ASSESS to my photo library. With that requirement you sure can tell Google owns it, they always want access to everything! This app has been my "go to" since downloading it on first 3GS. And since then it's always been a really good photo editing app. Since the 2.0 update it's become a great photo editing app! But..... with version 2.04167 update it removed a very useful feature. Before the update you could paste a new image on the open photo screen, hopefully the will be reactivated in a future update.

    I don’t give one star reviews, but urgent patch needed. I’ve been a user and spreader of the gospel-Snapseed since before Google acquired it in 2012… so, at least 14 years? With zero hyperbole: This latest update rendered it totally broken for raw format. There is something very wrong with with the way files are loading: unusably high contrast & wild saturation. No ammount of slider tweaking (from what claims to be as-shot) gets a usable result that doesn’t look like an homage to lofi Andy Warhol. My raw files are from an iPhone 17 Pro.

    BEEN USING FOR YEARS. BEEN USING FOR YEARSSS LITERALLY PUT EVERYONE ONTO THIS APP BUT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. STOP UPDATING IT! IT WAS PERFECT. NOW I CANT EVEN USE IT. I GO TO PUT A PHOTO IN AND IT AUTOMATICALLY CHANGES EVERYTHING. So sad i have to look for a new app

    The update ruined Snapseed completely. One star for the 4.0 update! My review used to be 5 stars but this new update completely destroyed the app. All the photos I put through Snapseed now are muddy before I even start editing. Worst update for an app EVER!

    Profoundly disappointed. Your recent update must be some kind of joke. I feel like I’m in a game. The best app at one point is now garbage. It’s disgusting.

    New update has ruined a simple and effective photo editor. Snapseed was largely unchanged for years and with good reason, it was easy to use, and had a clean, simple interface. Then they rolled out a new update. Took a bit of getting used to, but I was still using it. Now it’s awful. The burn/dodge tool used to be one of my favorites. Now I tried a dozen times to use it and every time end up with a huge swipe of burned area across my image. I don’t know what they were thinking, but I don’t believe I’ll be using it much longer.

    Another bad redesign. Second time getting a redesign, this time they tried to make it more “trendy”, with brilliant ideas like making the loading animation be rolling eyes, using neon colors, and more. I’m still wondering why are you “fixing” something that isn’t broken. It has that “UX designers pushed by people from Product who have no touch with reality” smell.

    Latest Design Not The Move. Latest design update is awful. Much less intuitive, looks childish, and much slower. Have loved this app over the years but this last change is not the right move.

    REALLY hate the new design!. I do not know what the Snapseed team was thinking when they took a very elegant design of an app that has been amazing for the ten or twelve years I've used it, and then turned it into an app that looks like as clunky as ipad apps looked in 2010. The worst part is that everything takes up way more space now so the photo appears smaller on the screen while you work on it. Everything used to live in a half inch strip on the side but now it takes up like 2 inches, plus it also has stuff covering the bottom inch or more of the screen. Who the heck thought that would be an improvement?? Previously, the gauge that showed the changes, was a nice, simple line that took up barely any space…now it is replaced with a gigantic rainbow shaped gauge. I do not need to see it that big to confirm if it's what I want. I would rather see my photo and what that looks like! This new version is horrendous and I hope the developers will dial it back a lot to at least give the photo more space to work on it. Go back and take a look at how it was and make the photo at least that big. I never would've updated to this, but I got a new ipad so I was not able to get the old version back, but I would if I could. Please tell me there's a button I missed somewhere that allows me to get the classic Snapseed back!

    Totally awful.. Totally awful but decide by yourself. When you have an iPhone that only goes to 12mp in resolution you don’t mind it but supposedly, newer iPhones go up to 48+mp and only to be reduced in half or more by the app that you use to edit with. (Snapseed is one of them). What is the point of adding more features to the app if the users cannot use full resolution on their photos? What’s the point of making a sensor that can record light up to 50, 60 or 100 megapixels if portrait mode only records 24 or 12? But that’s another story. What a bunch of lying insincere companies.

    WTF HAVE YOU DONE!. Barn this is one of the easiest and best photo editing apps out there, especially when used on the iPad. But I just did a system update on my iPad and it must’ve triggered an update for Snapseed. The new format is terrible and when I go to save my photos in a square format, it saves them in a vertical cropped manner. Why would the developers of this app change everything that was good about it before. I knew so many professional photographers who would use this app when working on their phone for personal work. Please go back to the old version. Otherwise I’ll have to move on to Lightroom or another program which I’d rather not do.

    RAW Support for Sony ILCE-7M5. RAW format from Sony ILCE-7M5 is not supported. It’s been 4months since the release of this camera.

    Needs a Serious Bug Fix. When are you going to fix the incompatibility of Snapseed with newer iPhone cameras? Been a Snapseed user for years. However, something has gone wrong… using an iPhone 15 gives snappy colors and crisp bright highlights… until I apply Snapseed edits which kill the highlights and flatten the colors. What gives? As a comparison, when I use TouchRetouch the color and brightness are not affected. Make this fix a priority.
