Sneaky Marketing; Poor Selection. I wanted to try the free trial and then a pop up said I could get one year for half price. I assumed incorrectly that meant it would start when the free trial was over. I reached out to customer support and got no answer. They mentioned in their reply that my inbox was full, but I have been getting emails on that address all that day and since then. Now I am stuck with an app which does not do what I want it to, adding my own recipes is a pain, the selection of recipes is poor. I would not recommend to anyone.

Not Pleased at All. I was told I had to sign up for the “free” trial, as there was no opting out of it. I was told I would be notified the days before it ended and renewed, but I had a feeling I would not be and (surprise) I was not. So I went in the exact day the “trial” was supposed to end and canceled, only to receive a notification a few days later saying it would not renew my subscription for the year 2026! The app isn’t even that helpful, and it’s so upsetting I’m out $59 when I just wanted help planning meals to save money! I didn’t even want the “free trial!”

Free trial didn't work. I created the account and set up the annual with the free week trial and the app kept opening to create account and have free trial. Never was able to get past that screen even when trying different login methods.

Charges you before 7day trial is finished. Lots of steps to go through to cancel.. Canceling is not easy. Not many substitutions on the recipes. Food is bland tasting.

Costs. I was excited because it had me doing a quiz and I was looking forward to getting some meal planning done. After spending some time doing the quiz it hits me with the ‘oh you’ll get a free trial for a week!’ Well it would have been nice to know you were planning to make me pay at all before I did the whole quiz…

False advertising: not free. Stated there was a free option, illegally lying. This is fraud. If I have to enter a card number it is not free. End of story. My 2026 wish is your bankruptcy for fraud.

Wasted my time. I wish these apps would let you know upfront if it’s a subscription or not. Wasted my time putting information in to then asked for card information for free trial. And we all know how that goes. Once they get your info, we forget about it and we’re subscribed.

If you need accuracy, this is not for you.. Nothing I’ve had is spectacular. Also calorie counts are loose because they don’t give specific counts on “processed” foods. So as a guide for meals, but nothing if you are actually trying. Save your money! Grocery list quantities are different than the recipe. This is completely worthless app!

Only works for one person. This app only works for one person. They are quick to take your subscription money. So I am trying to meal prep for my son and I. When selection meals it’s all fine and dandy. Then comes time to cook. Calories are different for my son and I, macros are different but same meals. So I select my icon and shows my macros and ingredients and quantities. When I select my son the amount of macros changes but the meal ingredient quantities do not change I explained this about 3 times to Andreas and his team. These clowns don’t seem to understand it. Take your money elsewhere. This is the last year I use this app. Total trash!

One can’t make substitutions, the recipes are quite boring, and the teams response time is slow or non existent! Do not buy! Stay away! If I could I’d give it zero stars!

Novice options a joke. I put in the most novice options because this app was suppose to make meal prep and grocery lists easy. They gave an extremely complex and expensive grocery list that is completely unattainable for my budget and lifestyle.
