   Paywall for random sounds. Had this app for years and only needed it occasionally for sleep when outside noise was too much. Now they added a paywall for sounds. Enjoy losing the majority of your users. I’ll buy a small fan to travel with instead of paying $70 annually for something you will eventually decide needs improving and increase the price. No thanks.

   Getting worse and worse with each update. Have had this app for about 4+ years now and has been great until recently. Started off being able to use every sound, combine them, etc. Evertually some stuff got locked behind a paywall but still a large amount of free sounds to use. After the most recent update, almost every sound and feature is locked behind a paywall. Can’t even use basic sound anymore. Sad to say I’ve deleted this app and moved to alternatives. Don’t waste your time if your looking for a free sound machine not worth at all

   Incredibly Disappointed. If I could give this less stars I would! I've had this app for probably as long as it’s been available. I purchased lifetime access to the entire library and now I’m being lied to by the developers saying that I only bought access to a one year subscription (which is not the case) just so they can sell us a subscription model at a much higher price! I will be deleting this app from my phone and looking for an alternative that doesn’t lie and try to swindle their customers who’ve already bought the app!

   Recent update paywalled everything. Used this for years for calming noises while I sleep. Recently had to update the app and now only like 5 sounds are free and you have to pay to keep using. Done with this app.

   Bad. I tried to use it and it makes you pay 🤮. I had to delete it cuz I thought that it was frozen it wasn’t. Not going to recommend unless your rich ✌️

   Long time user no more. I have had this app downloaded for years, I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve had it since it was first available. I opened it for the first time in a little while tonight, only to end up immediately deleting it. I always loved this app because it was a nice simple app to combine different sounds for your perfect mix for sleep. I had a mix saved that I loved of a thunderstorm in a city. Imagine my shock today when I want to use my old favorite to fall asleep to, only to be prompted to start my 7 day free trial, before being charged $69.99. Not even an option to continue using a lower tier for free, just outright pay or lose access. Such a shame.

    Annoying.. I tried to sign in and when I tried to it literally tried to force me to get a subscription? It just makes this app seem like a money hungry app. When I downloaded this in 2022 it wasn’t like this do better please.

    Disappointed. I’ve had this app for years and only had one sound mix with about 5-6 sounds on it. I don’t need it every night to sleep. So it came as a surprise when I open the app and only one of the sounds in my mix was available. That I had to pay to get the other sounds. You could have made it cost for all the other features you started adding. Deleted the app.

    Really disappointed in money grab. This really used to be my favorite sleep app by far, with all the customizability and great sounds. I've used it for many years, but with the most recent update, they took away the vast majority of the free options, including the sounds I've been using for literally years. There are now only a couple of free options that are honestly horrible sounds. It's extremely annoying, after being a longtime user, to see them pushing so hard to make this a subscription service. I would much rather have ads on the app than be pushed so hard to have yet another subscription that I don't want. This was a very bad choice from The developers, and I will not be getting the subscription service simply out of principle. Extremely frustrating.

    Greedy. Yall done got greedy. I’ve used this app for so many years, but will be deleting it as soon as I find a replacement. My favorite sounds that helped me sleep are no longer available without paying an extortionate fee. Disgrace and shame. Boo BetterSleep.

    They lied. I purchased for $5 last year the lifetime access to premium. Only to find out tonight they have taken that away. What a rip off of an app to offer that last year then not only honor it but charge 5 times as much for a year access. They will ruin their entire platform if they continue like this.     Adds and pay-gates. I used to use better sleep on almost a daily, I enjoyed having tiers I could pay for or even at first sound packs I could pay for, now the app after a long year, with a pregnant woman I haven’t had time to open the app for is entirely pay gated, 69.99 a year? Who is gonna pay that when half the payment goes to unused time within the app settings, we spend half our lives awake and even if we aren’t asleep pay for something that used to be free, time to use this idea for a similar app for free for everyone else

    Not free. I have had this app before and I remembered it so I redownloaded it then i did the questions at the beginning and then it took me to this page where it wouldn’t let me proceed and didn’t have and x or skip option and it was making me but premium or something and I just wanted to use the free options and it just wouldn’t let me use the app at all until I paid for something, it was stupid if the app is free then why do I have to pay for something to actually use it, there was no lead up no warning to it not being free and now I’m upset

    Downhill fast. I’ve used this app since 2014. It’s been getting worse slowly but surely. Adding premium features is normal, but taking away free features and locking them behind subscriptions? That’s just dirty. I caved last year and bought the lifetime membership because I had a newborn. Now it’s asking for a subscription?? No thanks, especially with how buggy it’s been. I’ll go back to an old school sound machine.

    No longer free. Sad to download this all after two years of not having it (before I’ve had it for 6 years thanks to my grandma), and to see it now having to pay. I’m not using the free trial considering it’ll be a waste of time anyways for me personally and when I want something I want it fully, not like this. Sure some sounds before we’re locked and premium but now to just use it completely is money? Bs.

    Disappointed. This is the first review I have ever written. I’ve been using this app for years. First it was free, then a year or two ago there was a lifetime subscription that I paid for, now there a monthly (or yearly) fee to pay? It’s like my lifetime subscription never even mattered. I cannot afford a monthly subscription, so I guess I have to find another app! Sucks, I used this app constantly!

    Longtime user frustrated.. I have used this app every single night for probably a decade. A few years ago, this app BEGGED you to spare a few dollars to support the app. If you didn’t respond and pay, they slowly started taking away features of the app. Eventually, I paid a few dollars for permanent use of the app. Last night, I go to play my usual mix. I see everything is behind a paywall besides a few random noises. This app is now asking for a monthly subscription. After a decade I’m officially turned off by this app and will be seeking alternate options. “You will own nothing and be happy” Not me!
